They answered the phone on the first ring, and were able to schedule me quickly. The price was excellent as compared to other HVAC companies - especially with the Angie's List coupon. The manager called a few days after the work was performed to follow up and check to see if I was satisfied.

The representative from the Company, Neal Spiker, was very helpful. After analyzing our home, he presented us with three separate options for cooling the house. I was impressed with how thorough and thoughtful the bid was. There are a number of options when retrofitting air conditioning. I recommend that the customer stay very engaged in the planning. The installation teams were quite good. They were all Vietnamese, not all of whom spoke English. But each team of two included a lead person with decent English skills. They were careful carrying the equipment through the house, and cleaned up each evening before leaving. I was impressed that Central Air could be installed with only minimal disturbance to the house. I have some paint touch up to do, but other than that it was quite low impact. My central air was installed in the winter, so I haven't had a chance to use it yet. I don't expect any issues, but am confident that they will be responsive should any arise.

A few days before the work started all the materials were delivered. The gentlemen were very careful when carrying all the materials in. On Monday Chin and Ky arrived on time and started to work right away. They covered my rugs with drop cloths. The first thing they started to do was locate where the ducts would go and started to drill the holes. While one drilled the other held the shop vacuum. They were as neat as could be. For the next two and a half days they moved the heater to the center of the attic and connected ducts to all the rooms. It was a noisy, messy, and a very difficult job; but they were here on time every day and stayed until 5 and 6 o'clock every night. It was very difficult to get heat ducts to some of the rooms but they were creative and determined to do so. I had several other estimates that were somewhat more money and they told me that they would not be able to get ducts into some of the rooms.

They worked for 3 days straight. They were careful with all of my belongings while moving them. They gave me a discount of several hundred dollars off for having work done in December. They also gave me a list of references of other customers that they have serviced in my area. They were respectful, polite, they tried to stay out of my way, and they came on time. They made sure that I knew what was going on and they cleaned up very well. They did make a mess outside that they thought they would clean up on the third day, but they cleaned it up immediately after I realized that my puppy had had a chance to eat the material.

The service was thorough and complete, and the rep answered all questions.

I was not impressed with the consultation. I thought it was much too short and seemed superficial. He did measure the house but didn't look at the furnace very long. He wanted to install two furnaces.

A very stressful experience that could have been less so with more specific communication prior to the installer taking irreversible steps. I had to insist on service immediately after to correct a hazardous installation. However, the system is now running well, and I'm finding this type of cooling to be very comfortable. They ran the tubes as inconspicuously as possible. I caution anyone considering this company to make sure the supervisor(engineer)comes to the site 2-3 times a day and explain in detail how they will proceed. The installer is skilled but not much invested in customer satisfaction, and does not speak much English. The price was competitive. They could have prevented much of the heavy dust on my belongings by covering things up with more care.

I originally called the company at 5:00PM on the day I needed service. I was informed I could get service that night but the basic charge would be increased because it was after hours. I agreed but was called back in 20 minutes and told none of the technicians were answering their phones and I would now have to wait till the next day. In general, I thought the company did a good job but I felt that even the day rate basic service charge of $89 was too expensive.

They were on time, got the job done in the estimated time, and came right out to fix it when we had a little trouble after the work was done. They were very reliable and listened to all our concerns.

We generally had a very positive experience. First, our house feels lovely and cool in this muggy heat! Also, in contrast to my usual experience with contractors, the company was very professional - punctual, cleaned up debris and straightened up each day, came back to my house quickly when I had a small issue after installation. The installation process was surprisingly unobtrusive. They are a little on the expensive side, and could have done a better final clean-up (e.g. mop the layer of grime on my 2nd floor from the work), but overall highly recommended.

The company badmouthed the effect of a booster-fan and suggested addition of a heat-pump. When we specifically asked for an estimate to install the booster fan, they quoted $660.00 (My husband, an electrical engineer and I, with no technical expertise, ended up doing the installation in about 3 hours - it has greatly improved the heat-flow). My impression was, that although formally the company was professional, they were not trustworthy, trying to get us to opt for a more expensive alternative than was necessary.

BEGAN JOB AT 1:30, COMPLETED JOB 2:15. ABOUT 45 MIN. COST FOR ABOVE WORK $70, SERVICE CHARGE $89 = $159. EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS REPAIR EXPERIENCE WAS FINE (EXCELLENT) EXCEPT FOR THE PRICE WHICH WORKED OUT TO $159 FOR 45 MINUTES. I SUPPOSE THIS IS THE GOING RATE IN 2005, BUT IT SEEMS A TAD HIGH TO ME. FOR EXAMPLE MY CARDIOLOGIST CHARGES ME $70 FOR A 25-30 MINUTE OFFICE VISIT, PLUS $50 FOR AN EKG. I CANNOT DETERMINE WHETHER (UNIQUES') THIS IS A FAIR PRICE OR NOT.

I HAVE FOUND UNIQUE STAFF TO ALL BE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND COMPETENT. THE PHONE PEOPLE ARE VERY POLITE AND DON'T KEEP YOU ON HOLD. THE SERVICE PEOPLE ARE ON TIME, PROFESSIONAL, CLEAN AND DON'T LEAVE UNTIL THE JOB IS DONE.

ERIC WAS GREAT. HE SPENT 1-2 HOURS CHECKING THE SYSTEM AND GIVING US A QUOTE. HE WAS CLEAN AND PROFESSIONAL, AND SO WAS HIS CREW. I RECEIVED QUOTES THAT WERE HALF AS MUCH, BUT THOSE COMPANIES DIDN'T SEEM TO KNOW MUCH ABOUT THEIR EQUIPMENT AND BARELY LOOKED AT THE HOUSE TO PERFORM THE QUOTE. I'M VERY HAPPY WITH CHOOSING UNIQUE. THE ONLY DOWN SIDE WAS THEY PUSHED BACK THE INSTALLATION A DAY AT 4:00 PM THE DAY BEFORE. THAT IS WHY I GAVE THEM A B IN PUNCTUALITY.
