Scheduling went fine and they were very responsive and got back to within a day with any questions I had. The plans were uninspiring however. They were professional and turned the plans around in a timely manner.

They responded when plans were ready for me to see and I arranged a time to see my "3d renderings for me to keep". When I arrived, I saw some printed pages of the "plan" for remodelling my bathroom. There was a selection of suggested finishes, colors, etc. There was no 3d rendering or anything like it for me to keep. Instead there was a projected cost to do the project for some $52,000 +. The design they showed me (via 4 printed pages whiched were placed together on a table) their design, which did not coincide with the plans I had discussed with the representative that came to my home to measure. When I mentioned this, the girl in the showroom appeared not to know what to do. She told me I would have to discuss that with someone else who was not available that day. I had already wasted enough time and money by then and still had not received what I paid for. I felt like the "Angies List deal" was simply a ploy to sucker people in to be presented with an outladishly overpriced proposal for renovation.
Description of Work: They came to my home and measured. We discussed what I was interested in having done. When they had completed the plans they were in contact with me, but by then my work schedule had changed and I didn't have time to meet with them. When I finally had time (months later), I called to arrange to see the plans. I was told that they had experienced a computer glitch and my plans had been lost. They came again and measured and discussed what I wanted done.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately between the long delay between the customer wanting to get together with us there was some paperwork that had gone missing in the system and we wanted to make sure we had the most accurate info for our meeting so we made the effort to revisit the site to confirm dimensions. We did still have all of our original notes and designed the space based off of both sets of notes that we similar. The project totaled over $50 K and we feel that this may have been more than the customer wanted to spend. We always ask customers their budgets and it makes it difficult when we don't have an idea of where the customer wants to be financially to design the project properly. Bathrooms can range substantially in cost with finish options. Upon meeting with the client we reviewed and asked if he had any changes and never ask for anything. We would have been happy to make any corrections that he would have wanted. We are sorry things didn't work out.

I wasn’t very pleased with this deal. I don’t feel like I got my money’s worth. They came and took the measurements and gave us the design. We were hoping that when he took the measurements he would talk about our options and what designs would look good. The 3D-design looks exactly the same as my kitchen currently does.

We like to have customers into our showroom after design is completed to have a conversation with them on the drawing and proposal. That way we can make revisions based on our discussions and what other options are available. It also allows customers to look at the different materials we offer. Customer did not want to come into the showroom so we emailed them the designs. Sorry things did not work out.

Thanks for your feedback. Because the customer wanted to keep about 80% of the existing cabinets we were limited on what we could do without doing a new layout. A new layout would include new flooring , which would increase the cost. We were trying to keep with in his budget but we were willing to work with the customer. We are sorry things didn't work out.

Overall, my patio door replacement project was stalled by a series of surprise switches on the part of Remodeling Concepts. The owner, Dave Martin, was fully informed about the condition of my doorway, from emailed photos and detailed descriptions. I made it clear the doorway's, wood framing had to be replaced along with the old patio door. Dave responded with a price for my, particular, project. It was acceptable for my budget and I followed up with his recommendation to purchase two deals, totaling $500. He stated my total "out of pocket" would be $740. Tom Fistler was sent out, on my request for a preliminary,on-site inspection of the doorway. Mr Fistler outlined his ideas for a quality installation. It included new framing, a protective barrier, at least, on the threshold section and extra capping to the left and right of the door space. I was impressed. He said achieving the best job was always their aim and I, so far, had no reason to assume less. The Reversal: The contract they sent was for far less than their best. Mr Fistler admitted it allowed for the installation of the new, patio door on top of old, rotted, wood framing. No language for carting away the old door. It simply said "remove" it from the door space. Not a single word from his original plan was in print. In fact, the job evidenced no more detail than three lines and one of those only said, pick up the door from the supplier and deliver. Mr Fistler misinformed Angie's List, claiming alleged demands by the customer necessitated a higher price on installation. However, hiis sentence before this said they were not,"jacking up the price." Is not " a higher price" another way of saying, jacking up the price?! I expected only what Mr Fistler had outlined. Instead, they were set to give me the worst installation possible unless I paid a lot more for better, a bait and switch. In addition, their delivery charge was $75 dollars; making it the highest price I had recorded...having researched it prior to contacting them. No one I called had over $50 for delivery, not even a supplier 3 miles from their place of business in Langhorne, over 22 miles from my house. Distance from the door at Pik-A-Panel, Germantown Avenue to my house? , 5.61 miles... hardly measurable in gas mileage. It was not the first or second clue I had reason to question their honesty. In the contract sent to me, It was the mistrust of the customer's intent to pay that I found ironic and unnecessary. It demanded, in violation of Angie's List procedure, payment of all cost before any work was to be done. Angie's procedure posted my $500 as representing $1,000 of payment value, enough to begin service. Payment schedules are common in the contracting business. The contract went on to threaten a "lien" against my property if I failed to pay on time. The contract even allowed for third parties, not directly included on the contract,to lay legal claim to payment above and beyond what I signed for with Angie's List. Tom Fistler did not answer this conflicting part of their contract except to deny, without explanation, what was clearly in print. I can say I regret this did not go well because, the bait and switch experience was in contrast to the likability of the people, themselves. (Surprising, but true) Sincerely, Cliff PS: do not want intervention by Angie,s, want a new contractor REPONSES to CONTRACTOR: I've been a college professor. Attention to details have been part of my career. On first contact I detailed from where and whom I intended to buy the patio door. In fact, there never was a conversation to buy a door from them. BEWARE !

