James (the technician) was incredibly professional and courteous. He took the time to explain everything and showed how the app worked versus simply doing everything. I would recommend James and Select Security to anyone in need of security systems.

We have sold ar house and I request to terminate the service from Select. They informed me I was in a five year agreement. The first agreement was auto renewed. I was told I would pay for the full five years to close the agreement ($2500). They sent me the agreement that was not signed by me and agreed to reduce the cost to $1300. I have a very basic system and the month rate is $44.99. I have not been very happy with the service and planned on going to a different system provider. They have offered to move the service, but I am saddle with them for five more years. That not the right way to do business.

We were impressed with the system. The monthly cost was a driving point as was the ability to easily install the sensors and equipment. We had no difficulty with the installation. We did, however, receive 3 false alarms. They were able to help us and determined that we needed to reduce the sensitivity of the sensors. Since that time, we have had no problems. My one complaint is that I could not reach the office on the weekends. We ordered the basic package of $259.95 and added extra sensors since we have 5 entry doors/patio sliders and a 3 car garage. We, also, ordered the extra siren for $59.99,since we do not have close neighbors. We felt the total price was reasonable for the size of our home.

We have been with Select Security for 5 years and have received reliable equipment and service from the start. Phone contacts with Select Security on any concerns are directed to individuals who can address the concern and provide a solution/answer. Two individuals (Dave and Ken) have been particularly helpful. The home security system has been functioning well for 5 years since our home was built and the system was installed.

All went well, we were very satsfied. The bedroom control in addition to the kitchen control we have, makes life a lot easier and we feel safer with a panel in the bedroom (upstairs).

I was contacted by a Select Security salesperson about upgrading my security system to a more up to date system. The person who reviewed the information with me was very good but the system really sold itself. I was a little annoyed when I was pressured to have the system installed right away, but I was able to schedule for a more convenient time. The installation technicians were terrific. The person who did most of the work was professional, personable and exuded excitement about the system. It made me feel really good about my decision. The system is great. It is not dependent on land line communication, but cellular technology so downed/cut wires do not compromise my security. It is equipped with an extended battery back-up. Without charge, additional security items were installed. In my opinion I thought one particular thing was less than the old system and I was not comfortable with it. The technicians thought about it and came up with an alternative that works perfectly. I am very, very happy with the new system and the up to date technology it uses. I can access the system remotely, check on the status and make changes if I want i.e. arm/disarm it. There are many things it can do that the old system could not. The central station personnel are great. They are responsive, professional and inspire confidence. I gave the two "B" ratings because of some difficulty I had in getting some follow up from the salesperson. But his supervisor made sure all was taken care of and made sure I was satisfied. This system is a little more expensive than the old one, but it is very much worth it. I also opted to include severe weather warnings. I am satisfied and I recommend Select Security without reservation.

We talked about getting a security system for for sometime but never got around to doing it. We noticed that several of our neighbors recently installed systems from Security Select. So when the sales person appeared at the door I did let him in to listen to his speal. When he was finished I told him to come back in several days at which time we would let him know what we decided. To my surprise, there was know pressure to buy immediately. Found the company has been in business 48 years, in good standing with the Better Buisness Bureau and Chamber of Commerce and there were no registered complaints with the State Attorney Generals Office. When he returned we spec'd out the system. We were very pleased with the sales person and the installation; very professional people. We had little cash outlay, only for the extras purchased. We were actually surprised with the monthly fee for the system. Expected it to be considerably more, especially with the 2 way communications and panic alarm. We have had the system over a month now with no regreats what so ever.

Our home was wired for the security system while the home was being built in '08. System works as anticipated and we are very satisfied until today, October 2011. Our monthly cost is $40.
