Description of Work: I was extremely pleased with the responsiveness of this company. I initially had a water heater check up but suspected I would need a new water heater. The technician agreed with me and we scheduled a date for the water heater to be replaced. Late that night, water was pouring out of the water heater and I called the owner in a panic. He called me right back and worked to rearrange scheduled work so he could have a new water heater installed the next morning. The tech was extremely knowledgeable and gave me maintenance tips that will help me in the future. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this company and would call upon them again should the need arise. I believed the price was fair and the quality of work was outstanding. Thank you Sila!

Description of Work: I bought the "Big Deal" online from Angies List. The price of $50 for a heater tune up was very good. The company was professional right from the start. I especially liked that they scheduled a specific time and not a 4 hour window when they may arrive. The service tech "Ben D." arrived right on time, was friendly, very knowledgeable and professional. He seemed to be very detail oriented. He explained everything and spent a good 70 minutes on the job. I would gladly call them again and refer to others.

Description of Work: We have a dual zone heating system that needed annual maintenance. After speaking with one of their representatives at a local home show, we were also exploring the possibility of installing a humidifior in the attic space; This was discouraged by the installer and we decided not to pursue it based on his recommendation. It would have been too much money and hassle to install. I appreciated his honesty. We are happy with this service and their employees.

Description of Work: I approached Sila for a quote on central air for a home without ducts. Their sales rep made 3 site visits to my home so he could study the house and ask about my preferences, followed by several creative and customized proposals. It was clear that he was not pushing any favorite plan, but rather putting a lot of thought and collaboration into the various options that I might choose from given my home's architecture. He also told me strategies for discounts, and how to use the system most efficiently. The construction team was clean and efficient. I would definitely recommend them.

Description of Work: Sila came and did a tune up, found a problem and did a repair on it. The tech was terrific. The main office was fine, but in the end, I think I am paying too much for everything. Sila charged me for the additional repair and discounted me the $59 deal price on that repair. But in fairness, they should have discounted me what I would have paid had I not had a coupon. In other words, if they usually charge $75 for a tune up, and I paid $59 for that service, they should have credited me the $75 against the total repair cost, not just the $59. It basically means that the "discount" I received for buying an Angie's List coupon disappeared entirely. I also told the tech when he arrived that I wanted to do a service contract and later the company told me that I'd have to pay for the repair, then buy a service contract. I kind of wish I had negotiated the service contract up front when I was scheduling the visit, as I think I may have saved some money. In other words, this was okay but it did not end up being much of a deal for me. Sila seems like a fine company and I am moving forward with them as a servicer. Dennis, the tech, was terrific and very helpful. I just kind of wish I had simple signed on with them as a service agreement customer and not done the Angie's List coupon -- turned out to be too confusing and probably more expensive for me all told.

Description of Work: Our furnace was not functioning and Jeff from Sila came out the day I called. He diagnosed the problem promptly and installed a new pump for us which he had on his truck. Jeff was not only competent, but cheerful and friendly despite having to work late and far from home.

Description of Work: I bought this Angies deal to inspect my heating /AC. I expected someone to come over dust everything squirt some oul and that would be it. After all it was only $69. I was very surprised when (2) young fellows came over and spent about 2 and a half hrs checking everything cleaned the system thoughly. They made some recomendations, that I followed up on. They assure me the system was in good shape, which was comforting. They were very professititable ( they knew what they were talking about). I was very pleased.

Description of Work: This was for the annual check on the boiler. An Angielist Deal. The work was done correctly and all points checked. Some of the other suggested changes to the heating system were probably not practical for my situation.
