My ac unit was not working. The last service company scared me that I have to replace the whole unit. The new unit would have cost me lot of money. That time I was desperate to get my heating unit up and running. So the technician removed some parts from ac unit and got my heat up and running. He told me that the ac coils are are bad and need to be taken out any way . I had to believe him. Then I started looking for good hvac servicing company. I came across SILA from Angie's List. I called them and set up an appointment. The technician showed up on exact time. He was good at his work, He checked my unit and did some adjustment to the unit. In the mean time his supervisor showed up. He tried to sell me some part which I refused to buy. The technician tried to sell me annual contract. I am thinking about it. I did not buy yet, but I am thinking to buy annual maint. contract. To make long story short, I got good service. I got what I paid for. I will use their service again and give good reference.

Frank was thorough, polite, neat, and efficient. He explained every step of the way, gave me information on maintenance I can do myself, and was very professional. Communication was excellent. I learned that it wasn't just Frank who was so wonderful to deal with, but this is how the company operates from the top down. I was able to arrange a timely appointment, Frank showed up early, and the women in the office were a delight to speak with--friendly, informed, efficient. What a treat!

They're very honest and the prices they charge is fair. They explain everything that they're doing on their customers.

I was given a time window of 11am-1pm - Shawn showed up at 11am sharp. He insisted on wearing protectors on his footwear to protect my floors, was quiet knowing I had a small sleeping child in the house and was generally extremely courteous and professional. He proceeded to inspect, clean and tune-up both the inside and outside sections of my AC system, all the time taking great care to keep things clean. He even labeled particular components for my ease of use later. He answered all my questions. Some issues were identified with one of my units and Shawn offered various repair options at various prices as well as maintenance options (there was some mold in one of the units). I made my choices and he had all the equipment available on his truck and thus did the repairs the same day. It was all quick and professional. Since the weather has been cool, I haven't yet tested out the repairs in a "real-life" situation but overall everything seems to work well.

Purchased a Big deal for Sila Heating & Air Conditioning. I always use them, they are great. I had them come and do a tune up on the AC unit.

Salesperson was very nice and on time. He answered my questions. But written estimate did not include specifics about equipment. The estimate was also over $1000 higher then 2 other companies. Chose another company.

They were really expensive. He told me I needed a new filter. I would use them again. They responded right away. The guy was knowledgeable and polite.

I used an Angie's List Big Deal special offer for this service. The work went fine; the guy who came was perfectly nice and knew what he was doing. We were told by a service person from another company last year that there was a problem with the heating system and that out system was old. He turned out to be wrong; all we had to do was turn a knob and the heat works fine. The guy this year allayed our fears from the previous year; which is nice. He put a little sticker on our heater, which is fine. I bought another Angie's List Big Deal to have them come to look at our central air system. They were perfectly reasonable. The guy came, he cleaned up and was not allergic to our cats. The price was great because it was a Big Deal.

Sila Heating & Air Conditioning were knowledgeable, we are going to use them to modify our air conditioning duct system. Overall they seem to be a good company and the people are good.

Unfortunately initially claimed I was out of fuel, but after a high-cost in-season delivery of oil, discovered more than a half tank still existed. Unexpected, expensive OOPS on Sila's part. Second visit got things working again. Unfortunately overlooked ignition problem a competitor eventually fixed after furnace stopped again 3 weeks later. Up-selling is part of this industry, but at least it wasn't a pushy sales pitch.

Overall, I was pleased with the work the Sila technician did. The technician came on a Saturday, was professional and friendly. The check-up started with touring the components of our HVAC system that are indoors--the thermostat and heating unit. After inspecting those items to make sure they were fully functional, the technician inspected the outdoor A/C unit. the work was completed in about 30-45 minutes. The A/C unit is located in an area that is under several pine trees. The technician cleaned out all of the needles and dirt that had accumulated along parts of the unit. Tested the temperature of the air coming into and out of the unit and checked our freon levels. After the work was complete, the tech gave me a summary of his findings and recommendations. Due to some parts that were nearing the end of their life, we signed up for a 1-year maintenance package that covers labor and component replacement costs. Otherwise, at several hundred dollars, the package is quite expensive for just regular maintenance for anything but units that are troublesome or nearing the end of their useful life.

