Roughneck Pest Control

Description of Work: Purchased a package to stop mice from entering our house. Roughneck did a great job.

Description of Work: We bought a house in Jan'14. During the inspection I was told there were rodent drops in the attic and basement. I purchased ROUGHNECK's $199 rodent abatement package thru Angie's List after seeing some excellent rating about the company. Initial inspection was scheduled after multiple calls, which was a quick visit by the owner (I think) as he was in training in my town. He checked the house, tossed couple of poison pack in the attic, and recommended to get the garage door fixed as there were few gaps at the bottom. He said he will make couple of more trips to monitor and ensure the house is Rodent free. Next visit was scheduled after a week, but no one showed up. I couldn't follow up for couple of weeks as I was busy. In the mean time I replaced the garage doors. When I contacted him in March, he said he was at the house and left his card at the door. I had contractors working on the day of his 2nd visit also I was working from home, but we did not see anyone from ROUGHNECK coming, neither I found any card on the door. If I was not at the house, I wonder why he did not call. When I asked, if he is willing to come over again for a follow up? He questioned, if I have seen any mouse around (as if mouse moves around people at broad day light). The conversation ended up in an argument as he was rude, shouting and won't let me talk. I gave up as he started becoming abusive and called me liar. Finally I said, I hired him through Angie's list and is going to put a bad review. His answer was, "Do I care?".

Description of Work: Purchased a big deal from Roughneck. My work schedule at the time did not permit me to take any time off, so I had to depend on a relative to be there. Well it turned out that the relative was not so dependable. I have an awful lot on my plate right now with my mother having to go into a nursing home, having to sell her house and taking care of all her affairs as well as my own. I felt bad that these guys were inconvenienced but I could not reschedule and be there myself, so I told them to just keep the money and forget about the deal. Bill, the owner, called me back. He was very sympathetic and said he did not want to take my money and not provide the service. He came out and met me at the house on a weekend on his way to some obligation with his wife and kids in the car! You certainly can't ask for better service than that. Communication was good from the start and they performed the service as described in the deal. I would use them again if needed in the future, although I'm not sure if they would want me to! ;)
