Description of Work: This work was done in Feb. 2008, but we still live with the problems. The ridge vents they recommended that we paid extra for are totally ineffective on our type of roof. They removed what had been a very functional fan when they put the ridge vents in, claiming that we wouldn't need the fan anymore. Now our attic is horrendously hot in the summer and makes the whole house hotter. | |Besides that, a careless worker fell off our two story roof in front of my eyes, narrowly missing landing on a shingle remover tool that would have gutted him. Miraculously, he walked away, though I'm sure he must have suffered back problems for the rest of his life.

Description of Work: We had a leak from the ceiling in family room during storms. Representative came out and examined roof, diagnosing the problem as worn gasket around exhaust pipe in roof. Also saw areas that needed to be caulked. Company sent roofer out a few days later and he completed all necessary work. After several strong storms, we have not had any more leaks. Both gentlemen were very professional and thorough in answering questions.

Description of Work: I had my roof replaced - we had some leaking issues and well it was just old and needed to be replaced. Jeff spent a LOT of time with me when he did the estimate. He didn't rush around and didn't talk down to me as other contractors did. You can tell that this business means a lot to him and he cares about his clients. His staff was very professional and after it was all done, we had a problem with one area and he came back immediately to check it and even though it was a window issue and not a roof problem, he showed up with a new can of caulk and sealed it for us at no charge. If I moved and my new house needed a roof, I'd hire this company in an instant. You won't go wrong with them. Every so often I pass by their office and it's beautiful -- all of the things they sell and do, you can see on their house. Jeff is a great guy. And Joanie in the office is sweet as well. This is a contractor you can absolutely trust.

Description of Work: I called a roofer, not on Angie's list,to look at a porch roof. While he was there he told me I needed a new roof on my home. I called Janville to get a second opinion. They told me there was nothing wrong with my roof, and it would probably hold up for another 5 years. When that roof needs replacing you can be sure the first company I call will be Janville.

 + -1 moreThey did a great job. It was a pretty simple thing, but it makes a big difference when the water is not coming in through our ceiling. They had been out a couple of times and tried some other things before we finally figured out it was from the vent stack not having a cap on it. Their price was reasonable considering the amount of time they were here.
Description of Work: I used Janville Roofing & Siding 6-8 weeks ago. I had a leak in the ceiling in one of my bedrooms. They were able to locate it and find out where on the roof it was coming from. It actually turned out to be a radon vent stack. They put a cap on it and the leak stopped.

I sent them a deposit and arranged for them to do the work about a month later. Brian came when he promised, but brought wrong shingles. We needed "metric". He found them and a crew came out the following week.

Work site was kept clean and dumpster removed the day after job completion. I have already used this company for both siding and roofing with excellent results.