Thank you for your feedback. Customer didn't want to buy door from us. He shopped around for doors and when we told him a delivery fee would be involved customer wasn't happy. We needed to charge the delivery fee because it cost money to delivery the door to customer and it's a liability to us if someone got hurt. The deal was structured by Angie's and ended by a more difficult deal than we realized it would be. We do apologize that this didn't work out. We wish you the best.

They were professional, and I believe they would have done a good job on the kitchen remodel. They like to do things during business hours, so you might need to take a few hours out of your day to get initial estimates, etc. BUT they did work with us to stop by around 5, so that was very nice. They like to use high-end materials it seems like. In the end, we weren't super-motivated by their proposed plan, which isn't their fault. They proposed what we asked for. Rather, we needed much more time to determine how many walls we want removed, whether we want to do any of it ourselves, etc.
Description of Work: They measured our kitchen dimensions, did an assessment for remodeling, and gave us a proposed renovation plan, including removing one wall.

Remodeling Concepts replaced my roof - stripped off the old shingles, put down insulation & new shingles & did whatever else is expected when you have a new roof put on yr house. The shingles are blue which I really like :-). I was most impressed by their hard-working and amiable crew, and that every night when they left, they cleaned everything very carefully even though they'd have to make another mess the following day. I am totally pleased & I would recommend them highly.

We were very satisfied with their work. We were very satisfied with the price and the service. The service was excellent. They were extremely helpful. They're very cooperative. They did the work very professionally. The price was excellent. The quality of the work has been excellent. We didn't have any complaints at all. Any questions that we had, they answered right away. They were on time. They said they're going to be here in a certain time, they showed up on time. When they did the appointment for the estimate, they were on time as well. The gentleman who owned the company explained all of our options, when he would do the work and how long it would take. He was very professional. I would definitely use them again in the future.

We need new basement windows for our 100 year old house. These are 18" x 30" single pane wood-sash windows, painted shut. Not knowing how many deals to purchase, (not knowing how much it would cost to replace 7 windows), I contacted the company. They responded very promptly and set up an appt to do a proposal. They said that although the deal would be over by that date, they would still honor it. Very professional of them! The technical person arrived on time (called to say he might be late),and promptly went to work , measuring my windows and explaining the job. I also asked if he would include replacing our wooden basement door with a steel entry door. He spent a good amount of time and I felt he covered all the bases. I received an emailed proposal within 2 days. Unfortunately, the proposal was on a single line including materials and labor: $5,615 for 7 replacement basement windows and a steel door, installed. (Minus the Angie's List deal, the cost would have been $4,615.) This was FAR beyond our budget. When I replied, asking for a breakdown of the material and labor costs (thinking we might do this in stages, to afford it over time) I received the response: " Sorry, we do not do break downs." Any company that will not be transparent about their costs is not a company I will work with. Period. We contacted a contractor who had recently done a kitchen renovation for us and he is doing the same job for less than $3,000, AND we know exactly how much the windows cost, and how much his labor cost is. THAT gets my business.
Description of Work: Saw a deal on Angie's List for windows. One of their guys came out to my home to provide an estimate. I did not hire this company.

