Excellent/top notch service. On time, professional, CLEAN, friendly. We were originally scheduled for 9-10-15. They had a cancellation and called us to squeeze us in as our A/C was on it's last legs

The technicians and owner were all amazing. They were respectful of my home, prompt, professional and extremely friendly. The owner's son completed the replacement in a timely manner. Even my three year old son enjoyed chatting with him. I would definitely recommend their services and would use them again.

Dennis, his son Adam and all the crew were polite, prompt, pleasant, and neat. The job was performed as promised without delay. The heating unit failed when initially used in the following fall (mother board malfunction). Dennis responded appropriately and replaced the defective part without charge (but with apology). The HVAC unit has improved the comfort inside our home. Just this month Adam made repairs to an mini-split heating and A/C unit installed by Oehlart. The flawed installation allowed every bit of freon to escape the unit (100's of $$ of freon gone). Adam and his assistant completed the repairs, explained the issues and left everything tidy. Yes we would highly recommend D.P. Marlatt and Son. Yes we would call them back anytime we needed service or repairs.

Went great. My furnace broke and I was using the fireplace to keep my house warm. Dennis came in and gave me a reasonable quote that I crosschecked with a buddy that is a HVAC installer in another state. During the install the crew was quick and professional and let no trace of being here other than the new units. They took the time to walk me through the installation and operation. I would use them again in the future no questions asked.

Dennis first came on Friday 02/20/15 and promptly diagnosed the problem with out heating unit, and called the supplier who did not have the part in stock. Dennis offered to have one of his guys go pick up the item at a distant location, that's much concern he had. All the same i elected to wait until today when the part would have been shipped. All the same he came today and replaced the faulty part and alas, we have warm air for a change. He will certainly be my go to person for all HVAC issues, the price was very good too, will certainly recommend him to anyone looking for quality HVAC service.

I was looking for a new company to provide my yearly maintenance of my oil burner. When I checked Angie's List this company had a very high grade so I was confident about hiring them. Fortunately it was a very good experience. Adam and another gentleman came out to my house and showed up not only on time but a few minutes early. They got right to work and were very efficient. Adam gave me some tips about maintaining my air filters, etc. He was very friendly and courteous. The price was good the experience good and I would definitely hire them again.

Dennis was great! On time and pleasant. Realized it was a simple switch that was turned off. He quick fixed and made sure there were no other issues. He decided not to charge me. I will absolutely use him again in the next few weeks for a check up.

Very responsive. Returned calls promptly and very helpful. Adam came out on time (on a Saturday) and got our heater up and running in no time. Will definitely use them in the future.

This is a top-notch and class act business to deal with. I did a lot of research when I decided to convert from an oil to gas system and I had a lot of companies in for estimates. Whereas a lot of other companies advised me to have a direct heating system for my hot water, Dennis was the only person to (correctly) identify that an indirect set up would be far (FAR) more efficient -- and that is because unlike the salesmen who came through my door, Dennis has a background of actually working on, servicing, installing, and maintaining HVAC systems. That kind of knowledge is paramount to providing good service. Dennis, by the way, also gave me the fairest price of all the companies I had in. This is a business with a solid knowledge base, expertise in what they do, and they do business the right way without raking customers over the coals. I want to add an anecdote here which really exemplifies what DP Marlatt is all about. My oil tank was low and leaking when I initiated the contract with Dennis -- thus in dire need of replacing. Dennis advised me to use diesel fuel as a holdover instead of getting a costly oil delivery (example of insider trade knowledge). I didn't keep a very good eye on my oil levels and ran out, and so I needed an emergency service on my system. Dennis sent his son to do the work -- and he was excellent, clean, and knowledgable. What I really appreciated, though, was that they cut me a break on the cost of the maintenance because they knew I was getting the install a week later. I appreciate the opportunity to support family owned and small business whenever possible; DP Marlatt makes that decision very easy to do. I highly recommend DP Marlatt for any and all HVAC needs.

After two days without heat in December and an outrageously high quote from a major regional provider, Dennis replaced our circulator pump in about 2 hours. He arrived on time (earlier than the original window, but with plenty of notice) and was very friendly and professional. He provided clear answers to all of my questions and was very respectful of our home. When the work was complete, he presented a detailed invoice with clearly-defined charges. The total cost of work was more than $1000 below our other quote. I will definitely call D.P. Marlatt for our future service and installation needs.

They showed up early and got to work right away. They were quick and friendly, and covered their boots when walking through the house. I even got a tip on where to find the nice HEPA filters for a lot cheaper than the usual hardware stores so I'm looking forward to checking that out. I've been using D.P. Marlatt and Son now for a year for our furnace and A/C pre-season check and they've always been punctual and professional.

This is the second season that I have used D.P. Marlatt and Son. I could not be more pleased with their friendly service, response to calls and Quality of professionalism and workmanship. We were having issues with our furnace firing and when it ignited, there would be smoke that back filled our basement. I called Dennis (the owner) last Thursday, 9/18 and he had sent service technicians, Adam and Jim to my home on Monday, 9/22. Adam and Jim were courtious, informative and very professional. They looked over the system, diagnosed the problem and were timely in letting me know exactly what the issue was. They replaced the oil pump, cleaned the flue and chimney and serviced the boiler. After the work was completed, the work area was left spotless. I will not think twice to call D.P Marlatt and Son for any of my HVAC needs. Thank you D.P. Marlatt and Son.

