Scheduling the appt was easy, and the woman I scheduled with was very pleasant. The technician, Greg, showed up promptly, was very friendly and professional, and got right to work. I purchased their coupon for an A/C tune-up, and Greg did a thorough job, and cleaned up everything before he left. The price for the tune-up was great, the only reason I gave "B" on the price was because their annual service contract was twice what I was paying. I do need a new company since my other was unreliable and would not show up when I had appts scheduled (just can't keep doing that when I need to take vacation for an appt)... but they did a good job and the price wasn't out of reach for me. I understand that Sila may be covering more, but the contract cost is just too high for me. But, definitely a good company with nice customer service and professional technicians.

My experience went very well. They were quick to respond and we arrived at the estimate quickly too. I did not choose Sila though, as their price was much higher than the others I heard from.

It was disappointing, after doing multiple searches and selecting the search filter that confirms vendors "Definitely servers my area" Sila Heating & Air Conditioning continually came up at the top of every search for HVAC providers in the 19135 zipcode. This was extremely frustrating.

Technician showed up on-time and was professional and courteous. The tech immediately put shoe covers on his feet when he entered the home. He got right to work and answered all of my questions. I will definitely use Sila again in the future.

none of these places is cheap, given that there's rarely much to do, But Silas shows up exactly when they say that will, do everything correctly and leave the place clean. And everyone we've dealt with, different guys for heat and AC, are very nice and courteous. That's about as good as you'll get.

Sila provided excellent service, and helped me understand the issue with my AC. My AC starting working right away and it is still going.

Exactly as described, the vendor was punctual and completed the work as described.

The answering service is prompt and responsive- I had to reschedule the appt- no problem. Andrew arrived promptly at 8:30, he communicated clearly about all of the steps he had to take and the parts that needed work/replacement. He worked for several hours and left a detailed report in a plastic sleeve. We are very satisfied with the service.

We couldn't use them because they don't clean oil heaters. They contacted me and they let me know that they don't do it and it was handled very professionally and quickly because I called Angie's list and we got our refund.

He took about 30 mins.. To complete the entire job...he was early and went right to work and completed the whole job in a short period of time...Greg was very professional and did a very good job...I called the company and my work was completed the same day...

It did not cost us anymore than the $79 big deal. Everything went fine. It was good.

I took advantage of the Angie's Big Deal for a Home Humidifier for $649 installed, which was great. I've been meaning to get this done before last winter and never did. After purchasing, I called Sila and said that I wanted it installed along with a whole-house air purification system. We set up the appointment with no issue. The service person, (his name was Nam), showed 1 hour into the arrival window. He was very pleasant and courteous. He brought blue booties to wear, which is great 'cause I don't like cleaning the hardwood too much. (back breaking) I showed him to the basement and after initial review of the system, he informed me of the details of the work he was going to be doing. It sounded great and I let him to do his work. ( FYI, our home is only 6 yrs old with an unfinished basement, so there were probably no surprises that may come with an older home) When finished, he brought me down to show me the work and went over the details of how the system works. The service provided was professionally done and the service tech was great. However, there's just 1 small thing to remember: If you buy a Big Deal thru Angie's List, make sure that when you go to pay the service tech has deducted the previously paid portion to Angie's List. I accidentally paid the full sum at the time of service. ( because that $ figure was what was in my head) I realized 20 minutes later that I had paid for the humidifier twice. After several calls and some waiting, my check for $649 finally arrived on June 14th. (22 days later) So learn from my mistake. Despite the payment mix up, I'm still giving the experience an A and would use them again in the future.

I did not believe the technician was possess the knowledge or experience to troubleshoot

It worked out really well. There was an extra charge but they covered it, it was couple of hundred bucks. They're very professional, they cleaned up after they installed and they're on time. They had the best solution for what I was looking for.

we called for appointment and had to wait because of busy time but worth the wait,they completed the complete check up of ac system and found concerns with system and now the house is actually cold and better than when system was first installed.I would highly recommend this company they were great.

Problem was diagnosed and date was set for install, which was done professionally. Next day we were paid a follow up visit when the entire system was checked and explained to us. Follow up visit discovered a broken pipe fitting which could have caused significant water damage to second floor ceiling but was discovered during inspection and replaced. Outstanding service!