When they first came over they noticed that the insulation in the attic had not properly been installed, so the flocking material was over the overhang where there is supposed to be ventilation. They didn't want to put the roof on until this was fixed. I reached out to the company that installed the insulation to come and out it in again. I was interested in energy efficiency for my roof, I could have gone with a material that was specifically for energy savings, but he told me that if I went with the regular level, it should be about the same, which saves me a couple of thousand dollars. Took out the rotted boards in the roof. I'm happy with what they did. They did not replace the flashing around the chimney, which I was not happy about, they came out and gave us new flashing and did not charge us for it. We are having them return this year to do more work on our home. I only graded them at a B for Punctuality because of Hurricane Sandy delaying the work.

A representative came to our house to measure and take basic info for a possible bathroom remodel. The rep was on time, personable and courteous. He took the measurements and briefly discussed with us what we had in mind. He did not take down a lot of details, so we were not too sure about the whole process. But follow up calls with the main office personnel were productive. They made some suggestions and tried to understand exactly what we wanted. We then scheduled an appointment to go to their office to review what the came up with. The office was a lot farther from home that we thought, but directions were good and we got there on time. The office was under renovation, so was a bit messy, but everyone was very friendly and we got right down to business. The showed us the plan they came up with, and discussed some options for floor and wall finishes, etc., and then talked about cost. They were very happy to discuss alternative designs and potential cost savings, and ended up completely redoing the plans, but did not charge anything extra for the rework. The price quote was more than we were hoping for, so have not moved forward with the project yet, but we were very impressed with the company and everyone we talked to. Will definitely consider using them for the actual project.

I was looking for a company to replace my roof. Got three appointments prior. One showed up on time and gave me an exorbitant quote. (Well I learned the ridiculousness of the offer later) The other two didn't even show or call at scheduled appointment time. Then I decided to join Angies list. Got the appointment from the top 3 ranked companies (REMODELING CONCEPTS LLC being one of them) All showed up on time, all were professional and honest as we all customers expect. REMODELING CONCEPTS LLC was 1K lower than the second lowest bid I got, more than half of the first exorbitant quote I got. REMODELING CONCEPTS LLC was local to me and comments were very good about them and I decided to go with them. There is one lady dealing with customers and she called me and sent me email, and always kept me in the loop. 7 days after I sent the deposit, my roof replacement was already scheduled. They did all the prep work and got all the permissions. During that time I had them changed the shingle type which was on the first contract. And then workers came in the morning. The project managers had always been calling me for any issues they had like removal the dish antennas I didn't want. And then in one day they completed the work and left. Just like that.. From the time I decided to go with them to the finishing of the job, it took only 7 days. All the major parts of the process have been so smooth. The only issue I had with them was the nails I had been seeing everywhere, I guess it took two weeks to completely get rid of them. And I mentioned this issue during a survey when I was asked. I immediately got a mail from them stating that they will/have addressed the issue with the contractors. This is my 2nd month with the new roof, and am so hopeful it will go for years with no issue. Will update you otherwise. I thank you for Angies list first for saving bick bucks for me then REMODELING CONCEPTS LLC for simply making a big project look small and hassle free.