Perfectly. Adam and Jim arrived right on schedule. They were not fazed when I mentioned that I hadn't had an A/C tune-up in years. As I watched them work, Adam gave me numerous tips about maintaining my HVAC system. They noted that I was down about a pound of refrigerant, so they added it (the cost includes the refrigerant). I mentioned that I would like to use the 10% discount they are offering for Angie's List members, and they happily factored that into the bill. Adam and Jim were very pleasant and friendly, and I enjoyed speaking with them. I won't hesitate to call them in the future.

Excellent service! They arrived on time, were extremely professional, fixed everything they said they would and when they found extra damage not previously seen, they fixed that too. I am very happy with their services and will use them for my a/c maintenance and repair.

Dennis is very knowledgeable and helpful in choosing the right system for you. He provided quotes on three different American Standard systems and explained the advantages and disadvantages of each one. Dennis is very responsive. He always replies quickly to any questions or concerns you may have. Adam and Jim did an excellent job on the installation. As the work progressed they would frequently check for your preferences. They vacuumed all the work areas as the installation progressed and treated your house as if it was their own. The system works great and I am thoroughly satisfied. I would recommend D.P. Marlatt Co. to anyone. They are a pleasure to do business with.

I am very pleased with all of the work that was done by Dennis and his crew. What I am even more pleased with is the fact that he saved me about $4500. The bolts for the hot water coil on top of the oil burner was rusted badly and the main line for the radiators was rusted in one spot and finally blew a hole with hot water spewing into the basement and all the radiators draining out. I was told the year before by my serviceman that it could not be repaired and it will cost about $5000 for a new burner. When the pipe finally blew this past spring I contacted Dennis and another service company thru Angies list for quotes. The other company also came in around $5000 and I was told again "No, it can not be repaired and thats too bad because the burner itself looks to be very good". However, Dennis said "Sure I can fix that! - That's a good burner you have there" and he did for about $450. Now I have heat and a dry basement with a savings of $4500 - It's a beautiful thing. I decided to put in a hot water heater rather than using oil to heat the water as I was told by Dennis (and the other contractors) that it is more economical and that most people these days are doing exactly that. Dennis even came in about $150 less for the same 50 gallon water heater than my other quote. He installed the heater, the water softener, electronic fuel gauge and some misc work all at a very reasonable cost. Both Dennis and his son are friendly and personable but also very professional. The work was done on two separate dates and on the second appointment I was unable to be home, although I originally had planned on being there. I left the door unlocked for them and was quite comfortable leaving them alone in my house. I will definitely be using their services in the future and highly recommend them for any heating and cooling needs.

It was minor repair . A mouse had caused a short. Dennis got here the next day during the 1st heat spell of the year. He fixed it in 10 mins. His competition said ONE WEEK till they could come out. It looks like I have also found my new heating service company as well!

Dennis and Adam arrived 5 minutes before the appointment. Dennis examined the boiler and found that the water pressure was low. Later, they found that the low pressure was due to the broken three way relay. They did not have the relay in the track. So they went to the hardware store, come back in 20 minutes with a new relay and replaced with the new one. Also they purged air out of the system. While they were working on the system, they explained in details. They know the system very well. I recommend them highly. No wonder they received 2013 Super Service Award.

The technician arrived early and was ready to go right away. He was very friendly and explained everything that needed to be done before he got started. Once he opened up the furnace he was able to tell me right away that this was going to be a routine inspection and cleaning and should only take half an hour. In that time he was able to clean and inspect the furnace and run some tests with the thermostat. He also replaced the filter and explained which filters to buy in the future, and why to switch filters in the summer for the AC unit, and also why its important to be more diligent about changing the filter in the summer.

Dennis was excellent - from estimate to install. He fully discussed and estimated all the varied options to get this done. He was very clear on the plusses and minuses of each option. The job was completed to perfection in a few hours - you would not even know they were there. He came in at a lower price, significantly so, by putting in only what we needed to the job we described. We did not have that experience with others estimating the same job - they all tried to turn it into a more major thing - with far greater cost. I fully intend to use their services for all our HVAC needs going forward.

I was told by my HVAC contractor that my heat pump was leaking Freon from the condenser unit and I needed to replace the entire heat pump system. I decided to contact multiple HVAC contractors to compare prices to replace a 3.5 ton heat pump. D.P. Marlatt and Son was one of the HVAC contractors I contacted. When speaking with Dennis I explained the problem I was having with my heat pump. Dennis said the make and model heat pump that I have is a very good one and was surprised that the contractor wanted to replace it without trying to fix it first. He did ask me if I was sure that there was an actual Freon leak and also asked if the HVAC contractor preformed any dye leak testing to find the leak. I told him that I was not sure if there was a leak I can only go by what I was told and a dye leak test was not preformed. Dennis came to my home and took the time (nearly 45 minutes) to thoroughly inspect the condenser unit, Freon lines and compressor for leaks using a Freon leak detector and could not find any leaks. That certainly was great news but the thing that really impressed me was Dennis did not charge me this service. That really showed me that Dennis is the type of person I can trust and want to do business with. Needless to say, I am now a customer of D.P. Marlatt and Son.
