My service folks were very professional, were careful with things in my home and cleaned up every day. Haller is organized and knowledgeable about what they do. They came on time and finished on time. I have used other HVAC companies over the last 37 years and kept switching because I was not happy. Haller has been the best by far.
Description of Work: Haller replaced my existing heat pump with new high efficiency gas and AC system. Last week, they sent a technician to perform my free first year check up.

+ -1 moreI have used them over the years. Other than the fact that they were expensive, they were great. They were punctual. We have found another contractor who is cheaper and haven?t used Haller in a while. Before I lived at this address I used them a lot because I lived in a small town where there was just not much competition. They always did a superb job. They did plumbing, work on my washing machine and sump pump. It was a good service. They were thorough and prompt. They never had to come back and fix anything that they had missed. They were reliable and were highly regarded in the area.

+ 0 moreThey initial call was accepted immediately. They courteously explained their pricing and billing. A technician was scheduled to come out. He arrived a few minutes early. He was very professional. He did the work that I had called about plus took care of the tub at an additional cost. He cleaned up after himself and left. This company requires an $89 fee to come out and then they give you an estimate after they access the situation. I liked this because I'm skeptical of paying an hourly rate which is basically some unknown figure that I may not be able to afford.
Description of Work: #1: The drain in my basement kept overflowing when my wash machine was extracting water. They came in and ran a snake to clear the clog. #2: My bath tub was draining slowly. They used a plunger and removed obstruction.

+ 0 moreTwo person and uniformed team from Haller Enterprises arrived on time and went right to work with impressive looking duct cleaning machine. The team was most professional, personable, and very knowledgeable. They were able to take before cleaning and after cleaning photos of the inside of the duct work which they shared with me. Those ducts are now clean! The air inside the house is noticably cleaner which I was not expecting. I was expecting to find a bit of dust from the cleaning process and did not find a speck. I know a person or two who have used other vendors and paid slightly less money to have the same number of vents cleaned, but given the professionalism and quality of work done by Haller, I would recommend them without hesitation.
Description of Work: Cleaned entire duct system (21 vents) and applied microbial barrier.

+ -1 moreI spent $4100 on that work. The guys were very respectful. They kept my house clean and they kept the noise down knowing that I had a baby. They asked permission whenever they made a noise. The work was perfect. The installation and the price was good, but the salesperson was horrible. He told me that he would follow-up and he was late by a week each time. It was tough to get a hold of him and it is a shame that they have a sales person like that because it makes their installers look bad who are really professional.

+ 0 moreIt went very smoothly on the whole with only one minor glitch, which was a bad capacitor in the heat pump. Because it was the Friday after Thanksgiving around 4:30 PM they could not get the part to replace it (their parts supplier was closed). However, it was fixed by 9:00 AM on Monday morning without even disturbing me. The project actually required a day and a half, but they made sure I had adequate heat during the interim (Fri to Monday). I am very impressed with Haller. I even recommended them to my company. Of all the contractors contacted for proposals, Haller was the only one with a professional approach and knowledgeable recommendations. In both instances Haller was a little higher in price (but not all that much) than others, but their experience, professionalism, and credibility (i.e. they are going to be around when you need them) makes the slightly higher cost definitely worth it!
Description of Work: Haller removed my old propane furnace and replaced it with what they had recommended - a two-stage system of heat pump with propane boost, variable speed, with humidifier. Because of the layout of my home and my use of specific areas, they did not recommend splitting the system into zones, which saved me a lot of money.

+ 0 morewhile i was at work, my son called to say there was a leak in the basement and water was spraying everywhere. My father went to the house and turned off the water. I called Haller, they came over very quickly and found that a plastic tube connected to the hot water heater had split open. The spraying water ruined my 7 year old hot water heater. I was unable to leave work. Haller spoke with my father, and spoke to me on the phone several times, with prices, options and progress reports. They stayed into the early evening and installed a new water heater, and came back the next day to complete minor details and explain what was done. All the workers were very pleasant, helpful and knowledgeable.

