I needed old gas furnace serviced for one last winter before i got a new one and used a big deal from angies list, the Mechanic arrived on time and got to work, I cannot say enough about these guys, he was honest, and answered any questions I had, offered advice and fully serviced my furnace even to the point of doing an assessment on how efficient it was! In the past other guys just cleaned the burners and that was it, this guy did everything!!..

SILA replaced an entire frunace and AC compressor for me this year. Adam who does the sales & quote was very professional and good. Took time to explain everything and great follow-up. Initially his bid was a little higher than the competition, but I felt comfortable with the company, and gave him the opportunity to get his quote in line with the others. So he was willing to negotiate and match prices. The work team that did the install was excellent. They have a foreman who's in charge and there to communicate with the customer, answer any questions, and make sure the other guys do things the proper way. The whole team was great, but it gives you good peace of mind to know there's an experienced, smart guy in charge. They promised they'd have me up and running in before the weekend, in 1-2 days tops, and they did! It was a big job, but they worked hard to get it done in time as promised, and we had cool AC for our party that weekend. Adam Kroungold was also very good with follow-up and helping me to secure the rebates he had promised. Also to note, the system we have monitors itself, and sent us an automatioc warning about a valve being stuck open. SILA came right out to investigate the next day. No cost and no issues. But its good to know the company is standing behind what they installed with good service. I would definitely use SILA for any future HVAC needs. Solid, trustworthy company.

Technician performed annual maintenenace on gas furnace. The technician (Shawn) arrived timely - the appointment had been set up for him to arrive between 4 and 6 PM, Shawn was very polite and professional. He asked me a number of questions about the heating and A/C in our home He spent a good amount of time checking the furnace. I left him alone for the most part. When he was finished he described in detail the parts and systems he had checked and/or cleaned. He gave me a copy of a detailed written report of the actions he had taken.

As with all service companies you don't know in the beginning, you're taking a chance on the work they do. To lower the risk of shoddy workmanship I am so glad there is a compay like ANGIE'S LIST out there who is looking out for the consumer. I was on the lookout for a gas furnace mechanic because I haven't had my system serviced since I had the whole central air conditioning unit installed years ago. When i seen Sila heating and air conditioning advertising on Angie's List I took notice. I read their reviews and liked what I saw so I decided to take a chance. With Angie's List giving it a thumbs up I felt rather good in my choice. From the minute I called them till the time they left my house, they were very professional and I just had an overall confidence in the work they were doing. That's about all I can tell you about them right now, but the next job I have done around here, I can guarantee you that I'll be looking on Angie's List for the company I pick.

Don't have enough good words to describe the experience. Was on time to the minute. Was very patient and answered all my questions about the service and in general about how the furnace works. Explained very well what was included in a service plan with Sila (at my request), absolutely fantastic, would recommend to everyone

Completed (nearly) all work according to our initial discussions, were professional in their manner, and cleaned up after themselves. The drain for the ductless unit was originally installed incorrectly, but a supervisor came out and oversaw the reinstallation of that component. The salesman and installation supervisor were friendly, courteous, and knowledgable.

Got the $59 for an Furnace Tune Up or End of Season AC Tune Up from Sila. Nam came out to my house. He was very professional. Looked through the heat pump in the basement and the condensor outside the building. He was very professional. He did find that my capacitor was slightly weak and offered me a fix if I go with the 5 year maintenance plan ($1665). The price was a little too steep for me at the moment so I decided no to do the work and have it replaced when I have more money. Overall, they were professional to deal with. The price was a little more expensive than I thought.

