They checked out my A/C problem. They were very nice and very courteous. They also were reasonable.

You get what you pay for. I'm on a contract.

Someone came out and looked at it, and it turns out it was not the right service.

A SILA sales rep came out to my house because I was interested in getting air conditioning for my first floor. The sales rep was courteous, and very professional. He did the measurements and calculated the amount of BTU's I'd need to cool my first floor, which has an open floor layout. The sales rep gave me several pricing options and unit options for ductless AC units. I told him I would get back to him soon, as I was looking to get something installed before the heat set in. I had already worked with SILA in the past, they installed a new boiler with dual zones for heating my single family home and I had a great experience with them the first time around. After our meeting I checked Angie's List to see if they were running any promotional offers or big deals. I saw their deal and decided it was the perfect option to get my first floor done. After I purchased the deal I contacted the sales rep and told him of my plan, and he came out for a finalization of the contract and to make sure I had the appropriate space in my electrical box to add on the units. All was well, so we scheduled an install date for about 12 days later. The install went flawlessly, the crew showed up right on time, and as soon as they set foot in the house, they put covers on their shoes and laid out drop cloths around the working area. They were very professional, and took care in making sure the inside and outside working areas were clean when they were finished. The technician showed me how to control the AC units, and we powered them up and had them running to make sure everything was good to go. I would highly recommend SILA to a neighbor or friend looking to upgrade their existing heating or AC unit. They have consistently provided me with great service.

I would highly recommend Sila for this kind of A/C equipment install. From start to finish, it was a great and smooth experience. The salesman, MIchael Gill, was terrific in explaining the system to us, working with us to formulate a layout that made sense and was just very helpful to us as we weighed this big investment in our home. Work began on time as agreed and the crew installing was fantastic. Showed up at the same time each day, got the entire two-zone system installed and up and running in just six days and were extremely courteous, leaving our home clean each and every day. To cap it off, Sila agreed to do some minor finishing work (ie install of window benches, wall cutouts, etc) to hide what little duct work this system has whereas the competition refused to include this. Terrific experience that will always make me think of Sila for all of my heating/cooling needs.

They explained everything to us there was and no pressure whatsoever to purchase the A/C units. Foreman Dan and installers Kai and Matt did a wonderful job. They put tarp in the house and were very neat and careful. When they finished installing everything they explained how the units worked and also vacuumed the house and took all the debris with them. I called to schedule the company to install an HVAC unit. They told me I had to buy the equipment from them. This is not clearly outlined in the deal. The company said they would not honor the deal unless I purchased the equipment and for me to call Angie's List back for a refund of the Big Deal.

It wasn't really what I expected. I was hoping to have a tune-up done and bleed the radiators, but they basically just listed and diagrammed the work I needed done. I'll probably use someone else for the work. However, they were right on time, were very respectful, and wore booties over their shoes when they came in.

Forth year in a row SILA has provided this service. Casey, the service tech, was prompt and professional, as all prior service personnel have been. Casey provided some recommendations to improve the filtering system based upon my usage. Good food for thought-----Absolutely no hard sell! Highly recommend. I will use again.

The service turned out fine. They did exactly what the deal stated. They came when they said they would. The scheduling was very easy.

The Big Deal went well. The technician was nice to work with so I decided to hire them again. I ended up hiring them to replace two ac units months late. The cost of the new units was around $8,000.

It’s around $90 just for them to come out, but the total cost ended up being $205 for this service call. They were only there for 15 minutes to do some tests to determine that the electricity was off to the unit. I felt it was bit pricey considering it was a workmanship error, but he was here for so little of time and I had just spent $8,000 with them last summer to purchase new ac units. I did contact them regarding my dissatisfaction with the price of the service call, but no one ever called me back to work with me. The experience left a sour taste in my mouth so I'm looking for another provider.

After purchasing this deal, we realized that the product will not work well in our home. So we will not be able to use it.

I am very happy with their service. I have not had an issue with my heating since. I will use them again.

