KINGKINER TREE SERVICE

A microburst came through our neighborhood and uprooted a tree from our neighbors yard which subsequently landed on our new fence and fell across our driveway. Fortunately both cars weren't hit but they were trapped. We called Kingkiner and they came out within 2 hours. They cut up tree and removed the debris from our property. They worked quickly and professionally and didn't even demand on the spot payment. We received a bill in the mail about a week later. We hired them again the following year to take down a few volunteers and again, we were very please with their work. I highly recommend them.

After trying to get estimates for this job and going back and forth with times that we were available, we saw that Kingkiner was doing some work up the street and asked for an estimate. They quickly gave an estimate and were here the next day - cleared out everything and were in and out in one hour.

They cut down tree on November 8, 2013. The tree had sentimental value. It was a sad day. So sad that I and quot;lost my witsand quot; and paid Kingkiner in full that first day of work through the job wasn't finished. BIG MISTAKE. The carcass of the grand old tree is still in my backyard 5 months later I gave Kingkiner an ultimatum in January. They called back giving me assurances but... They have my money but they haven't come. Was already a sad experience.\ It's now an all together discouraging experience.

On February 5, 2014, a tree fell and hit my roof. It was a snow and ice storm. I called Kingkiner Tree Service to ask if they could come to remove the tree and was told they would come as soon as possible. I thought it would take some time since there were many trees that had fallen due to the storm. I was amazed when the workers arrived about an hour after my phone call. They cut down the tree and removed all the debris within a few hours. They left the area cleaner than it was before they started! After talking to neighbors I was told I paid a very good price.

The cedar tree in my backyard was broken during the ice storm of 2/7-2/8 and fell through my fence. I couldn't reach my usual tree service company (voice mailbox was full). I called Kingkiner and Elmer came out the next day and gave me an estimate to remove the damaged tree parts and the remaining part of the trunk. The estimate did nor include tree stump removal. On Saturday, 2 trucks and 4 workers arrived and it took less than an hour to complete the job.

He did the work over the course of 2 days. Everything was clean when he left. We didn't have to do any additional cleanup. He did the work without a deposit and the end price was half of any other estimate we received. He was able to save one of my trees where other companies just wanted to cut it down. I believe this is the third time I have hired him. He is very reasonable.

They clean up. They dispose of the tree right away. They take away their stuff. The date between the time that you actually ask them to do the work and the time that they get to do it is like a very long period of time. They were good.

This was a moderate emergency situation, as the tree had fallen across a driveway and completely blocked access to nine garages adjacent to my property. Another contractor, who gave an estimate a little lower than Kingkiner's, had come to assess the situation but all his crews were tied up for the next three days. Kingkiner was recommended by the real estate company that owns the garages. I was very pleased that Kingkiner was able to tackle the job the next day after I contacted them. The crew worked quickly and efficiently. Only one problem arose: in cleaning up, some of the sawdust was intentionally blown onto a neighboring property. I objected to this and told the crew head they should sweep/rake it up and take the sawdust with them. This was done promptly and in fact they cleaned up leaves and other debris that was not related to the work they did. Overall, I was highly satisfied.

Despite the difficulties described above, the main person I dealt with was very responsive and got things corrected quickly. His office staff was also helpful. Since the work was not done at my house, the church required insurance forms and they were sent over as requested. Their price made up for a lot of their faults. I am willing to make a lot of calls as long as the work was done competently, which it was. I am sure the same work with a fancier company would have cost twice as much. I do not need fancy, just competent. I would use them again at my home or another location, but I would try to arrange to be present while the work was actually being done.

When I first called for the quote, Elmer came out right on time, even called to let me know he was on his way. Very professional. I was very happy with the price that I was given. I received a call to let me know when they will be out and they arrived right on time. They quickly went right to work and had everything down in no time at all. It looks fantastic!!!!! I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone looking for Tree/Landscaping service. I very very happy with the results.