They were great! The guy was terrific, conscientious, did the job in less time than he and I both thought. He didn't have a part and they sent out a special delivery to my house with the needed part and that was very nice.

It didn't go too bad. I was not too happy with the installation of the kill switch as it looks like it could fall off the back of my house at any moment. For as much as I paid for that switch, I would like it to be better attached to the house. Other than that, it was an overall good experience and they have been very on time with coming out to maintain my equipment.

They are a good company, did a good job. I would use them again, I like the company. They know the job and gave good service. I had issues a few months after and they showed me they were different from what they had fixed.

From the first contact with Sila everything was very smooth, professional and polished. They emailed a picture and brief bio on the gentleman who would be coming out to the house to provide the estimate. On the day of the appointment, John was exactly on time and very thorough as he went through his evaluation of the AC system. He explained everything that he was looking at, asked me what I was looking for in a new system then sat and prepared the estimate. He was at the house with me for about 90 minutes, answered all of my questions about the estimate and never tried to sell me anything more than I needed or wanted. I signed a contract within a week and had the system installed last Friday. John was also amazingly responsive, between signing the contact and the installation, i contacted him on several occasions and each time John responded promptly and took care of my questions and concerns. The two gentlemen who installed everything, Jim and Steve, were excellent and also extreamly professional. The morning of installation John arrived to introduce the crew to me and help kick things off. The entire time everyone took great care to keep my home as clean as possible. When the job was finished, the basement was cleaner than when they started, the system looks amazing, runs even better and our house is wonderfully cold.

After 25 years, it was time to convert to gas heat. Our oil heating system was no longer efficient and was no longer able to heat the water in our electric water tank. The old oil tank was unstable and had taken on water, causing the oil to freeze and the heat to go out on numerous occasions during the winter. We hadn't had hot water for months. I found Sila Heating and Air Conditioning on Angie's List. From the beginning, the process went seamlessly. This was probably the most stress-free installation I have ever experienced. Everyone at Sila was extremely professional, from the first telephone contact, to the initial visit and estimate by Brian Redding, to the actual installation. Brian explained the conversion process, including helpful information about arranging a gas line to our house, which had to be done before the new equipment could be installed. He suggested that we could save money by replacing our electric water heater with a gas water heater, rather than upgrading our electric capacity to 200 amps to run our existing electric water heater (as we had thought necessary). He accepted the Angie's List coupon and told us about an unadvertised special that his company was running. He gave us his cell phone number, and followed up to see when the gas line was scheduled to be installed, so that the gas boiler and water heater could be installed as soon as possible. Phone messages and emails were returned immediately, and appointments were kept at the scheduled time. The actual installation took place without incident. The head technician (I think his name was Corey) and his men knew exactly what they were doing and everything went smoothly. Several weeks later, when I realized that I needed information to apply for a gas conversion rebate, Heather at Sila responded immediately and emailed me the details I needed.

They were nice and on time. They checked it before they left, and it was working. They were very professional. They came in their marked truck and in their uniforms, which I appreciated.

Tech was professional and didn't charge me for unnecessary repairs since I was replacing my AC in the future.

Nice guy. Advised me part going bad. Price 800+ to fix and tried selling me a 1 or 3 year service contract. No to all. Called guy who installed and he came out and said everything fine. Never in 35 years did he hear of "problem" Sila mentioned.

The technician didn't really do anything. He was supposed to inspect my boiler and prep it for winter -- in fact most of his attention was on my water heater. He asked me a lot of questions about it's age, condition, etc. I couldn't help thinking he was scoping out a future job. I expected him to go thru the house and bleed all of the lines, but he did none of that. Will not be using this outfit again.

The men arrived around 8am and starting working immediately, the service I had purchased was for spring tune-up service which was preformed and a clean filter was installed. Also when the men check the heat pump found that the dryer vent was loaded up the heat pump cover with lint, so they took it apart and cleaned all the lint out. Good job and pleasant servers. This is the second time I used Sila and both times top notch.

The technican arrived at our house on time and ready to work. He cleaned, inspected, and repaired several components of our furnace and left the area cleaner than when he arrived. A detailed explanation of the work that he was doing was given along with a detailed invoice. The only down side to the experience was the price but we knew this prior to having the work done due to the reputation of Sila.
