We have had a consistent plumbing issue. This is the first time using your service. Kevin not only analyzed the issue, gave us great information. Tried to fix our problem and when he wasn’t able to fix the problem tonight, got us an expedited appointment the next day and set us up with cleaning that will dive in to fixing the original problem to avoid further more issues in the future. The service call with Benjamin Franklin was much cheaper than another company that contacted me through HomeAdvisor/ANGI… I chose them because of the well known name and lower initial service call charge compared to other companies in the area. Our repair was about $600. It was done in a couple hours. The technician was very professional and polite.

Paul Francis and Brennan Machemer were the key persons who planned and executed our sewer pipe replacement project at our home on July 19 and 20, 2021. They came to our house two times and answered all our questions and concerns before an investment agreement was signed. There were numerous emails, phone calls that were promptly responded to whenever we needed answers or feedback including correspondences over weekends. The project work was thorough and everything that was specified in the estimate was done as promised. Creative Excavating was amazing. They had several people that worked two long hot days and even planted grass seed after all the laying of the sew pipe to the street was done. Inside the house, Brennan and his crew made sure no items were damaged and cleaned up everything when they were done. All the work was high quality and we have had no issues with all of toilets, drains, all the items that were affected by the sewer pipe replacements inside. Finally, all the contractors that gave us proposals for this project, Benjamin Franklin was the most equitable bid. Paul and Brennan made sure we were satisfied with their recommendations and said to contact them any time with any questions. We highly recommend Benjamin Franklin for any plumbing work for any future projects or service calls.

Very well. Todd and his associate quickly figured out what the problem was, which was that during the winter water had frozen and split the pipe. They replaced the spigot and pipe, and everything is working fine again. I have always found Benjamin Franklin's service to be excellent.

Paul examined the pipes and the pump. He found that the drain was not clogged. The problem was the pump was not working at all. It should push the water up to another pipe in the basement ceiling. In my opinion, he analyzed the situation very well.

He suspected that it could be the Wax ring that needs to be replaced. He unhooked the toilet and indeed the wax ring was kind of messed up. He replaced it and So far everything seems to be working fine at this point 2 hours later. Overall Billy was very professional, competent and courteous. He wore a mask, Put on his Shoe protector as usual and keep his work area clean as expected. Final charge was a little bit more than I expected, But not too unreasonable. I suspect that it’s probably cheaper than other companies. David L

Jon and Billy were professional and hard working. Jon had to come back another day to make a minor adjustment. I am not a plumber, but I know this was NOT an easy job. I have used BF in the past, Charlie is another excellent technician. I would recommend these guys for any plumbing needs. When Jon was here to give me an estimate, he noted that the exhaust hood on my hot water heater was not in correct placement and he quickly adjusted it.

Dave was excellent, professional, a super nice guy, ambitious, and just over all friendly. He analyzed and determined the problem. Gave his recommendations. I was so happy with him I'm having him come back to install my new toilet. I didn't have to buy a toilet from Benjamin plumbing. I was able to get one on sale at lowes and they still are installing it and will take away my old tank.

Roughly 10 hours worked time. Couldn't be happier with the results. Dave is now my go to for plumbing needs.

When one morning during a pandemic, you turn on your water faucet and you immediately notice that the flow is much lower than it should be, and you don't already have a plumber, what do you do? Of course, these days, you go online and do a search. My search took me to Angie's List, which produced a listing of several local Services recommended for the repairs I was expecting. After a quick self diagnostic of the problem, realizing it was beyond the scope of my knowledge or abilities, I submitted a quote request to Ben Franklin Plumbing, figuring that I would do the same with a few of the other selections. I walked away from the computer for a few moments to check on something, and within seconds my phone rang - it was Ben Franklin Plumbing! Somewhat taken aback by the almost instantaneous response that I received, I proceeded to discuss with the gentleman on the other end of the line the details of my problem. He dispatched someone right away to diagnose my problem, and give me a free quote. Within two hours, their technician arrived, and he immediately got down to business to determine what the issue was. By process of elimination, he determined that it was going to be the well pump since everything else checked out ( this was what my suspicion was also, since the existing pump had been in service since 1994). He explained what that would entail and provided me the quote for repair services. And, of course since having running water in the house is a necessity, especially when you can't go anywhere else for a few days while you work on getting other quotes, I decided to just go ahead and have them fix it since they could have it done the same day. Now, my well is at 300 ft, so the technician had to get someone else to come and assist him and bring the pump puller in order to do the job, so while he waited he took care of as much of the process as he could. Once the other technician arrived, they immediately got down to removing the old pump and replacing it with a new one. A short while later, I was up and running again, and water flow was as good if not better then before. Now I will say this - this was an expensive job, and very possibly I could have had it done cheaper, and maybe would have been taken care of same day or the following day as well. But, sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and hope for the best. Now as for the repairs, I was given two quotes, for two different size pumps, and each of them also had an additional $1,050 if the wiring needed to be replaced due to discovered damage. Fortunately, I didn't have to go that route because I was told that the wiring was fine, but of course I could opt to have new wiring installed - of course I declined, since I was already staring at a $3,700 bill. So, overall I was very pleased with the promptness of Ben Franklin's response, as well as the professionalism evident from both the person I talk to on the phone, as well as the technicians that came to my home and took care of my issue. the only thing I could hope for is that the services and materials provided were price fairly as well.