We had used this company in the past and the experience was positive so we called them to give us an estimate to do this removal. Our call was returned in a timely manner - and we were advised Elmer would be by to estimate the job. Elmer gave us what we thought was a fair estimate to do the work. He set a date for removal, however, was unable to keep the date due to bad weather and back up in work orders due to a recent storm. Elmer called to apoligize for being unable to keep the scheduled date and advised he would keep us informed about a reschedule. When the job was rescheduled, the crew arrive on time (actually a few minutes ahead of schedule). The work was done efficiently and neatly. The crew was respectful of our property and took extra care to keep the debris from our neigwashbor's yard which was important to us. All the large limbs that remained with the stump were piled up neatly. They came the next day to remove the stump. They removed all the grindings from the property, raked the area and cleaned the driveway. Overall they did a great job. We would use this company again.

I had used Kingkiner to remove a large dead Locust tree a couple years ago (see July 12 2010 review) and had a great experience, so when I needed tree work I called them again. I had a very positive experience from start to finish, as I had previously. Elmer came out and provided an estimate for 1 tree, than after discussing with my neighbor (several trees were on the property line) Elmer came out and gave a second estimate for several more trees. He was very pleasant, professional and knowledgable. The price was great too, well below what other competitors had quoted. We were particularly worried about the large dead elm, since branches had already started to snap off in strong winds, and I had relayed these concerns to Elmer. They had a crew out in two days from when I called to give the go-ahead (the original time frame was sometime within 10 days). I was very happy to get a crew out that quickly. I was already at work when the crew arrived, but my wife was home as they got to work. According to her, they were very professional. When I arrive home, the trees were down and they did a great job cleaning up. From start to finish a very positive experience. This is the second time I have hired them, and I would do so again and would recommend them to friends and family.

This company was recommended to me by someone who my daughter works with, so we called them based on that recommendation. The guy who came out to give me the estimate of the removal of the tree and stump was very nice and gave me a very reasonable price to remove the tree. I had a coupon so there was no charge for the stump removal and he also said he would remove 3 dead bushes at no extra charge. I thought that was very nice. A few days later they came out to remove the tree. When the guy started to cut the branch off the tree he miscalculated and the huge tree branch fell into the house on my BRAND NEW GUTTERS causing damage to them. I was inside the house and heard this huge crash and ran outside to find out what happened. i started yelling at them when I saw the gutter had bee n damaged and a workman (from a different company) who was at the house during that time also came running to see what happened. The guy from Kingkeiner started arguing with the workman who was at my house because he was telling the guy from Kingkeiner to be careful. The rest of the tree was cute down and a few days later the stump was removed. it has been one month since the tree and stump were removed. They have been telling us they are going to send someone out to fix the damaged gutters and we have yet to see anybody come out. We have made 4 or 5 phone calls and still no one has been out to fix it. We are still waiting although they gave me a cheaper price I would not recommend them because I feel they are stringing us along about fixing our gutters.

It was OK overall, I would probably use them again with giving clearer directions- they removed 2 bushes to get their machinery in that we hadn't discussed and left a lot of tree removal debris on the roof of my house. I also had trouble scheduling the date. I was originally told they would call me to schedule within a few days, but that didn't happen so I called them after 2 weeks or so. After that things were fine and they did schedule the removal and stuck to it. They did their work quickly and well, besides leaving a good amount of tree debris on the roof. I probably would use them again because the price was great, but I would specify not leaving debris on the roof and notifying me of anything they needed to removed to get their trucks in place.

They removed a giant beech tree in our front yard that was rotten. They even included the stump removal for free. I got estimates from 4 different companies and their price was better by over 1000 dollars. It did take a few weeks to get them here and have the tree removed, but for the price I would absolutely use them again!

Kingkiner tree service took down a tree in my neighbor's yard and in so doing damaged my smaller tree slightly and dragged branches across my yard and through my arbor, knocking over a few perenials, the wind chime and solar lights and almost tipping the arbor. They also knocked down the FIOS cable. After my wife noticed the problems, they stopped dropping stuff into the yard but if it was so easy do that why did they use my yard at all? 1. The damage to the tree, lights, chime, and plantings were minor but annoying. I've already spent a half hour pushing things back towards where they belong and after it stops raining it will probably only take me an hour or so to re-stake the perennials. They did come back into the yard and pick up the debris when they saw me policing it. 2. We did not lose FIOS service and they put the cable back up but it's pretty clear they didn't do it completely right as there's slack in the cable that wasn't there before. I put in a service call to Verizon (only took 15 minutes to get a human on the line; better than usual) and they will eventually come out to make sure there's no problem with the cable. P.S. My wife convinced me to give them an overall D. I was planning to do F.

