Better Roofer

In December, I purchased a coupon through Angie's List for gutter cleaning. Unfortunately, 2 days later it started snowing and didn't quit until last week. Eric let me know via email that he would watch for the weather to give him a chance to do the work. This wasn't the winter for any break though. Finally in March when the last glacier melted from my roof, I called Eric to see if we could schedule this service. He was here within 2 days of the call, made quick and efficient work of the gutter cleaning and gave me a report on the condition of my roof and siding. I asked about 2 additional maintenance items: 1) repairing numerous holes in my siding (left after previous owners removed shutters and flower boxes) and 2) completing a vent from kitchen range through the attic to the roof. He called and came out in less than a week with supplies needed for the jobs. Within a couple hours, he and his crew had completed the jobs. Eric is very efficient in responding to requests and running a tight schedule. He is a specialist and therefore, also quickly completes the work.

I purchased a Big Deal coupon and I hired him for repair beyond that and he did a really good job. He is very professional and very friendly. He found few things that needed to be worked on and he came back and did them. He was very timely. He came back a couple of weeks later after I purchased the coupon. He replaced that thing which is around the bathroom vents. I don’t know whom to compare the price to. I don’t know what to compare the quality to because I don’t know anything about roofing and I haven’t been up there and I don’t know what it looks like after he has done but it is holding up.

Called, he returned my call saying can we come right over. WOW couldn't ask for better service.

We had a good experience. We were very pleased with how they explained what needed to be fixed; it was very well done. They fixed what needed fixing and also made suggestions on what could be a problem and should be taken care of. We liked them and thought they were very good. We were very happy with them. The price was reasonable. They did some additional work for extra charge but it was all fair. It was logical.

They did do a good job at emptying my gutters, but did not tune them or even ask if I had a missing piece so they could reattach it (which I did). They were done rapidly, about 20 minutes, so it left me feeling a little suspect. Perhaps they should have waited for a better weather day, they came in the rain, and they could have been able to do more or better.

The upper roof is nearly flat and accessible via a short step ladder but he didn't bother going up to look it over. Supposedly the inspection costs $400 normally which I can't imagine not doing that for someone who had paid him $400 for the serivce. I had the impression that he wanted to get done as quickly as possibly and get on his way to jobs that would make him more money. When inside, he gave a perfunctory look at my ceiling where the leak was and to his credit gave me a detailed explanation of what I would need to do to fix it. After he left I got up on a ladder and realized that I could see light coming from under the flashing on the side wall. I suspected the problem was when we had high winds like the last storm and rain was coming in from the side rather than the top. I caulked the space heavily and have had no further trouble. If he had taken a bit more time and care he should have noticed the gap in the caulking. I will not be calling him again and would love to have my time and money back.

It turned out pretty good. We had a snowstorm that week but the guy from the company returned my call pretty promptly. It was about a day or two later because it was a weekend when I called and it was late so he returned my call that Monday and he made an appointment to come out. He was there promptly and on time and his services were good. He was not able to give me the inspection at that time because the roof was covered in snow but he made the necessary repair because I had a leak at that time. When the snow cleared up, he came back and made the inspection. It all went well. He provided the service approximately five days after I purchased the big deal. I do not have a lot of knowledge about the pricing of roofing services so I do not really have anything to compare his price to but I did not feel like I was overpaying. I had no further leaks after the service was provided. I plan to use him again in the future.

Everything had been installed correctly. I was very happy with the result obviously. They were also very polite, calm and very responsive. They did look over the roof and noticed that there were a bunch of tiles missing but it will not cause a leak.

I called Eric and explained my problem. Within 2 hours, he was at my house making the repair. Not only was the repair completed in a timely manner but it was also completed very economically. Eric even went out of his way to come back to the house to pick-up payment for his work. This guy is the real deal! You cannot go wrong by hiring Eric.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They did very well. They were very efficient, very friendly and very mannerly. I would certainly recommend them to other people. The cost was very reasonable. It was a very nasty day when they were here. It was cool and raining. It was a flat fee and they were here for 20-25 minutes. They blew the gutters out with water and then used a power machine to blow anything down through the downspouts. I don't have any problems or backups with the gutters right now. I paid more for somebody else to do it before. They came when they said and they were on time. He was a very nice and professional person. He was eastern European because he had a slight accent.

Very professional. Eric got back to me quickly after I left message. He arrived on time, told me what he planned to do and said he would let me know if he found anything that needed attention. After a short while, he rang my door bell to tell me he was finished with the job and that everything seemed to be in good condition. Eric was very pleasant and professional and I would highly recommend him. I think the price is correct; I made use of a coupon.

They were on time for the initial inspection which was done free of charge. Eric the owner walked through with me and explained all of the details of what he saw and showed me why it was a problem. Even with the bad weather that started the day of the scheduled work, Eric and his team were still able to meet their promised schedule and completed the work on time and as expected. I would highly recommend Better Roofer for any roofing needs you may have. Even if its just a question, Eric and his team have the answers. Thanks for the great service!

It turned out well. He did the job that he was supposed to do. I'm not a roofing inspector but he came out and did the work. He found out and I also knew that I had some roof repair that needed to be done so he did the repair and I paid extra for that. He did it timely and the price that I paid was fair. It was good work. He was very easy to work with in terms of scheduling.

Eric and one other person showed up on time and the inspection was done quickly. My roof is in great shape! The gutters were cleaned as well. I also asked Eric for an estimate on replacement of the roof on my shed. His prices are competitive and when I am ready to have the roof replaced, I will be calling him.

Friendly, professional, courteous - SOLID! I would recommend them in a heart beat! They showed up when they said they would, did the job and then some! Explained everything to fix the leak in our roof perfectly, calmly, KINDLY! Moving forward they are getting ALL our roofing business! We need more business owners like this one out there!

Company arrived on time and took photos of our roof and cleaned out the gutters. We're extremely professional and will hire again next season. Very happy with the service and thought it was a fair price.

They put up a ladder and an assistant walked around the roof for several minutes, the report was the roof was in good condition but one pipe needed new rubber flashing around it which they could do for $40 since they were there already. I declined, and later purchased the rubber seal at Lowes for $6 and slipped into place. A lot depends on your roof and how difficult or risky it might be to get up on it as well as your confidence and agility. This was pretty easy. He could have offered to do that for $10-$15 and would have had a sale.

Gutter cleaning went well but he said I needed some work around the pipes and quickly did it for $450. People are saying I should have gotten another estimate

Eric called me right away to set up a time to do the work. He came at the time agreed upon. He called to advise me of some problems with my roof. Very nice and respectful. I would hire him again!

Eric contacted us promptly and showed up alot sooner than anticipated. He and his helper cleaned out the gutters and downspouts, providing services and advice above and beyond the call of duty. We were very pleased and will certainly use his services in the future.
