Description of Work: Bought an Angies List Big Deal @ $49 for maintenance check on A/C and another @$49 for maintenance on our heater. The company that came out was Sila. Punctual, respectful, professional and quality service. As I stated above I spent $288. However, $190 was for a year warranty on my A/C. Overall, I'm pleased with Sila company.

Description of Work: Honored the service contract and came out on the weekend to fix a heater fan.. Since the part was a special order they needed to come in few days for an actual repair but the on call tech did come around midnight on a weekend to diagnose and troubleshoot. Good quality job. No charge as per contract

Description of Work: Our AC went overnight after heavy storms. I called Sila because of their high reviews and early hours of operation, 7am. Connie saved my the service visit fee of $89 by helping me trouble shoot the problem. She told me to check the circuit breaker and low and behold the switch was tripped. I reset the breaker and the AC came back to life. I really appreciate the help an honesty.

Description of Work: They were on time. Serviced the AC indoor and outside. Cleaned the outside of the unit. Since then I've had them for the heater in the fall and the AC again for the spring 2012.

Description of Work: I received an email offer from Angie's List for a Furnace Clean and Check with Sila Heating & Air Conditioning. I set up the appointment, they were able to come out on the day I requested, a Saturday. This was great since I work during the weekdays. Frank Peterson arrived in the scheduled 2hr window and cleaned & inspected the furnace. He explained everything he was doing and even showed me how one of the parts worked and how it was starting to wear out. He was very professional & knowledgeable. I will definitley be contacting Sila again soon to replace the ailing part. Overall a great experience.

Description of Work: I bought the Angie's List Big Deal for annual maintenance for $79. Called them shortly after buying it. The person who answered the phone was pleasant & helpful, and scheduled the work within days at a time that was convenient for me. They gave me a two hour window of when they would show up, and arrived well within that time. The office called me shortly before the technician arrived to let me know he was on his way to my home. The technician, Saki K. arrived, and was professional and courteous. He put on the boot covers so as not to track dirt into our home. Saki provided the maintenance, and also labeled shut off valves, etc. for the both the boiler and the hot water heater (which he was not servicing that day). We bought the service plan as we just bought the home and are unfamiliar with the previous care given to the boiler, and they applied the $79 we had paid for the Angie's Big Deal, to the price we paying for the service plan. It was a very good experience. They were efficient, professional, and seemed like a very well run organization, with an emphasis on customer service. Will definitely continue to use them. ETA: We bought the service plan in the fall. We started having problem with the boiler valve leaking. Called and was able to have someone come out within the week, per my schedule. The technician Dennis came out, was professional and pleasant. The auto feeder was replaced. All parts and labor were no charge because of the service plan, which paid for itself. We have been really happy with their work both in the fall and again recently in the spring. Happy we chose them so far.

Description of Work: I had brought a Big Deal for a furnace maintainance for $69 each for 2 furnaces i have in my house. I e-mailed them on Saturday to schedule an appointment and they called me on monday morning to see if i was available for monday to have service done. Greg came in for a service and found that blower inducer on one of furnaces was loose and needed to be replaced as it was making a humming noise. He called their service department and told them to order the part to replaced as it will be covered under my warranty. Greg was very proffesional and polite and answered all my questions that i had. I would definately recommend them to my friends and other family members for their HVAC Maintainance needs

Description of Work: I bought 2 vouchers from Angie's List because I have 2 separate units. The serviceman came out to check my 2 zone heater/air systems in the spring. He was very clean, professional and prompt. He recommended that I change the 1 filter on my upstairs system, which I have to order by mail. He would have done it for me if they were available. I would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: I had my old heating system (at least 23 years old) replaced with a new and extremely efficient heater. The entire crew was polite, professional, and efficient. They came in on time and left on time. If you didn't know I was having my heater replaced, there was no evidence left behind by this crew. Considering there was a lot of soot, this in itself was an accomplishment. The Project Manager, Adam Kroungold, was excellent and he followed the installation to completion. It only took one day and my original heating system and access to remove it were a serious challenge but the crew did an excellent job. I've spent an entire winter with the system and I'm impressed at the quickness with which my radiators heat up. This is a miracle to me because only half of the radiators in certain rooms would heat up and that would take what seems like forever when you house is cold. Now, heat goes on, heat in the radiators. If there hadn't been an energy crisis last winter, I'm sure I would have been able to really appreciate a reduction in the cost of heating oil; but, maybe this winter. At any rate, I'm happy and satisfied and I hope it lasts for 20 years. I would highly recommend Sila.