Estimator was prompt and punctual. I sent in the paperwork to allow them to start and was told I would get a phone call the following week a day or so before the crew would come. There was no call that week. I phoned the office the following Monday (2 July) to give them a polite and quot;nudgeand quot; and a request to be kept informed. They said they had problems with emergencies caused by recent weather, which was perfectly believable. I expressed my understanding and asked to be kept in the loop. A few hours later I got a call that the crew would be out the next morning. While I appreciate the fast response on the second try, it had an and quot;OOPS!and quot; feeling to it, hence the and quot;Band quot; grade for responsiveness. They showed great skill at maneuvering large machines in a tight space and it was obvious the crews are well-trained in working safely. Rather than move some trash bags filled with garden debris, they smashed and burst them by dropping tree parts on them. That's partly my fault, but they could have handled it better, either by asking me to move them or by moving them themselves. They left the site in decent condition and are came back Thursday (after the Wednesday holiday) to finish the cleanup. Their estimate was, by far, the lowest of any of the contractors I contacted. For the price difference, I'll live with the response glitches and delayed cleanup. I got good value for the money.

The crew cut down the trees and had the majority of the limbs chipped and removed from the yard in a very short time. This project was started around the Easter holiday and I did have to wait 3 days for the crew to come back and remove the 6 larger trunk pieces from my yard and grind the stumps. My only complaint would be the lack of communication between the tree service and myself regarding when the stumps would be ground and trunks removed from my front lawn.

I would highly recommend Kingkiner to anyone needing tree service. I had used them previously and was very happy with their work. Based on that good experience I engaged with them again. There was a scheduling error with this job, and to my great surprise, Elmer brought his crew out on a Saturday morning at 8am to correct the scheduling issue. That's what i call service! They removed a troublesome stump in a very difficult location (back yard of small Philly rowhouse with only foot access through a small alley), so no large tools can be used. All was done by hand. The customer service is what really made an impression on me. They did great job and I'd use them again in a heartbeat.

They were supposed to do some work and had mixed up the time scheduled but they eventually called to apologize. The first time they came though they did a very good job at removing three trees. I would definitely use them again.

They did a great job. The price was excellent. They were very willing to do a job that other people said was too difficult to do.

we heard about Kingkiners through Angies list and also saw them frequently in our neighborhood we called and they came right out with an estimate they first came on a friday and took down the trees and chipped all of the branches they came back the following Monday and removed the large pieces of wood and ground the stumps the yard and surrounding areas were cleaned the workers were polite and courteous

Neighbor hired this company to remove tree limbs. The company backed its truck into OUR background, removed the back fence that we share with a differentneighbor, demolished our landscaping in front of that fence, and they were rude and unprofessional in the porocess. We were not compensated or made whole. I would never recommend this service to anyone.

after a promising start in arriving and quoting the job it all started to go wrong. First of all they didnt realise they had to cut part of a perfectly good tree down to get down the drive - dont they measure this to begin with?. Then after specifically saying I didnt want the tree on the lawn they put the whole tree on the lawn. Elmo then said he wanted to put a skid steer on the lawn to move the trunk...Are you kidding me!!!! I said no. I came home to find the tree still there and they had ground the wrong stump. One week later when they came to pick it up they realised they couldnt get the truck down the drive.....again don't they measure... After 10 weeks of me calling and haranging them EVENTUALLY they came with a truck. Of course by now my lawn is ruined from a 5 ton tree sitting on it for three months. After much complaining they put a bit of dirt down with some seed and a small discount. Above all I would say that this company cannot be depended on and doesnt do what it says it will do. AVOID

Easy to get an estimate. Arrived day they scheduled. Did their work, cleaned up and left. Manager came at start and end of job and walked around with me to be sure they got everything. Very easy to work with. I've consulted some other "arborists" and I wouldn't put them in that category. But, in terms of removal, their quote was almost 1/2 and they are very easy to work with.
