Description of Work: Plaster work in 3 different rooms. Good work but our computer mouse got broken during the time he was doing work and he did not take responsibility. It cost us 84.79 to replace it.

Description of Work: Work ok but left a big mess that my kitchen contractor had to deal with. He did work with my timeline for other projects. He recommended a painter that had too high of a quote whom I never used and would not recommend--Roy A Smith--quote double the painter I did use that was great.

Description of Work: I called and spoke with Steve - had a hole in the office ceiling due to a leak in the bathroom. Steve gave me an estimate over the phone and said he could do the work the very next day. The work was explained and they were so careful not to have any dust etc around the house. Professional, polite and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Description of Work: Mr. Schwartz replied promptly to our phone call regarding repair of a wall on which the old-style plaster (lathe and plaster)need to be replaced/repaired. The price quoted and agreed upon was within our budget. He and his staff arrived promptly on the day and time agreed upon; the damaged wall so repaired so nicely that one can't see the seam between the repaired part and the part that didn't need to be repaired. He covered the rugs with dropcloths and cleaned up all work traffic areas. We are pleased with his work and would recommend him.

Description of Work: Mr. Schwartz was the only company that told me that I did not need extensive renovation work following water damage to three walls in two of my bedrooms. He was prompt, courteous and above all else honest and fair. I appreciate him not trying to take advantage of a novice like me. I will recommend him to all of my friends and family. I'm very happy with the work performed (plastering) and I feel like I saved a great deal of money!

+ -1 moreSteve and one of his workers did the job. We checked in with them in the morning and/or afternoon but they were unsupervised during the day. We were unpleasantly surprised to see that they were very, very messy and inconsiderate of the property and despite regular reminders and discussions there was no change in their work habits. They did not put down any covering when they cut out old, loose plaster and did not thoroughly clean up the old plaster. There were big blobs and splatters of plaster that were left to dry on the base boards and trim. Plaster was splattered on walls that were across the room from areas that were supposed to be repaired. The quality of the plastering was fair, at best, since it was rough in areas and not ready for painting. Needless to say, we did not call him back to complete the last portion of the job.
Description of Work: Replastered large sections of walls and ceilings that were damaged as a result of renovations in our 1920s home. Steve responded quickly to our call to get an estimate for the work. We got individual estimates for 4 areas of the house with the entire job estimated to cost about $5000. Steve completed 3 of 4 of the areas in 7 days for a cost of about $4000. We had originally planned to have him come back to complete the rest of the job after further renovations were completed.

Steve was working some bigger jobs in my area so he worked in my job very quickly. He also called after the job was done to make sure I was pleased and gave me some advice on painting the plaster.
Description of Work: I had some cracks that needed repairing before I painted. Normally, I do a lot of work myself but I was not sure on how to match the 1940’s textured plaster finish of my home.

+ -1 moreWhile his quality of work was good, he was repeatedly asked to be more conscientious about clean-up; continued to be very messy, and inconsiderate, causing damage to newly sanded floors and doors.
Description of Work: Did an excellent job cutting out a damaged area on a plaster wall/ceiling and replacing with plaster; removed old paneling and repaired walls for repainting. The cost was almost twice the estimate because the wall underneath the paneling was in bad shape. The work took 3 days.

+ -1 moreThis was one of the few plaster companies that came to look at the work to give an estimate. His price was great - others quoted more than twice as much without even looking. We booked him for the next week - he arrived on time and worked quickly, and prevented the mess as much as possible. The repair job looks good.
Description of Work: We hired this company to repair cracked/crumbling plaster and lathe cathedral ceiling in my mother's living room. There was one major area of repair right above the fireplace, and without us asking, he also patched several other small areas and cracks. He tried his best to match the existing texture of the walls.
