Excellent job! Called in at first for the repair after a plumbing leak/repair, we also had him do additional work because of his expertise and price. Such quality and care! Thank you Mr. Schwartz. I highly recommend him. From high ceilings to working around difficult areas he's an expert.

The hole was floor to ceiling resulting from a repair to a leaking pipe. The work was completed in one day. The repair was smooth and looked good and he repaired some minor damage to an adjacent wall.

Steve responded to my initial phone message very promptly (within an hour). He said he could inspect the job on Sunday and give an estimate. He came to the house when he said he would, inspected the job, and gave his estimate of $1625 for the two-day project. We accepted his estimate, and he set up a date to begin, He was able to fit it into a Tuesday and a Thursday-- days I had off work and could be home. He and his son did a wonderful job of removing the damaged plaster and preparing the area on Tuesday and applying the new plaster on Thursday. They cleaned up very thoroughly! Both men were friendly and considerate of the rest of the house. They were wonderful and I recommend them highly.

I received an answer to my email withing 24 hours. Steve called back and he was very nice and professional. I sent him a picture of the damage so he could get an idea of the damage. Steve called me back right away with a tentative estimate on the cost. We made an appointment then. Steve and his assistant showed up at the agreed time. They were professional and kind. His price didn't change from the estimate. All the work was done in a timely manner and they cleaned up after themselves. I have some other work that needs to be done and will be calling him.

I'm giving Steve Schwartz an A+. He called back same day as I left message. Scheduled me the following week for the work. Did a beautiful job. He is a real professional at what he does.

We required plastering work because of fairly significant water damage to the ceilings and walls to several rooms of our one hundred year plus Queen Anne Victorian home. Steve was great! We were in the process of preparing our home for sale and Mr. Schwartz made every effort to fit us into his schedule as soon as he could, doing the job both well and affordably. I knew I was dealing with someone who was trustworthy and honest, and he would not do work that was not necessary or beyond the scope of what was required, yet he would not skimp on anything that was necessary. He showed up when he said he would both when meeting to see the work that needed to be done and on the day to start the job. On top of all of that, he got the job done in one day! Considering the extent of the damage he had to address, the craftsmanship that is involved and that there are not a lot of contractors who specialize in this work, I think his charges were very reasonable and well-earned. You get what you pay for, and Mr. Schwartz is worth it.

It went very well. He arrived when he said he would and performed the repairs as he described. He gave me instructions on how to treat the repaired areas.

Steve returned my phone call within 20 minutes. We set up an appointment time for him to take a look and give an estimate. He was right on time. I could tell he knew what he was doing. He gave me a price for the ceiling and offered to fix a little damaged area in the hall nearby along with the ceiling. I showed him another spot in the house that could use some work - he said he could patch it but it would be a temp fix and probably not worth it, that the plaster was in good enough shape to stay as is for time being. A true fix would require total redo which would be more $$ but as he said, structurally not necessary at this time. He got me in his schedule within days, got the job done within hours and the ceiling looks brand new. Left the kitchen as clean as possible. Would absolutely hire him again. A pleasure doing business with him. All home repair experiences should be so nice!

The project was going to be a messy one from the start, and Steve and his team did a good job minimizing the mess. More importantly, they took the time to make needed structural improvements so that when the ceiling was replaced, it was stable and looked SIGNIFICANTLY better than when they had started the work. Although there ended up being additional work to stabilize the ceiling that they hadn't counted on, they stuck to their original estimate and timeline, completing the work in the three days they promised, from demo through to complete installation and sanding of all drywall. Another important point to note is that Steve and his team worked around our schedule, as this replacement allowed us to do some additional electrical work while the ceiling was down, so they were flexible with their schedule. I would recommend Steve and his team for any plaster needs you may have, as they know what they are doing and take the time to do the job right.

After having a major plumbing job become even bigger and requiring two large holes be cut in our walls, we needed to find someone to patch the holes. Since the house is older and our walls are plaster, our preference was to fix the holes with plaster in keeping with the house. Contacted Steve by phone, sent him two (2) photographs plus measurements of the areas that needed to be fixed, and a few hours later he came back with a quote. Scheduling was a breeze, Steve showed up on time, and completed the job in the time expected. He and his son were neat, and cleaned up after themselves. And most importantly, they did a great job. Once repainted (by an excellent painter Steve recommended), you would never know that the walls had had major holes in them. Completely satisfied and would not hesitate to use Steve again. One quick comment, I would say call him versus email him. I have had very poor luck emailing contractors via Angie's list, but have always gotten a response to calls.

My rating is based on the unprofessional lack of response to two emails. I was very interested in using this person for plaster repair as the reviews reflected the type of work we needed done. Over a two week period I sent two emails through Angie's List about getting an estimate and work being done. Steve has never responded to either of them. Can't say much for communication on their end.

Quick response, good work, protected floor with drop cloth and cleaned up well afterwards. Would definitely reuse his services again.

He then called to confirm the time and date he would come and arrived exactly on time. He had lots of drop cloths and covered everything, and then vacuumed when he was finished. He is a pleasure to work with! I highly recommend him.

Excellent scores in all aspects, including exactly on time, careful with covering areas where plaster removed and repaired. He cleaned up perfectly and the finished work timely and as promised. Although at the top price of what I would consider for the time spent, I also think it was worth it, given all the factors.

The work loos like it's original and he took all of the crown molding and put it back up very neatly and did a reasonably good job of cleaning up after himself but with plaster it's almost impossible but he did a really beautiful job. We were away, we weren't even there to check on him and he did a great job.

He took maticulous care to make sure every detail was prepped. He did an excellent job. He covered my furniture and made sure I wouldn't have any dust or dirt on it. He was on time. Very friendly.

Steve was prompt, courteous, gave a reasonable estimate, and did excellent work. The total cost was exactly what he had said at the outset.

Mr. Schwartz did an excellent job in repairing the water damaged bedroom ceiling and wall. He also repaired the heavily cracked ceiling and top of the wall in my upstairs hallway. Arrived on time and was courteous and professional. Worked was completed by noon and he cleaned up nicely before leaving. I would highly recommend Steve G. Schwartz Plastering and plan to hire him for additional work in my home.
