Description of Work: The Remodeling Concepts crew arrived at 7am to put on my roof, worked like a well oiled machine all day and were completely done, including cleanup by 4:00! Very friendly and accommodating as we were working on running downspout drainage in the yard at the same time.

Description of Work: Computer generated designed our bathroom. Then did actual remodel including expanding the size of the bathroom.

Description of Work: Replaced all of my siding. Performed some replacement of rotting wood, Were very professional and responsive.

Description of Work: Remodeling Concepts renovated our home kitchen. We were very pleased with the work as well as the overall service. Rich Sybesma met with us first to review possible designs for the kitchen. He asked a lot of relevant questions and pointed out a lot of options. We never felt pushed into anything. Once we settled on the design and the materials, we selected a starting date. The crews showed up on time, on the agreed-upon dates. I was also pleased that there was good communication on the part of those who were doing the work-if they had any questions, they asked us. The entire project took longer than we thought but from what I understand, that's common. We are very pleased with our new kitchen and with the work that was done by Remodeling Concepts.

Description of Work: They patched a hole in the ceiling; installed new granite countertops and installed a new sink; tiled the backsplash; renovated part of a bathroom (new shower fixtures and tile but existing tub); replaced rotten boards on side of house. The quality of work was uneven -- some was very good, some was so so -- for example, they didn't bother to clean the edges of the tub before they grouted, using transparent grout, so it permanently looks dirty; the boards on the side of the house popped out almost immediately (though they did come back to repair them); I had to persuade the painter to just paint the side of the building rather than keep trying, unsuccessfully, to match the existing paint; some of the tile in the bathroom was not installed evenly; to this day, the water that comes out of the new tub fixture starts out rusty. On the plus side, there was a very nice young woman who helped free of charge with the kitchen design and the small shelves in front of the island came out well.

Description of Work: We hired Remodeling Concepts for a 15 window job as well as some drywall repair, a roof leak, and a door hanging. We got three quotes and Remodeling Concepts was about 20% less expensive than either of the other 2 quotes. Although the quote assumed that they would do all the work at once, they made a point of sending someone early to do the roof repair. When the windows were ready from the manufacturer, the window installation only took 2 days. I want to share a quick story about the door hanging to exemplify what made Remodeling Concepts so great. My wife was at home to let in the workman, but she mistakenly told him to hang the door incorrectly (on the wrong side of the frame). When Remodeling Concepts called to check if we were happy with the service, I sheepishly told them that the door had been hung wrong but despite the fact that it was our fault they scheduled the workman to come back the next day to hang the door properly and our final payment number didn't change at all. Remodeling Concepts gives exceptional attention to customer satisfaction at a great price.

Description of Work: They replaced our roof in one day and it looks great! They also installed a floor, shower tile, and celling fan. Everything looks great and the service techs were friendly.

Description of Work: The job was a renovation for a very old bathroom the included removing a stair case. The start date was 4 months from the $4,000 dollar deposit date. The 3D rendering did not include the view of the ceiling... the first upgrade to include a light/night light with fan unit was $490 (otherwise there was not enough lighting for the room.) The project finally started in February when it was bitterly cold. The windows were left wide open during demolition which caused the 100 year old plater dust to coat 3 floors of the house due to lack of proper containment. The demolition was not complete when the electrician arrived and had to be rescheduled. This sort of issue came up several times...There were cigarette butts and debris left in the yard when the snow melted. The finish was worn off the unprotected oak stairs by repeated up and down trips to cut tile. There was something that was dripped from the walkway from the house down part of the driveway...some of which is still there. There were dings in the fir beams and entrance way in the upstairs. The custom vanity did not fit the cherry base - there was no overhang in the front - only on the sides so we ordered one elsewhere. There were staples left broken off on the floor...We ended up with a chipped bathtub...It was, all in all, a very unsatisfactory experience. An estimated two week job lasted 4 months for one small bathroom...due to weather, scheduling problems and who knows what. There is more, believe it or not, but this about covers the worst of it. I do believe lack of oversight was a huge issue. The one positive is that everyone who came to work was extremely pleasant. They did come back several times to fix the stairs... nail pops, scratched new tub, missed area of paint, etc. The dings and scars are still visible and we have a chipped bathtub to boot in our newly renovated bathroom....It has been a very costly mistake....I am wary to use Angie' s list again. We will certainly get more than one bid on our next project.

Description of Work: We consulted Remodeling Concepts pursuant to a special offer for a consult and 3D renderings on a remodeling project - specifically, our planned kitchen remodel. Dave came to our house and gave thorough consideration to all our ideas about the remodel (which included a full gut, wall removal and installation of all new cabinets, electric, plumbing, etc.). We then went to his office to see some of the cabinetry they offer, and went over the drawings they came up with in detail. The drawings were great, they captured exactly what we wanted to do, and both Dave and his designer Ilona were very patient about talking through the feasibility of changes. Ultimately, the project estimate was reasonable compared to other estimates we had received. We have not done the work yet, as we had a few unexpected life events, but plan to use RC for the kitchen remodel hopefully in early 2016. We were really impressed with the qualify of their work thus far and their attention to their customers.

Description of Work: Rich provided me with an estimate to complete my bathroom renovation. It was a unique project because I attempted to do it myself but due to time constraints I needed to bring in a crew. While we chose to go with someone else, Rich was a best in class professional throughout the process.

Description of Work: I was overall satisfied. We had one hiccup that they corrected. They broke a skylight when removing the roof which splattered glass all over my family room area. No one called me, the glass in my home was a surprise. There were a couple people there, but they didn't speak English. I didn't hear back from the supervisor until the next day. I feel they should have been more proactive in letting me know there was an error.
