Better Roofer

Never replied or came back to fix it again ...

He came out and cleaned the gutters out. He was suppose to check out the roof. It was in the 90s and he said it was too hot and there was a risk of the shingles breaking off if he went up there, which I know to be true. But he never came back to check it. As for cleaning the gutters, he did a good job. As for as checking the roof, he didn't do anything.

Thought this was going to be a great experience since we found out about this business from Angie's List and after the first contact with this company. At first we thought they were on the expensive side but we were concerned more about the quality of work and a good experience while getting this work that was needed done to our home. Finally, after waiting and waiting and calling and waiting and being told over and over again that they would be returning to put the aluminium trim on the edges of the third floor roof we got someone to do it finally 5 months later from someone we knew personally and then did other work for us. Thank goodness we found someone honest and did what they said they were going to do. Never again and would not recommend this company for any roofing or mason work.

Because of an early freeze, the water and the leaves in the gutter were frozen sold at the first visit by the contractor. We had to wait until spring to get the gutters cleaned. The contractor came in early spring and cleared the leaves in the gutters.

He would text you and tell you he would stop by and he would never show. I'm still waiting for aluminum trim to be done on my third floor. One time he told me that it was waiting to be picked up and the next time I talked to him he said that it needed to be ordered. I recommended him to my friends and he was unreliable and irresponsible because he wouldn't show up. I will never use him again. Eric is a jerk. His worker did the roof so the roof as been fine. I ended up having a family member come out and finish the work.

It was fine. They found something with the roof that concerned them, so they did the repair right then and there.

They were very good. They came right out after the Big Deal was purchased.

It was fine. They cleaned the gutters and said the roof was fine. I have no complaints and it was what was expected. The guy was very professional.

Fine. Eric was professional, friendly, and extremely knowledgeable about roofing. We believe we got our money's worth and then some.

A few weeks after his initial work, the caulk started falling off. He informed me that he would stay in contact with me and attempt to come out when it was warmer. It took nearly 6 months (I felt as though I was reaching out to him more than he was to me) and even now I'm unsatisfied with the corrections. I had painters give me estimates to paint the same part of the house and they were all less expensive than his total, even commenting on the poor quality of the work (which they now have to correct). This experience was disappointing and expensive. In hindsight, I should have gotten other estimates. Unfortunately, I was under pressure with the coming winter months and I had hired Eric before to glean my gutters which went fairly well. If you read his ratings, it appears that customers are satisfied with the simple gutter cleaning ($80-$100), but the bigger jobs seem to leave many customers upset.

It went well. Provider was very prompt and professional in checking the roof. I was surprised by the little amount of time they spent on the roof (about 15-20 minutes). I thought it would take longer to perform all the tasks that were outlined in the description.

Eric responds quickly, (which is always appreciated) and is eager to do the work, however, his fees do not reflect the quality of work. He speaks as if he knows what he is doing, it is the execution that we were disappointed with. Our ($800.00) Ridge Vent was to be cut w/ a saw, (per pre-job discussions) but was done manually w/ an ax or similar tool. When I asked about the condition of the vent, he advised that the wood was too hard too cut with a saw. ~~~This response indicated to me that he did not have the proper tools for the job. Our ($800.00) Gutter installation. The down spout to the right of the door must have had a scratch in the white paint, so they spray painted it without protecting the siding , now there is over spray on the vinyl siding, in the most visible spot. I notified Eric of our disappointment in the ridge vent, and he handled it reasonably well. I may have been able to talk my husband into using him again IF he had offered a refund. I think the function of what he did was sufficient, but charged too much. ~~He put vents in our soffits too, which still has to be verified. If you decide to work with Eric, I suggest a fully itemized estimate so that you understand what you are getting for the money.

Roofer came to the house on time. They went onto the roof a re-nailed gutters and inspected the roof. They took no more then 15 minutes.

It was good. I would use the provider again in the future.

No issues. I wish I could say more but it was an inspection and that was it. The owner came out with one of his employees and while the guy on the roof did the work the owner explained what he was checking. It was worth it for the peace of mind and we may use them again to help with cutting some roof vents.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and they were fine. They did a good job of coming out in a timely fashion and worked hard. They were diligent, very friendly, cleaned everything up and had a good price.

Services were propmt, Technician was honest, direct and trustworthy. He was also quick and did exactly what he needed to do, without any type of run-around. He was honest in that he could have offered to repair additional items for a much heftier pricetag, but told us we really didn't need what we thought we needed. Instead it would only be a relatively simple repair. For that honesty, we were very thankful. We would happily use their services again.

He came and inspected the roof and everything else and put in what he thought it would cost and so forth and that but we weren’t happy with it. We had somebody else come and they were much lower. We thought he was very overpriced. He identified a couple of problems but evidently, there is another problem which he didn’t identify and he gave an estimate to fix the problems that he did identify and it was excessively high and we checked with a couple of others and they came in much lower. We weren’t exactly happy with him so we didn’t hire him. He was almost double with other people said with the problems he identified. He did come out and did do it. He did call back in a timely fashion and everything. He was very punctual and that was fine. He got back to us quite soon and so forth and that. That’s no problem or anything. It was just the end result. He was very responsive. He came when he said he was going to come. I never saw him but he was fine over the phone. The guy maybe very good, I don’t know but I just know that was what we felt. He never gave us anything in writing. It was only a phone message. We assumed that we get something in writing but we got nothing. That doesn’t help much when it was just a phone message. We would have liked something in writing for him to specify what was wrong. Maybe he did find the other problem but he didn’t leave that message on the phone. We have no way of knowing because he never sent us anything. Communication was a problem and maybe that’s the price was as high as it was. We weren’t happy that we didn’t get a mail from them.

The man said our vents were causing water to leak into a bedroom, also they needed to caulk the roof above another room that was getting water in. Due to snow it took a few weeks for them to be able to look at our roof. They replaced the Two bathroom vents on top of the roof. The cost to replace the two vents was 300.00. It seamed expensive to me being i already paid 79.00 to inspect and do minor repairs. The total was 379.00 to inspect and replace Two rubber vents. The man I dealt with was very nice and nailed up a piece of siding that was coming off.

Excellent. Will call back in spring

They showed up at my house without calling and letting me know when they were planning to come over. Work was done by the time I got home from work. I would have preferred that I was present during work being done.

I could not be happier with the cost, service, or workmanship. Highly recommended!

It was easy to schedule an appointment and he found a convenient time for us. With it being a roof, you always worry they are not going to be honest with you. He spent close to an hour and actually took pictures and explained everything what was going on. There were a couple of small repairs he recommended and we will call him back at some point to have those repairs completed. I felt that he was very trustworthy. Everything worked out fine!

There were no troubles with scheduling and there were no additional fees beyond the cost of the deal. I liked the owner and the technician who came out. They were very pleasant and I enjoyed talking to them. They did a job for me that I was unable to do myself. It was an offer that was offered at the time I needed the work. They came out, did the work quickly, left no mess behind, and the problem is gone. I am pleased with the service.

Due to the cold weather I had not expected to hear from him. He called one day, and the next day the work was completed.