I was not very impressed with the service that Sila provided. I hired them because they had a coupon on Angie's List that offered a $159 maintenance service for $59. I was able to schedule a Saturday appointment, which was very nice. The person was on time, but his attitude left a bit to be desired. I don't doubt that he knew his stuff when it came to furnace repair, but his demeanor was not as professional as I would have liked. He informed us that there was a serious crack in the furnace, and that most likely it would need to be replaced. He then gave us a rough estimate of what this would cost. He also pointed out other parts of the HVAC system that looked like they needed to be repaired/replaced as well. He then had somebody from the main office call us right away to try and set up an appointment for an estimate on replacing our system. I just felt like they were pushing a total replacement of the system, instead of actually talking to us about what was wrong, and what our options were. We had another company come out for a second opinion, and they agreed that the furnace needed attention, however their price estimates were much lower than what Sila quoted. I guess my problem was that it seemed like Sila was trying to milk us for as much money as possible. I read in other reviews that Sila tends to be a bit pricey. I know that they advertise a lot in the area, so perhaps they pass those marketing bills along to the customers. Overall this wasn't a bad experience, but I did not have a positive feeling when the man left our home. The man who came for the second quote was much more pleasant to deal with, and he laid out our options in a much more professional manner. I would not use this company again.

Jeff arrived on time and was very courteous he took the time to explain everything he found while cleaning our furnace. Unfortunately, we will be replacing it, it is 35 years old so this was some what expected. We are currently gathering estimates for that work and have already had Sila out to give us an estimate.

When I called to discuss the broken air conditioning unit (a big, central air unit) -- they were responsive immediately. Within a day, a sales rep was at my house, assessing the situation. We discussed options and within 24 hours, they returned to install a new unit. They arrived on time and did the work neatly and with care.

it was a completely superior job from start to finish. they even added some items midjob per my request and still installed it the same day.

Sila is a great company. They are always prompt and do a nice job. They came out (as part of a deal) on time and did a nice job on my furnace. No complaints

The furnace cleaning went well. They did everything I expected. While they were out we got a quote to repair our air conditioning unit, but their pricing was a bit high.

It went very well! He was very curteous and professional and kept everything very clean.

The service was done on our A/C. We needed a check-up on the air conditioner.

The sales rep who came to my house could not have been nicer and they are very professional in terms of the packet of information that they provide. In the end, though, they could not match the price that I got from another company. I've noticed that they have a lot of advertising (billboards, mailers, etc), so maybe it's their marketing costs that makes them more expensive. No complaints other than cost.

I have been meaning to write a review for Sila since our first experience with them this summer, when we had them fix a very poor installation (not done by them) of a Mitsubishi Mr. Slim ductless split heating/ac system in our house. Steve, Brian and Nam were the main guys working on the house (along with Mr. Hung [sp?] the installer) and they were fantastic: very professional, patient, neat, and -- most importantly -- they did the job really well. We have had no problems at all with our system since Sila started working on it, and are very grateful that we used them. In fact, there were some other contractors in the house at the time when the Sila people showed up, and they (the other contractors) specifically said, "Those guys are really good." Because of our positive first experience, I decided to take them up on their offer of a service plan for our boiler, and this morning Jeff Soda came out to do a checkup to see if our system qualified for the plan. Again, I couldn't have been happier -- Jeff was extremely thorough, thoughtful, and took the time to walk me through my options and answer all of my questions. He was fantastic, and -- in addition to tuning up the system -- taught me a bunch about how the heating system in our house works. I feel totally confident leaving our heating and AC systems in Sila's hands and highly recommend them. And also: they put on booties when they come into your house so they won't track dust on your floors. Booties! How could you not love this company?

Jeff was the technician. He was on time, courteous and very profectional. He checked the furnace and explained all of our options. I would use them again.

Purchased an Angie's List special for an Early Bird Furnace Tune-Up. The service-person, Jeff Soda, arrived right on time. He was very professional. He answered my questions and gave me some suggestions regarding the installation of a return. Overall I was very satisfied. I will definitely call them next season for another tune-up. I'll also be calling them when we are ready to have the return installed. Once the return is installed, it's only a matter of time before we move to central air. I'll definitely give Sila a chance for that job as well.

Over all very pleased with the service.