I ordered this service through the Angie's List Big Deal program and I could not have been more satisfied. Yes, I did incur additional costs ($2,123) to the original value of the Big Deal ($5,499). This was due to the size of my roof as well as removing two skylights plus the permit fee. My town is rough with permits so when factoring that cost in, this was still an outstanding deal for the work even after incurring the additional charges. All circumstances causing the increase in cost were disclosed to me and understood by me up-front so the increased cost was never an issue and completely understood. Upon initial purchase of the service on Angie's List, Katelyn - Office and Marketing Assistant with Remodeling Concepts - called me to confirm the purchase and explain how the process works - i.e. when someone will be surveying the roof, items that will be left after the survey for my review, what to do with those items, etc. (shingle samples, contract, business card). She noted that any additional charges incurred during the survey will be on the contract for my review prior to my signing and she answered all of my questions in a timely manner. After agreeing to the charges, I signed the contract and emailed the signed copy to Katelyn as per the instructions she had provided me. Once the township issued the permit, Tom - the Project Coordinator with Remodeling Concepts - called me to inform me of such, as well as inform me of the cost of the permit. During this conversation, we scheduled the job with Tom giving detailed information for when the dumpster would be arriving (between 7am-7:30am on the day of the job), provided an estimate of how long the job would take (complete in a single day) and when the dumpster would be picked up (the following day). He also informed me that he would be in touch with the office to confirm the appointment. Once Tom confirmed the appointment with the office, Katelyn then followed-up with me to confirm everything. On the day of the job, the workers for the roof arrived before the dumpster and they began immediately. The dumpster arrived on-time and exactly when Tom said they would. The work was completed in a single day as Tom expected and Katelyn issued the invoice for my remaining balance the day the job was completed. From start-to-finish, I could not have asked for a smoother process for such a big project. I could not have been more satisfied with their instruction, communication and status updates during the process. Whether it was the additional costs I incurred during the survey or the permit cost, THERE WERE NO SURPRISE CHARGES - EVERYTHING was laid out up-front and agreed-to before moving forward with the next step in the process. I will be wanting gutter work done, but as a brand-new homeowner I'm only having work done on an as-needed basis. But I will most certainly retain Remodeling Concepts' services for that work as well as anything else that will come up. After my experience, I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND Remodeling Concepts! :-) Thank You!!!

Thank you for your feedback and for letting us create a design for your bathroom. We remember you liked the design of the shower with the arch. We are sorry that things didn't work out and we hope all works out well for you. We do try our best to respond back in a timely manner. It took a little longer for us in this situation to go through emails to figure out what design taste would work best for you. But we will try to improve on being speedier in the future. We are sorry things didn't work out and wish you the best.

We purchased a Big Deal for a bathroom remodel plan that included digital renderings of the new bathroom design, measurements, material recommendations, etc. A member of the Remodeling Concepts team came out to the house and took measurements of the space. After some back-and-forth over email (some measurements were not 100% accurate and required re-measuring), we went to the Remodeling Concepts office and discussed options and pricing. The design was great - exactly what we had been thinking about. However, the project cost was ultimately out of our price range. That's not to say the price was too high for the job -- we shopped around for other estimates and Remodeling Concepts' pricing was in line with the others that we received. We ended up not moving forward with the project, but if we had the budget for it, we'd definitely have worked with Remodeling Concepts.
Description of Work: Remodeling Concepts came out to the house, took measurements, and provided a design and plan for our bathroom remodeling project.

It went great! After 30 years, it was time for a new kitchen. I went to Angie's List, started my search and chose Remodeling Concepts. Main reason was not only did they show me the kitchen that I had in mind, they went beyond and showed me the kitchen that I thought would not be possible in my house. During the demolition process, RC team was careful to enclose the work area in plastic, which kept the dust to a minimum. Due to total redesign of kitchen, structural, electrical and plumbing permits were obtained. They added to the cost but provided satisfaction that the reconstruction was done safely and to code. Work took longer than estimated three weeks but I expected that. What concerned me was not that they rush get it done but take their time and do it right. I'm thrilled with my new kitchen. Remodeling Concepts did a great job.
Description of Work: Redesigned and totally rebuilt my kitchen, per specifications.

Dave came out on time took measurments of the closet and surveyed the pet door as well. He was at the house for maybe 10 minutes. Not a lot of talking but a lot of note taking and I said to myself either he really knows his stuff or doesn't want the job since it was not a big one. He told me that the estimate would come in one week. The esitmate came in one week. Katelyn sent that to me on time and very detailed. My wife and I decided that we would use Remodeling services. They sent Les out to do the jobs and he was terrific. He spent almost 3 days at the house getting everything done to the T. The closet turned out better than expected. Les in my opinion is a craftsman not a just a carpenter. My wife was very happy with the end result as well. Now to the pet door. This could have been a disaster but it was not. Les really took his time to assess the situation. Getting through the stucco was a bear but he did it with out making a chip. WOW!!! Inside the cuts were clean as can be and not a chip on the plaster. It takes patience and steady hand to do that. They could have charged me more the time but did not. Would I use them again. Without a doubt. Next job is the kitchen.
Description of Work: Built a closet and placed a pet door through an exterior wall which was stucco on the outside and plaster inside.
