This guy doesn't know what he's doing! He tried to steer us away from a high-efficiency system. At one point he even said that he couldn't have a pipe vent with a vertical bend for a couple of feet because it could go up only three inches per foot, when everyone else confirmed that that's the minimum but not maximum pitch for a vent. This is a young kid who has been given a bunch of sales brochures, but doesn't know the range of products that he could install or offer. I didn't trust him at all.

The actual installation was done while I was out of town on business. My wife dealt with everything. There were some performance issues that they are trying to rectify. The actual installation was impeccable. They worked their tails off and never left any mess. If some sort of a complication would come up they would always seem to come up with the right answer. I have recommended them to my neighbors and I would use them again. There is some sort of faulty component that they are actually trying to fix right now, but that was not there problem. It was a faulty part. I am happy with them.

It was excellent. They came within two days of my call. They did their work in a very timely fashion and they did their best to do the work as fast as possible. They were very professional and honest. They did not try to sell us things that we did not need.

They were able to get it in very quickly and I have not had any problems with it. They arrived promptly and finished on time. One thing however is that they didn't inform me of a potential rebate option that I had from Piko Electric.

After a while Dino said, "All done, the system is working again but you need a part. The crank case heater was bad and was shorting out the system, I bypassed it til' we get the part." I said great, okay. He wrote a bill and asked me for a check for $250. I was a bit surprised because I thought I was paying $89 for them to come out and give me an evaluation and estimate. I figured if they were charging me more than the $89 they would have told me, but hey, my A/C was working, and they were going to get the part I needed. The next day they called and said, "Oh, we have your part we'd like to come out and put it in" I said, "Great" The person from the office then said, "By the way, did Dino give you an estimate," I said no. He said, "Oh, it will be $300." I said, "What???? You charged me $250 yesterday and want to charge me $300 today? Are you kidding?" I quickly looked up the part on the Internet and found it for $63.75" and said, so this part is about $70 bucks and your are charging me 200 bucks to put it in???" I talked to two other A/C people and and they thought it was outrageous - 1)most companies - the initial service fee goes toward the work.. etc. 2) it takes about 3 minnutes to put in a crank case heater. etc

Other companies proposed more expensive replacement of the outdoor and indoor air conditioning units. Unique provided a quote for replacing the outdoor unit only after inspecting the indoor unit and finding it in good condition. This saved me a lot of money compared with the other quotes. Additionally, they came out and completed the work within two days. It has been running for most of the summer with no problems, and it is definitely quieter than my previous unit.

They were great! They called and let us know when they were coming. They were there less than a day. We had three bids. They were the cheapest, as well as being the most knowledgeable.

The guy was very punctual. He was very courteous. He did his work in half the time that they estimated, and I thought they did a nice job. Everything worked out fine. They actually had to change my appointment because they had so many customers but to squeeze me in they made an extra effort and came out on a Saturday.

After having 2 other companies come and try and fix my airconditioning problem. I called this company to give details of my problem before asking for a service call. Steve called me back within a few hour and gave me detailed information on what to do and try before I asked for a service call. He was very explicit and he sounded like he was very experienced. When I do need service I will call again.

They were very professional. They clean up after themselves as they go. They where booties into your house so they don't get it dirty. They are not noisy at all.

After a year of failed service calls with another vendor, I called Unique to get an estimate on fixing my Lennox furnace. After some quick analysis, they found that my previous HVAC technician was just replacing parts and not actually diagnosing the problem. Mike & Angel ended up finding that my furnace was wired wrong and that was most likely the reason for my failed parts. After they re-wired everything correctly, my heat, a/c and fan now work properly as they should! The whole house actually is now cooling like it should as well!! Thanks guys!

