Not good with the sales person not very trustworthy at all.
Description of Work: I obtained the $59 coupon for the tune up for my heater. When I called the company they told me that the tune up wasn't really a tune up. That the tech just comes out and walks around to make sure the heaters okay. So I had to pay more to have my heater checked. That was okay but when the sales person came out to try to sell me a heater I began to wonder what happened to the honest people in this world. Be aware when dealing with their sales people.

However, SILA failed to mention that they would only show up in mid January for a coupon that was provided in mid December. In other words they would fulfill the terms of the $59 coupon more than 4 weeks later. This is a bit misleading for customers. One may expect someone to show up maybe 10 days later, but not a month later. Please review your promotion policies. Thanks!

I've used Sila in the past and have been very happy. This experience was disappointing. Sila called at the end of the arrival window to let me know the technician was running a little late. He arrived 90 minutes after the end of the window. He completed a diagnostic and told me my pressure switch was bad. It was a simple repair that I could do myself and save some money. I appreciated that he was not trying to upsell a huge repair. I replaced the pressure switch and my heater still did not work. I tried a different pressure switch and the unit still will not turn on. I called Sila and asked them to come out and look at my unit again since their diagnostic was wrong. They want another $89 for this since they could not guarantee the work that I did. I do not feel I should pay again for something that should have been done right the first time - they led me to replace something that was not the reason my heater was not working. So much for saving me money!!

I entered into a contract with Sila using an Angie's List coupon that was intended for commercial or industrial customers with multiple HVAC units, but because the coupon was poorly worded Sila agreed to honor the terms of the deal without any coercion on my part. I choose to use someone from Angies list because I expect to honest review. Based on the very bad experience I just encounter I don’t know what to think since this company had an A rating. Prior to the service being performed • 1st the price on here states 99 for a tune-up, when I contacted them they said it’s 250+ for oil furnace • I schedule the 1st appointment and then they had to cancel it because someone called out sick • I then scheduled another appointment for 11/01/2016 from between 8-10, so I left the door unlock because I wasn’t going to be there and requested that they close when they left. I live in a very nice neighborhood and leaving the door open for an hour or 2 wasn’t a major concern. Day of service performed by Sila (11/01/2018) They were at my house between 8-10 am based on the receipt The performed service to the AC and the Furnace They cleaned and removed the flue pipe and did not put it back properly. They shut down my central heating system and a Red sticker it and left. When they left they did none of the following: • Did not call, text or email to let me know that there was a major issue with the system and that they had to shut it down. • There was no note or receipt left at my house to let me know that there was a major issue with the system and that they had to shut it down. When I got home from work about 4:30 pm: The door was open so I did think they came. I contacted the company to find out why service was not perfumed and they stated The state the following: • There was a hole above the Flue pipe (This hole was there before) • They claimed that there was carbon monoxide in the basement because of the hole. Note: I also have a detector in the basement and that did not go off. I went to Home Depot on 11/2/2018/ and bought the best one that they had in the store and it still hasn’t gone off. I also notice that part of the wall broke off where the flue pipe is connected. The Flue pipe did not look like ti was put back properly My warranty company: I contacted my Home warranty company and explained the information that Sila had mention. They send someone out to my house the next day. When they came out to my house on 11/2/2018 they came to the following conclusion: The carbon monoxide level was at 0 They also stated that the flue pipe is not put back properly and that’s the cause of the hole above the flue pipe. The insurance company is declining to fix it because they said the issue was caused by Sila What I need: I need some from Sila to come out to my house and take a look at the job that was done and also bring a carbon monoxide tester to test the level. I don’t want the people who were there before to come back to my house.

The end result was an excellent AC system and it changed our lives in the house. They did great work and the crew who did the work were pleasant to work with and clever in how they dealt with issues they encountered. The overall project was expensive but it didn't impact the old world aesthetic of my home and added a much needed AC system to the house. I'm happy with the result!

