I appreciate that the tech walks in and hands his business card over, puts booties over his shoes so as to not track dirt in the house, and left good notes about services rendered or needed in the future.

Very thorough and went through a check list. Felt like they knew what they were doing. The only negative is that they recommended a $250 annual service protection plan. I am not a fan of these types of programs as they are proven to be a waste of money , typically. Other than that I thought they knew their business and would welcome them into my home again

The situation required considerable investigation on the service provider's part -- finding out if the unit was under warranty, finding the availability of the damaged part (which would have had to be over-nighted), verifying the availability of a new furnace, and getting me prices for all of this information. The situation was intensified as I was scheduled to leave the following morning for a five-day Thanksgiving visit with my daughter in Rhode Island, and we were in the midst of a very severe so I knew I could not leave the house without heat for such a long period. After reviewing the information, I decided to replace the furnace -- and, to my complete amazement and pleasure, Sila was able to complete the installation of the new furnace that afternoon so I could relax and be on my way to Rhode Island as planned the following morning. The service people I dealt with were knowledgeable and efficient. I am not comfortable in providing ratings for the Price and Quality of the new furnace and of the work performs since I never had a chance to make any comparison of the $4,700 charge for the new furnace with that of other furnaces or installment services, and the quality can only be determined by how well the new furnace functions over time. However, since you do insist I have given high ratings for all the items.

Excellent friendly and professional service from my initial conversation with Shelly in the office to the work completed by Dan, I was very pleased with the quality of the service provided by Sila. They responded very quickly especially since it was just 2 days before Christmas when I called. I would definitely use their services again and recommend them based on my own experience!

I had used Silas Heating & Air Conditioning in the past to check my air conditioner to make sure it was still working well, since I hadn't had it checked since I moved into the house 6 years earlier. I was happy with the thoroughness of their work and that the technician took the time to explain things to me. He told me some parts were getting a little worn but overall things were fine, so I don't feel like he was making anything up to try to sell me something. But I did end up buying a service plan since I knew the air conditioner was getting old. I decided to use them again when I wanted to have my furnace checked for proper functioning (in both cases I used an Angie's List coupon). They actually contacted me after I bought the coupon to set up a service date, and also asked about adding the furnace to my current plan for the air conditioner. Since I had had some problems with the furnace in the past, they offered me a discounted price to add it on to my current plan, and we had a new baby in the house and a somewhat old furnace (and I didn't want to risk having no heat in the middle of winter - the plan included emergency service at any time), I bought the plan even though it felt a little expensive even with the discounted price. What was nice is that, since the plan would include a yearly furnace check, they counted the price I already paid for the Angie's List coupon towards the overall cost. Once they came out to inspect the furnace, they again seemed to do a thorough job but didn't find anything wrong. The only minor criticism I have is they seemed to have some problems with inter-office communications, because there was some confusion over registering me for the new plan, and they also called me to schedule a furnace tune-up after getting me in their system even though I already had one scheduled. These were not big issues, though, so I didn't take off any points from their overall rating. So far I've been happy with their service and I plan to continue to use them in the future even after my service plan expires.

The work, went amazingly well. An install date was set within 2 weeks of agreement. They sent a project manager the day before to finalize plans, answer questions and explain what was going to happen the next day. The team showed up the next day, on time, ready to work, and with all the materials they would need. Six to eight technicians initially, four I believe were here at the end of the major work. The project manager had the work well planned out. Everyone on the team had a purpose and all were very good at what they were assigned to do. Professional competence and efficiency.... very nice to witness during the installation. All the major work was done within 2.5 days. It took PECO 3 days to certify the gas connection. SILA made sure the AC and hot water were working during that time. SILA even planned for a technician to be here when PECO was certifying the connections. The technician then finalized everything. Made sure we understood how to program and use the units. A very good job done by a very professional company. We are very happy with our choice of SILA.

I signed up for the three payment contact system and I will be moving in the Spring so I only made the two payments for contract. The gentlemen that came out were very polite and professional.

It was excellent. The guys were clean and well groomed. They were polite and cleaned up after themselves. They did a very thorough job. They were prompt and the Big Deal price was excellent. They were also well spoken.

I have never had a bad experience with them. From calling in the middle of the night when my heat went out to installing the new system.

Installed new gas furnace. Installation went fine. There was a problem with the connection to the AC which they came and fixed right away. The furnace does make the house somewhat warmer however I have not seen as much savings on my gas bill as I had anticipated.

The company called to let me know the technician was going to be late which was ok cause i was home either way. When the technician arrived he was very professional and respectful of the house. used shoe covers and all. He also provided alot of helpfull information.

Sila showed up on time and were very professional. However, they charged $176 to show up and check the problem. Then wanted a total of $410 for the diagnosis and to replace a relay. They were charging $176 for diagnosis and $234 for the fix which entailed plugging a $30 relay into the heater transformer. I declined the fix and paid th $176. Then bought the relay I needed for $30 and fixed it myself in 15 minutes. I don't know why they couldn't charge less for such a simple fix.

They are honest. He told me my heater is in good condition. The only thing I don't like is that they (and all similar providers I have found) try to sell me a maintenance contract and they are pretty pushy.

The technician was extremely friendly and personable. He 'serviced' the heater and provided an estimate to fix the 'problem', which he said required over 1K worth of knocking down drywall and re-doing the pitch of a pipe. When my husband came home, he found part of the heater completely disconnected, inside of the heater, which I wouldn't have noticed because I was busy with the baby. We had another HVAC company come out for a second opinion. The problem turned out to be a pressure switch, which was much less expensive to fix, and did NOT involve pipes or knocking down drywall at all. If we had gone ahead with this company, they would have knocked down drywall, done a very expensive job which we would have to also pay for new drywall, and it wouldn't have fixed the problem. I would not trust this company as a woman. I feel that they purposefully left parts disconnected and tried to quote me a very expensive job, since I was preoccupied with a baby, and wouldn't know any better, unless I had a second opinion of course. UPDATE 3/2014: Sila contacted us, apologized, and refunded our money for the heater service. The person who spoke with my husband was very nice and professional.

Ky came on time at the dot as they scheduled. He is very professional for all aspects. I was amazed when he put on booty to keep my place clean. After his quick introduction, Ky did not waste any second straight to the furnace and started working on it. I was told immediately that there was no flame sensor. He explained what is the sensor thoroughly and told me that he can't perform the tune up due to the missing part. He needs to order it. Once the part ready, he said he will come, if I request him to come to do the work, and fix it. He told me everything up front which is very honest and professional. I am really happy about Sila's service even there is nothing has been done today. I believe that they will do a good job once they visit again when part ready.

The service was excellent. They provided great service, nice people and were willing to come out quickly.They came out for the service the same day as I purchased the big deal. In addition to the big deal I signed up for a one year service plan with them.

They were more than double the other quotes I had got so I thought they were extremely expensive. They were fine and professional though.

It went well - arrived exactly on time, service was prompt and friendly. I wasn't happy to learn I'll need new ductwork, but I can't complain about how I found out this information.

The service was quick and efficient. I am satisfied with their professionalism and the cost, which was a special offer through Angie's List. I didn't know any service companies in this area, so I was cautious. I have no concerns now about the service and believe they did a good job in preparing my central unit for winter.

They were great. They set up an appointment, came on time, were clean, efficient, and did what they said they would do. The even told me about something that I wasn’t aware of. They were very helpful.

They did a good job. They found some mold that needed to be addressed and took care of it. They installed an ultraviolet light to deal with this issue.