Overall - great. The sales rep who came out to my house was very knowledgeable and professional. He doubted with my existing duct work that the a/c would cool the 3rd floor, so he suggested that I get a portable a/c unit for the third floor (he could've attempted to sell me a whole new duct system, but didn't). The installers were great - very professional and cleaned up well. They were a little late getting here by about an hour, but wasn't that big of a deal because they ended up finishing ahead of schedule. The only thing I will say was a negative with this company was that the scheduling could have gone a little smoother. They said that there was a possibility of their starting on Friday afternoon, but at the latest, Saturday. I expected to hear from them Friday morning, but didn't hear from them until late Friday afternoon. They said they couldn't start until Monday. I had canceled plans for Saturday during the day with the expectation that they were coming out then, so I was a little unhappy about that. Also, they had a foreman come out to survey the job and he was supposed to pick up the signed contract, which he neglected to do. I got at least 3 phone calls about getting this to them, as if it were my responsibility to get it to them after their guy forgot to pick it up. Other than that, overall good experience, and honestly, I can't complain too much, after all, I got central a/c for $2800!

Great Experience. Mario and colleague (apologies for not having his name) arrived within the 1-hour window. Immediately upon entering the home, staff placed shoe covers over their boots. Diagnosed the failure by tracing an electrical problem; could not be sure w/o replacing parts (>$200); offered to restore my old parts if the swap did not fix the problem. Extremely conscientious: traced the failure to the breaker box. Replaced the circuit breaker; tried different breakers before finding a satisfactory fit (I would not have noticed a loose fit). Mario heard arcing in the breaker upon restarting the furnace. He pointed out the problem, recommended an electrician for safety; gratis, performed a quick repair to panel on breaker box. Opened the furnace to inspect for cracks, rusting, warping; explained tradeoffs between repairing this 20+yr old furnace v. repair. Did not push for a new system.

They were really nice and they did a good job. In fact, when they came out to give the estimate, the underestimated the cost and they had to send out two extra guys, who came out the same day, and they didn't charge more! They forgot to hook the pump up, but we called them and they were very apologetic and came right away and fixed it on my schedule. That being, I would use them again.

They had given me some when they installed the original components, but they sent me extra. All I had to do was ask! They also cautioned me to the number of vents that could be blocked for safety measures.

I would use them in the future if I needed a brand new system.

It went very well. They responded my telephone inquiry in a timely and professional manner. The technician came to my house at the time they had promised. He provided the service and gave me some tips for the maintenance of the furnace.

They took care of everything in a timely fashion so we were able to enjoy it all summer long. They did a good job of working around the other contractors we had in the house at the time of our remodel.

Steve Jordan checked out what I have. Gave me some good ideas about dealing with current problems and pretty much advised against upgrading right now. He was very thorough, informative and honest. Educated me very well about what I have now and what is available in terms of functionality, price, and trade-offs.

They always answer their phones and are very responsive to my needs. In fact, they made multiple visits to my home when I had questions. I was even offered references from other people they have worked with in the past before they even started any work.

Unique does an outstanding job with follow up after their work to make sure that everything is working properly and that I am satisfied with the work. They do excellent work and are knowledgeable. I feel like they could have possibly been cheaper but the quality of work was worth the money.

I had several conversations with Paul Bistline, who did a great job of explaining the ins and outs of heating and cooling.

Our air conditioner failed in June. I selected Unique on Angie's List and spoke with Paul, who promptly scheduled a meeting. He was right on time, and we discussed the situation. Paul was knowledgeable and patient, and after reviewing several proposals, we chose Unique and spoke with Mark at their office, who sent Dan out to spec the job and schedule the work. There was some confusion about the work schedule when Mark was out of the office for a day, but Unique went out of their way to get the condenser and complete the job by the end of the day on a Friday just before a heat wave hit. We are very happy with our new air conditioner. The installers, Sean and Wayne, were very polite, neat, clean, unobtrusive and professional. Unique was flexible on the price when presented with a lower bid by a competitor. My only suggestion would be to be proactive and communicate with them early and often. Overall, we are highly satisfied with Unique.

Adam was the salesperson and job supervisor; he responded and followed up quickly. The job began in the 2-day start date window and finished in three days, as promised. Adam was on-site once each day to check in, and available by cell. The service techs, Minh & Chuong, were professional, courteous, responsive, thorough, hard working and pleasant. Every work area was cleaned upon completion, all debris was removed, and the house was put in order at the end of each day. They just finished today, and I'm to expect a technician in the next day or so to check in on how the system is operating.