I have used HVAC services from Sila couple of times times in recent years. I am satisfied with the main work, but few things were done very unprofessional way. Once, Sila’s technician drilled a hole on the trunk just to hang a plastic holder to keep a scheduler copy. I have observed it when air started leaking from there. In recent visit, a technician drilled a hole on the cloth area which is attaching two metal trunks. I have seen and asked the technician immediately as none of the technicians from any other company in the past drilled a hole there. I was told he needs to check the temperature. And none of these new or opened holes were closed by technicians to avoid any leaks, after the service is performed. I don’ t want to see my system with full of patches.

They did a good job, let us know what needed to be done, were professional and knew what they were doing. The price paid for the inspection was fine (with a discount), though the services suggested would be quite expensive compared to other companies ($6000 - $7000), not sure if we are going to proceed at this time.

Went well, what I was upset about was I used Sila the past few years, every time I used them, I prepaid the service through Angie's list direct! I actually could have sworn I did the same thing again this time, but was told I didn't,. When the worker finished he asked for payment now or be billed, I asked that he then send me a bill which he OK'd & left! I didn't receive a physical bill from Sila for over a month after the service, and they were about to put me in collection or bad credit. I PAY MY BILLS!!!! That ****** me off!!! They then emailed me a copy of the invoice and I paid them that moment!!! Not good!!!!!

Had a spacepak high velocity unit installed in 2010 by unique who was sila at the time . in 2014 the coil was " leaking " and the unit required replacement sadly they couldn't replace the whole unit and only replaced the coil . Charged 1000 ( labor only ) Four years later the coil is leaking again ! This is after being checked 3 weeks earlier by another company that said the unit was working perfectly ! The leak was confirmed by both companies . Sila agreed to change the whole unit but when they came out couldn't do it because they didn't have the same size unit and no unit would fit - so they had to switch out the coil again ! Three coils in 8 years !!! The young technician who came out was very capable and straight forward about the options . It took most of the day because they had to wait for a coil to be delivered . Sila stood by the manufacturers guarantee ( the other company wanted to charge me 4000 dollars which was 5 x the amount ) and charged me a reasonable cost for the work . I am grateful to Sila for their discount on the work but cautious that I will be spending another 1000 dollars in 4 years to replace the coil again ! They said if I had maintained a contract with Sila since the unit was installed they would have not charged me anything for the work ! Something to think about folks . The only reason I gave them a B for professionalism is that whoever was soliciting contracts this year was somewhat rude and weird . For that reason I went with the other company for a maintenance contract - gonna try to get my money back from them !!!

It went extremely well...I have used Ullmans before in my last house. This man is master plumber, he will take the time to thoroughly diagnose you problem and do what it takes to resolve it. I needed a special fitting for my Kohler faucet so Larry went to a dealer not too far away and bingo he got the part! I would put this plumber at the top of my list : )

I can not say enough positive remarks about the Sila Co. From my initial call, to scheduling, to our sales rep Chris, foreman, and our installers (Sam, Steve, and Mike) everyone was very friendly, polite, and professional. No one made me feel that my questions didn't matter or that they weren't important. We had both our heater and air conditioning units replaced, and even relocated our air conditioner for us. The guys doing the removal and install were here all day in and out of the house, and every time they entered the house they put foot booties on so they would not mess up the house. The also laid tarps on the floor where they were working, and did a very thorough clean up when they were finished. I would def. use them again as well as recommend to others.

Our technician spent a good amount of time getting our unit repaired, cleaned and ordered a part to finish the job. A few weeks later our unit shut off again and a different tech told us we should replace the heater! This was bad news since we just paid this $1570 invoice. It's back up for now so hoping we get our money's worth from this repair. Tech spent a fair amount of time trying to sell us a hot water heater.

It took almost 3 hours for the install which was told me to be done within 2 hours. And the rate for the additional hour was $165 which was way too steep on top of the $100 coupon (for 2 hours). I had left soon after the install and did not get a chance to try and use it a few weeks later. I found water on the bottom when I went to use it and they wanted to charge an additional $89 to come and even look at it.