+ -1 moreThe experience was terrible because we needed the light installed and they clearly overcharged us for such a small job. Installing a light box in the ceiling - when all the other wiring was already in place - should not be $300.00! Additionally installing a dimmer switch should not cost $500.00. Total rip-off and they never installed the caps on the wiring before WE INSTALLED the light - they just left live wires uncapped in the lighting box!
Description of Work: They were asked to install a new light box in the second floor ceiling. Access was easy and wiring was already there for light switches. If we wanted a dimmer on the light they would have charged us $500.00. This is a ridiculous price for such a small job. I would never recommend them.

water heater repair
+ -1 moreOur traditional water heater had a slow leak, whch quickly turned into a much faster leak. It needed to be replaced. I called Haller, and they had someone over to our house almost immedately. We discussed our options with the rep, and decided on a tankless replacement. The Haller reps were very knowledgable, professional and thorough. He walked us through the pros and cons of Tankless vs. traditional Water Heater, and discussed, in detail, the things that we hadn't even considered (venting, electrical access, etc.) . Our Hot water heater was installed within 24 hours. I couldn't have asked for better service.

Unlike some other companies that I employed in the past, Haller completed everything that was included in the contract. It was a no brainer to employ Haller to replace the heating and air conditioning system when unrepairable problem arose. The estimate was provided on the day scheduled. The installation was scheduled and performed as per the schedule. Haller technitions are the best. The install was completed flawlessly. The quality of work is excellent. The new Trane equipment is operating better then I could have hoped. Haller will continue to be my company of choice.
Description of Work: Remove and replaced heating and air conditioning system. Installed new whole house air filtration system and reinstalled existing humidifier.

+ -1 moreIt was a WONDERFUL experience! The service technician was courteous and respectful of my property and home. I really appreciated the technician wearing foot covers and cleaning up after the work was completed. HE EVEN PUT MY POTS AND PANS BACK AFTER HE FINISHED. While investigating the problem, the technician noticed nearby pipes that were also potential problems. We decided to act on the technician's recommendation and replaced all the pipes under the sink to avoid future problems. I have used this company in the past for heating and I will definitely call on this company again for plumbing as well.
Description of Work: The night before leaving for vacation, I was doing dishes and noticed water was pouring out from underneath my sink. To my surprise the main drain pipe under the sink was corroded and rotted completely through. I called Haller right away. It was after hours so my call was answered by their after hours answering service. Within minutes, I received a call back from the plumber on call. I explained our situation and asked him for his professional opinion on what we should do. He was very informative and helpful. He mentioned that he could come out that same evening or he could make sure that he was personally dispatched upon our return. He told us that we should shut the water off to the home while on vacation to be safe. I provided him with my cell phone number so a Customer Service Rep could call us the next day to get on the schedule promptly upon our return. The next day, we received the call and scheduled our service! What a relief to go on vacation and know that everything will be taken care of when you come back.

+ -1 moreI asked someone from Haller to investigate a problem. The plumber they sent was very rude, uncommunicative, and racist. He was unprofessional and never answered my questions in a clear manner. He provided an estimate of $1,745 for a new water pump. When I had a second plumber come out for a second opinion, he installed a new water pressure switch and charged me $40 for the part. Do not hire a Haller plumber just because they are a large company. You will, as I learned, get better service from a smaller company who is more apt to do a good job to earn good referrals.
Description of Work: I asked someone from Haller to investigate a problem, and to provide an estimate, if necessary.

+ -1 moreI set up an appointment with this firm through their website in the evening and was promptly called the next morning (about 7:30 AM) to schedule an appointment. They were very open to working with your schedule, you can request to have the technician call you one hour before arrival. My time schedule changed a bit from when I made the appointment and they were able to accommodate that change. I had both an electrical and plumbing issue. They had to send two technicians (plumber and electrician), but they were both quick to arrive and fix the problems.
Description of Work: My downstairs toilet would not flush and I initially thought it was a faulty Studor vent, but after further review by the technician, he pointed out that the plumbing was not venting the air outwards on the other side of the system. He then was able to identify a pipe that was a vent that was not connected properly and was able to correct the issue. The initial plumbing work was not completed by Haller. The technician also installed an outdoor faucet.
