Description of Work: I had called before purchasing the Big Deal. The woman on the phone said to replace my system would be in the approximate $3000 range, so I bought the deal. The technician came out to look and quoted me at about $10,000. I guess the work was different then they described but I was still a bit upset the quote was so different over the phone. I did not use the company for any work.

Description of Work: Ac wasn't working well, so I called Sila for service. We have the annual AC maintenance plan with them, which I highly recommend. Unit is relatively new but this is the second summer when the cost of repair would have far exceeded the cost of the service plan. Condenser fan motor part and installation as well as diagnostic visit were all of no charge to us. Service techs are super polite and friendly, and always don shoe covers when entering our home. Will be using this company for a long time.

Description of Work: Our furnace was evaluated when we called for heating problems. We had some work done and purchased the service program they offered. The technician found two problems that needed to be addressed. We got those items fixed and still had problems. Over the course of about six weeks they came out and addressed several issues.. The company was prompt and the technicians very patient and took their time addressing the heating issues. After several parts replacements the furnace is running in tip top performance. They suggested having the chimney cleaned. Since we had been there 13 years,we thought that was a good suggestion and luckily we found a deal on Angie's List right after that. The chimney company was great. It took several weeks but Sila worked with aqua and resolved our issues. Thank you.s

Description of Work: We have a heat pump with oil back up system. In April 2012 we had Sila come out to service our heat pump. At that time the technician recommended that we could purchase a contract for $370 where the company would come out in the fall to service the heating system (oil backup system). We agreed to the program. In December a technician came out to clean the heater (or so we thought). In April 2013 we received a quote for another year of maintenance for $496.00. When we called to find out why the big increase we were told it was because this plan included the oil furnace heating system. We told them we believed that the plan that we had bought last year included the oil burner heating system and they said that it did not. The heat pump was serviced in April and in December. This made no sense to us. The paper with the $370 quote stated AC + Heat. When we repeatedly questioned this on the phone we were told that they apologized for the misunderstanding but it was only for the heat pump. We would have never agreed to have the heat pump serviced twice in one year and pay this high amount. Needless to say we will not be paying the $496 to have them cover our systems.

Description of Work: Replaced furnace and central air conditioning units. After being awakened to a horrible burning rubber, oily smell on one of the coldest days of the year, I called Sila at 6 a.m. on a Friday to leave a message about my faulty furnace. After leaving a message, my call was promptly returned at 7 a.m. a lot earlier than I expected. I already knew the furnace was old and would need replacing eventually (a bit sooner than I would have liked). After receiving my estimates, work began on that Saturday. The 98% efficient furnace was installed that day. The air conditioner was installed later that week. The workers were outstanding (albeit a little hard to understand with the accents) the salesman was great too. Since it was freezing out, and of course it had to start snowing later that day, the salesman delivered space heaters to make it a little more bearable inside.

Description of Work: A/C tune up service provided by Ben Douthwaite from SILA. Ben was on-time, extremely courteous, explained everything in detail and taught me how to maintain the A/C unit better. Just great, great service. I would recommend him and SILA to anyone.

Description of Work: I called the provider to request installation services of a whole home humidifier. They were not able to honor my coupon for that type of installation. Customer service representatives from this company were not very friendly.
