Kelly was very efficient and quick. In less than 10 minutes he had the cable reset and the door was working. Total job was around 1/2 hour. He was very professional.

The door not only opens and closes properly, but it hum-m-ms-no more freight train. Also, the date that the service was complete is approximate.

Lancaster Door did an excellant job. They installed everything in 3 appointments, since I requested the installs based on when they received the materials. First the Storm Door was installed and they went the extra mile and capped around the door for me. They then came and installed the Door onto the Basement at the bottom of the bilco doors. They took thier time and did an awesome job. Again they went the extra mile and carted away and old door left at house when I moved in. Third time was the Windows and Garage Doors and Openers. They again exceed expectations and Braced some storage above the doors since they noticed that it was a issue and hazard. I was really impressed with the communication and services provided. This company is AAAA++++++ Would highly recommond.

Wow!! What great service. I called this morning and they had Kevin here this afternoon. He was fast, professional and even oiled our other door to make sure that it would be working well. I would recommend them to anyone looking for door repair.

I damaged the garage door so that it could not open and it was not down completely. I got 3 bids, one from a major advertiser and they were much higher that LDS and the other bid. The third bid may have been a little lower than LDS, but was from a small private contractor and I was concerned that he might not be around if I needed service in the future. Our only complaint with LDS was the new door took a couple of weeks to deliver while our old door was not not shut completely. I believe the delivery time was the manufactures schedule and not an issure with LDS. The new door was installed well by LDS amd looks great and works well.

I moved into my house a little over a year ago, and the garage door definitely was showing wear. The bottom seal was almost completely worn off, and there was light coming in around the sides of the door. I was referred to Lancaster Door Service by my neighbor, who highly recommended them, and I agree this company is great! From the initial phone call to the work that was performed, this was an excellent experience. The service man, Kelly, was very professional, friendly, and thorough. He didn't just say "your cables need to be replaced", he actually showed me where they were fraying. All of the costs were clearly explained, and I felt the costs were reasonable. Will definitely use them in the future! I am one happy customer!

I had been having problems with our garage door for some time. Finally, it quit altogether. It stuck in the middle; neither up nor down. Disengaging the drive didn't help, and trying to pull it down manually only succeeded in getting the door hung at a slant. I was very upset because I knew we couldn't afford a new door. My wife suggested calling someone to see if they could fix the door rather than just replace it. I checked online, and there were repair shops galore, but I wanted a reputable company with good reviews, so I joined Angie's List specifically for that reason. I called Lancaster Door Service, and the phone was answered promptly by a REAL PERSON, who took down my information and said she could send someone to my house the next day between 9 and 11 a.m. Not only was the repairman ( Kelly ) there on time, he was 20 minutes early, and started to work as I left to drive my son to school. When I got back, he had quickly diagnosed the problem and proposed a number of solutions. Long story short: he reset the cables and spring tension, replaced three hinges, added a metal support to a section of the door which had shown cracking and binding, adjusted the sensitivity and lubed the door and parts. Total cost? $194.96! Here I was petrified that I was going to be socked with a major bill, and it came to less than $200! The door is like new again. It runs smoothly and quietly. Kelly is a superb repairman, and Lancaster Door is lucky to have him! I was equally lucky to have met him and have him get my garage door up and running again in nothing flat! I am an extremely satisfied customer, not only of Angie's List, but also of Lancaster Door Service and of Kelly in particular. He's a hard-working guy, very personable and, most importantly, he gets the job done! Kudos to all involved!

Excellent job and did everything we needed done. Prompt, professional and downright pleasant folks to work with right from the very start with our call to Carol and then to Bill who made the repair. We will be needing new exterior doors soon and hope to use this company again. It was truly refreshing to work with this outstanding business!

It was a good experience and they came very promptly. It was an emergency because I could not open the door. They came quickly and fixed it. They did a good job and the price was reasonable. The quality was outstanding and there was no problem. They were very satisfactory.

The woman I spoke with on the phone was very courteous and explained my options for getting a sensor on the garage door. We have young children and our previous system had none and were a safety concern. Plus our old system was LOUD. It used to wake the children which was inconvenient. She was knowledgable and helpful. We chose the Hormann system on their recommendation that it lasts 20 - 25 years as opposed to the 10-15 that a Liftmaster would last for only about $100 more. Bill arrived about half an hour after the 9 o'clock starting time, but I often expect this as I figured he was coming from an earlier job. He was professional and explained everything to me afterwards, giving me a chance to try out my new quiet door. We had a small misunderstanding - he sold me two remotes and I only realized after payment that we only needed one. He was pleasant about this delay and rewrote the bill. He said they would send me a refund check. That's fine with me. I would recommend them to others. We were very pleased to find this wonderful local company.

They were excellent, and I would highly recommend them! Their service charge was not much, but I'm not sure. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Arrived on time and scoped out the job. Asked if we had any questions, concerns. Asked how cable got broken, how old springs were and how often door is used. Also asked about other garage door and its springs, which were the original ones (15 yrs). Recommended they be replaced which would save us a future service call fee since they were probably at the end of their life cycle. He stayed at it and actually rerouted the cables so they were not rubbing against the track. Oiled the bearings on both doors as well. Gave us instructions on where and how often to oil bearings. Very professional, friendly and courteous. The garage doors are the quietest they have ever been since we built the house. Definitely would use them again and recommend to others.

The phone was answered promptly and the service provider arrived exactly on time. The job came in under budget as the service person realized that the springs quoted were different from and more expensive than those actually required.

Serviceman Kevin was polite and punctual. We may move this year and I told him I was looking to repair rather than replace. He knew what was wrong within a minute and showed me the old shredded gears. Took him an hour or two and its like we have a brand new garage door opener. Will definitely use this company in the future.

They do not try to sell you more services or products than you need to get the job done properly and they recommend several options and prices for the job. I have used them several other times for repairs in addition to the new door installation.

I called in the morning, unsure of how long it would take to get someone to help us. We had someone at the house within a few hours. The repairman, Bill, was friendly and did a great job. We were sure we would need a new door but he was able to fix it in about an hour. The garage door is working better than it has in a long time. The service man from Lancaster Door arrived on time and thoroughly described what needed to be done and the approximatecost. His name was Kelly and he was a true gentlemen. He performed the service flawlessly, installing 2 new springs and newcable on the manual door as well as completely sevicing the automatic opener door. Kelly even installed 2 new lights and lensecovers on the automatic opener without being asked. I was extremely satisfied with the service on a job well done. I woulddefinitely have Lancaster Door Service back again.

It was a positive transaction. I thought the price was a little high but, it had been 15 years since we made a similar purchase. Also, the new openers are so much better as far as noise, functions and lifetime warranty. Customer service was excellent which I think is a very important part of the experience.

They were good. We thought we were going to need a new door but they were able to repair it. They came when they said they would. They didn’t try to sell us something that we didn’t need and it is working fine. The price was good. We would use them again in the future.