This company was professional, friendly, and efficient. Although I wasn't able to use the Angie's List Big Deal, they found a solution that worked for me. Installation was prompt and they left everything cleaner than they found it. My new units are cool and quiet. I've already recommended them to friends.

It was great. This guy was wonderful. This is the 2nd heater cleaning Ive had. The first one was fine but the second experience went above and beyond. He was really professional. I was more than pleased. The company is very fortunate to have this employee.

Our sales estimate went well, they proposed a good solution based upon our needs and budget. Installation appeared to go well. Within a couple of days we noticed a rattling sound in the duct work. Given the sound was coming from the newly installed ductwork in the basement and the fact the drywallers were coming the next day, I called and left a message in the evening to be contacted the next morning and explained our need to have service before the ceiling was drywalled. At 9am the next morning I had not received a return call to my urgent message. Called and spoke with employee I had left message with who apologized for not returning my call and said he could have someone out at 2 that afternoon. I explained again I had drywallers coming that morning and could not have them wait while SILA fixed the problem and to get someone out ASAP. I was quite irritated that 1) they had not returned my phone call to an urgent issue and 2) they seemed to have no sense of urgency related to my needs and their installation. A few minutes later the employee called back and someone was sent out about an hour later. The problem was fixed. Later I realized the air return had not been screwed to the drywall tightly and fixed that myself. The system is working fine now and we are happy. I am disappointed in the lack of responsiveness from Sila and based upon their lack of response I would not be as enthusiastic about using them again in the future although I would include them in any bidding process.

I was not happy with my experience. Phillip was unique. We have been using Freon since we put in the new AC unit. When Sila came, they told us everything was fine howeve,r when we had another company come out, they told us our AC was leaking and they had to put in a pound of Freon. We wanted Sila Heating and Air Conditioning to cover this expense and the service contract did not cover this. I had to pay $950 additional for them to fix it since it was out of contract.

The young man who came here looked at my heater for about 10 minutes. He said the heat exchanger was cracked and I needed a new heater. He said someone could come out to give me an estimate that day. I said to hold on because I would have another service provider come and look at the heater. I had another service provider come out and they said that the heat exchanger wasn’t cracked and if it had been cracked it would have needed to have been disconnected from the power source immediately because it would emit carbon monoxide. I contacted the owner of Sila Heating & Air Conditioning and he was very responsive. He refunded the Big Deal and paid for the other service provider to come out. He said the young man who came out was new. Overall, it was a good experience because they handled the issue very well.

Technician was prompt and courteous. All required work was completed per the ad. The only very minor point was the sticker placed on our outdoor unit. We thought the tech should have asked if it was ok prior to installing it. Overall, I would recommend Sila.

I called the company to set the appointment up and they said they would send someone out with the technician that was going to service my heater to perform the analysis. I had some specific issues with my air conditioning that I wanted to get checked out. The technician showed up on time but the guy who was supposed to do the analysis of my heating, cooling & water heating system never showed up. They serviced my heater but did not provide the other services that were supposed to be included in the deal. I would not use them again because of this fact. The special felt like a hustle just to get you to buy there heater service. I told the technician about the issues I was having and he said they would need to get someone else out to take a look at the problem and to find a solution. I didn't hear back from the company until I received a bill for the service a few months later even though I paid angies list directly for the service. I threw the bill out. I got a follow call from them about 3 weeks later about the bill and had to explain to the guy that I purchased the service through angies list. He was eventually able to find the voucher and applied it to my account but it was just another headache in the whole experience. The guy asked me how the service went and I let him know I felt ripped off and that I didn't get the services that were advertised. He said he would have someone get in touch with me to come take a look at my issues but I never heard back from them again. They serviced my furnace and replaced my air filter so I guess I got my $100.00 worth but I purchased the deal for the other services promised and because they did not provide those services I will not be a repeat customer.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal for this service and it turned out fine. They did a good job on it and I would use them again. They came out within a few weeks after I purchased the deal.

It was fine. I don't remember exactly but I remember being satisfied. It was so long ago, I don't really remember that much.

Service was performed well, but there was a bit of a hard sell on the up sell for additional services.
