Description of Work: We had the team at Sila install a new direct vent gas boiler and hot water heater combination system. As part of the process, our project manager Brian informed us of each step of the installation, including having one of the installation team do a lay out of the system before installation to insure accuracy. They removed our old oil tank and boiler, which was no simple task considering that it took five men just to move the boiler. Over two days they installed the new system, took very good care to lay down dropcloths and protect our house, and were extremely professional throughout the job. At the end, we have a beautiful new system, a very clean basement, and high-efficient heat and hot water that has been working very consistently so far. I also had some ongoing communication with their office staff to obtain some paperwork for the PGW rebates. Joseph was always very prompt and helpful during that process. On all sides, we have been very pleased with our experience.

Description of Work: Serviced my air conditioner. They did an excellent job, was on time and left a detailed chart on what was done.

Discovered dryer vent spewing lint between ceiling and insulation which was a very serious fire hazard. They replaced those ducts as well. We could have had a fire at any time and wouldn't have known.

Description of Work: I say I will use them in the future because we have a contract with them. After the contract is up we aren't sure because their prices are much higher than we can afford, and in order to get a senior citizen discount you have to get down on your knees and beg. I must say that the employees sent to our home are first rate. I am not sure of the exact date they installed our new hot water heater.

Description of Work: Sila has been taking care of our furnace and air conditioner for years. They are punctual, knowledgeable and very professional. I would recommend them to anyone in the market for heating and air conditioning issues.

Description of Work: They replace my Heating & Airconditioning system. Techs for installation were great. Price high , please bargain..salesman did not explain or did not know about PECO discounts on system 16 seers or higher. As a person he was nice. His boss or collegue mentioned about Angies' list coupon.It did go smoothly. I could have saved more money . Hope their service after installation will be as good as they claim.

Description of Work: Installed High Velocity Central air in a 1923 twin with hot water heating. They did a very good job of keeping the "invasiveness" of the duct-work to a minimum, compared to other installations we had seen. The most difficult parts were: 1, Emptying, then re-adjusting the shelving (minimal space lost), then restocking the closets and 2: building a "window seat" beneath a dormer window for the purpose of hiding the main trunk line that ran along the eves of the two sides of the 3rd floor. These were not covered in the contract. | |Everyone from SILA who worked on this project was highly experienced and well trained. I especially recommend SILA for those who are willing to pay more for higher quality work. They completed the job in 2 1/2 days.

Description of Work: For the $89.00 they checked out our heater and air conditioner. The heater was over 30 years old and the air conditioner was around 12 years old. They made some suggestions and we decided to go with getting a new heater and air conditioner as the systems were both in bad shape at a cost of $8,000. Both the technicians and salesman was very polite and informative. The work was completed in one day and a couple days later we had water in our heater room from the air conditioning system. We called and they came out the next day and had to order a part. The part came in and was installed and we have had no problems since. All in all a good experience.

Description of Work: We have a contract with Sila for our heater and air conditioner. We have been happy so far with the work they have done. Their workmen are very professional, but the office is hard to deal with. We just used them several months ago to put in a new hot water heater. We thought that the price of the hot water heater was way too high, and I told them I wanted a Buick - not a Cadillac. It took almost getting down on my knees to get them to even give us a 5% senior citizen discount. They were long on getting back to us, and in the beginning a bit arrogant that we even asked. Everyone else gives a 10% discount, and we are thinking seriously about looking for someone else when our contract expires for just this reason.