After a routine maintenance call, where I was shown that the outside unit, close to 20 years old, was heavily rusted and at the end of its life, I called the office to discuss getting a replacement. The person I spoke with, Corey, said he needed to speak with the tech who was here and he would call right back. I waited....and waited, but got no return call. I assumed that they weren't interested in my business and planned to call another A+ vendor, the following week. On the morning I set aside to make calls, A Sila Salesman called, unaware of my original call. Since my maintenance contract was with SILA, I scheduled an appointment. Brian came out and checked the system and gave me a quote on a new system. I agreed, and was asked for a 1/3rd deposit. I didn't have that much money available, and would need a few days to transfer funds, and I would mail a check. He said that he needed a check to accompany the contract and that I could post date it and he would hold onto it. Big mistake! I noticed that the check was cashed immediately and my other outstanding checks were in jeopardy of bouncing. The installation went as expected, taking about 5 hours. They checked the system out and said it was working properly. The next couple days were warm and I left the A/C on, but it didn't seem to cool the house down as well as before. I finally went to the basement and noticed that the duct wasn't cool, even though the thermostat was calling for cooling. I then noticed that a large volume of air was escaping from the front of the heater section, so that very little air was going through the cooling section and into the ducts. I can't imagine how they missed this. Another tech, and a supervisor came and determined that they would have to get a sheet metal person out to rework the installation. He arrived a few hours later, but found that sheet metal work wasn't required, and a flange just wasn't bolted where it should've been. I now had cooling. The following day, I noticed that the A/C seemed to be on constantly. It turned out that the fan was continuing to run, even when the thermostat wasn't calling for cooling. I checked the thermostat and verified that it wasn't set to always have the fan on. The service tech came out and found that a service switch was left on. He turned it off. The weather has been cool, for the past few weeks, so I don't know if everything will work. I will continue to use SILA only because they have my service contract.

I used Sila quite a bit. They are a big provider of A/C and heating maintenance in our area, and they are always great. They are just very professional. They are on time. They do a nice job. They communicate what they find very clearly and understandably. The cost of the service ended up just being whatever the Angie’s List deal was like $45 or something like that. They are a little pricier, but they do a good job.

The service tech was friendly, professional and on time. He did the tune-up and suggested that the large power capacitor and 30A contactor switch be replaced, as the meter readings were showing the current being drawn was higher than expected due to contacts wearing and arcing. Given that the A/C unit was 9 years old, this sounded like valid advice for reasonable and preventive maintenance. After the replacements, the amperage draw was about 20% lower, which will result in savings in the long run. But, the 2 parts added $587 to the $65 tune-up deal. I went with it figuring the parts were near the end of the average life cycle, and probably weren't much cheaper elsewhere, but the cost was still pretty high, hence the "C" for price. The Angie's list tune-up fee was a good deal though. A month later, the A/C died. They sent the same tech that did the tune-up. When he opened the unit, a wire going to the new 30A contactor switch was flopping loose in the breeze. He reseated it. A/C came back on. He apologized. No charge (as expected). Two weeks later, the A/C dies again, same symptoms (no fan or compressor running in the unit). Sila promptly sends a different tech this time. When he opened the unit, the same yellow wire going to the new 30A contactor switch was flopping loose again. He added/replaced two crimp connectors on the wires. A/C came back on. He apologized. No charge (as expected). Because of the loose wires requiring 2 service calls, I gave the "C" ratings. But to Sila's credit, they quickly handled the problem's each time.

The Sila techinician couldn't have been nicer, more polite, or intent on doing his job. However he was a bit overenthusiastic with his ananlysis which left us confused and nervous. Our until is freezing over periodically during the summer months and we need to find out why. Given that it was cool this time of year it wasn't possible to find the source of the problem. He did write up a very long, extensive, overabundant analysis which wasn't helpful in assessing what steps to take next. Just a lot of very expensive work jobs that cost more than the until itself. Getting services itemized wasn't possible. Just an overabundance of enthusiam for a younger mechanic so we don't feel confident about calling Sila again unfortunely.

They have been into my house a couple of times and I have set an agreement with them. My experience to them is fine, I was happy, and so far so good.

The person who came did the cleaning and that’s it. He checked all the vents to see how the air was flowing but other than that nothing else. The place is rented and has a very tiny furnace, but I think he was alright. I don’t think he was excellent and I don’t think he was bad but he was in between; in the middle. I had to wait for him for a long time. I would probably use him for my rental place but not for my house.

It turned out fine. I continue to get emails and brochures from them.

They were good. He was professional. Came out, did his work, told me a bunch of stuff that I really didn't want. He was good and I think he knew what he was doing. He was very knowledgeable, professional and everything. He was trying to get me a service contract which was I declined but other than that, he seemed like more of a salesman that than a technician, to be quite honest. The price was actually pretty good for that project. The air conditioning and the heating are running. They came out right away.
