I Purchased an Angie's list special for furnace tune-up @ $39. From that point on my experience was excellent! I received a call from Sila Heating and Air Conditioning asking me when I would like to schedule. The gentleman was super courteous and pleasant and gave me my desired appointment date and time frame. The day of the service appointment I received a call from another very pleasant and courteous gentleman to tell me Gary will be at my house in about 20 minutes to a half hour. Gary arrived in 20 minutes. Gary explained what he was going to do and answered all my questions kindly and patiently. He was a pleasure to interact with. When the tune-up was completed the work area was left clean and neat. Gary was great! My experience with Sila was terrific from the beginning to the end!

I guess the work was done. He left a list on my heater, so I guess he did work, however, I attempted to compare what the mechanic did with my deal list, but he didn't appear to be too responsive to my queries about exactly WHAT he was doing with MY heater, I wasn't in his way, but I am accustomed to watching what people do in my house. I guess I'll have to wait until I actually turn the heat on to find out. Kinda didn't like his attitude.

Very well. I've been using Sila for my annual heating system check-up for the past 4 years. They're always timely, responsive, and reasonably priced. Technicians are professional and will often suggest improvements or upgrades, but they don't apply pressure - just information.

Dan was the service person. He was very informative and an excellent plumber. He was very professional but friendly. Worked within the hour. We would hire again for sure.

I had a positive experience with Sila Heating and Air Conditioning. I would recommend them to anyone-- and hire them again myself.

Completely satisfied with quality of work. Technician was smart and helpful. But completely dissatisfied with parts pricing they charge. It was 400% markup. Flapper for toilet which retail for $15 but was charged $59.65. I had Angieslist 1hr deal $49/hr so maybe it is related. The flapper I picked up was the wrong size and I was given the option to get the part. But when its an hour of work I don't think it is fair to expect that I would go out and buy the part. 20-30% premium of retail price is still ok which I have seen other vendors charge for the parts they provide. But 400% is not ok.

He is excellent, the guy that comes is Chris. My toilet was backed up and he took everything a part. He did everything he could and he said it needed to be replaced but he did everything possible. I also had a gas stove, the people that I bought it from didn't put it all the way back to the wall, so he changed a fitting and moved that back. I just really really like them. I paid for an Angie's list price then I paid extra for the fitting. There were here when they said they'd be here. They don't mess around looking up extra work to make extra money. He knows his stuff. I would absolutely use them again.

I want to give them an "A" overall and I'd use them again and I have.

I saw the Angie's List advertisement of Sila for "plumbing services for $49" for one hour. I figured, ok, max, it would take about 2 hours, which would cost me approx another $100. I received a call from the Sila scheduler, letting me know that the plumber would be out on the following Monday, and inquired as to what I was having done. I told him that the valve needed to be replaced. He didn't mention anything that there were prices for different "procedures" or "jobs". So, I figured it was on a "time" basis. And the materials were not THAT expensive. Get a call Monday, the plumber could come out earlier than anticipated. Ok, great, I'm home, send him over. Still no mention of different prices for different jobs. The plumber came, was polite, said "thank you" about 300 times , and wore protective covers on his shoes to assess the situation. Fine, he was professionally dressed, and was polite. Then, after the assessment, he went back out to his truck. After about 10 or 15 minutes, (why so long????), he came back in and stated that the job would be $371 more than the $49 that I already paid. I was incredulous!! "It will take you about 4 hours to do this job?", I asked. "Oh, no, we just have certain prices for certain jobs". Ok, why didn't anyone tell me this? EVERYONE knows plumbers are the biggest ripoff kings going. Then why be misleading? Eventually, he went out to "talk to his supervisor" about it. He came back in after another 10 minutes with a lower price. Still, that is approximately $100 more than the job had taken. He was here for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, at least 20 minutes in the truck writing these price estimates. Why not be prepared? I asked to have a valve replaced, and that is what was needed. It was a simple job, not something that needed to be "diagnosed". Why be so deceptive? Why not let me know the approximate cost when the original scheduler called and asked what the job was? Be more "professional" and give an estimate over the phone, so I at least know what to budget. Just be more forthright about the pricing. I will be much more careful when using anyone from Angie's list again.
