We had a sewage smell in the house. Two workers came to look at the problem. They couldn't find an obvious cause, but suggested we have the sewer line inspected and try to look at the stack to see if had somehow become clogged. Because we weren't sure it was a blocked sewer line and the inspection was expensive, we decided to hold off and call a couple others for a second opinion. While they were there, we asked them to fix a leaky faucet and look at a possible leak in a lead sink drain and get an estimate for replacing it. Several other plumbers came out and could not or would not figure it out, so we called Wexler to come back, despite the fact that they charge a fee just to show up. They came to use a fiber optic camera to inspect the sewer line from our basement to the street to see if there was a clog. When he saw the cast iron sewer line in the basement, the foreman pointed out an old inspection/clean out plate and noted that the wax seal was basically gone. He was fairly certain that was the problem, but we decided to pay to have the whole line inspected anyway, since we had to pay a minimum for them to come out anyway. It turned out to be a good thing since though there was no clog, they found a loose junction between waste line and street sewer. When the inspection was done, he replaced to old plate seal and the problem seems to be fixed. We also had them clear two downspout-to-storm-water pipes while they were out and they both work fine now. They were great at explaining their work, listening to us when we described the problem, and discussing openly their ideas about possibles causes , all of which was very appreciated- many contractors come in and hardly look at you, let alone let you participate in troubleshooting. I called Wexler because colleague recommended them as "expensive, but the best". Sounds right. Estimates for repairing the lead line and loose sewer junction seemed very high, and the on the spot estimate for fixing the sewer junction was way lower than a revised one which made me think they do very good work, they do it right and they charge as much as they can.

My husband called Sam Wexler at 7 am and spoke to Misty to see if someone could come out that day to replace the kitchen faucet. Misty said that, yes, we could have someone out between 1 and 4 pm. My husband told Misty that our cleaning lady, who is Polish and does not speak English fluently, would be there and to please tell the person coming over she would be cleaning that day. Pat arrived at the house around 2 pm, and called me to let me know he was there, and would call me when the faucet was in. He told me the price and said that if he got it in faster, he could save me some money! I thanked him and told him to take what time he needed, and if it did go smoothly, all the better! A little after 3 pm, Pat called me back. The faucet was in and running, and he was taking the old set with him. He asked Anna to sign the receit after the charges were handled over the phone with me, and he was on his way! I would recommend Sam Wexler plumbing to anyone who asks! My husband had golf, and I had work, and with our permission, Pat went to our home and did the work. I am very pleased we had this issue handled promptly! There is nothing worse than a kitchen sink that is not working. Thanks, Pat!

After calling another provider only to learn that their idea of "emergency" work left something to be desired, I found Sam Wexler Plumbing on Angie's List and called because they are local to my area. The call was answered on the second ring. I explained my situation to a very friendly woman who said that she was pretty sure they could come out today ( Saturday) to fix the problem, and she'd call me back. She ended up calling me back twice: first to say that yes, they could do the work, and second, to give me an approximate arrival time. The technician, Patrick, actually showed up sooner than expected, quickly diagnosed the situation, and determined that I needed a new garbage disposal. He had one in the truck, quoted me a price and, very efficiently and smoothly, de-installed the broken one, and installed the new one. My experience with Sam Wexler Plumbing was fabulous!

We love Sam Wexlar Plumbing service, and have used their services many times in the past, including three times this year. Recently, they discovered serious water damage we didn't know about being caused by our shower fixtures. They promptly repaired that, and directed us to a good water damage company. Today, Patrick was at our house again. This time, he replaced a valve in the garage that was non-operational. It hadn't been used in quite a few years. Last week, a neighborhood dog left a little package on our driveway. I pulled out the garden hose to spray it away, only to find I couldn't open the valve. Now I have a shiny new valve, that I can take care of business with. Only one small problem. They were scheduled to come, 9 to 12. The receptionist called to say that a plumber called out, and they would be there between 12 and 3. These things happen. Usually, Wexlar comes when they say they'll come. In fact, Patrick arrived in the 12 to 3 window. Thanks Patrick and Sam Wexlar, from your loyal customers, Stephanie and Bob. We heartily recommend them for any plumbing work you need done.

Great work! Was on time. Great price. Dave did a wonderful job and was very neat and friendly. Would recommend to hire. And will be using Wexler plumbing again.

He was very prompt with service, great at solving and fixing the problem. He was moderately priced. I would use him again for the future. I would HIGHLY recommend him to others.

They did respond quickly, were on time and they did good work. I just think for what they did it was overpriced, so I would give them a C for their pricing. I had no discomfort because of my blindness, but they were very good about this, there was no hesitation to show me where to sign the paperwork, so I wanted to give them credit for this.

He was able to find out that the toilet wasn’t flushing due to a pin that was stuck. He replaced the inside of the toilet as well as the rubber ring. He cleaned up very nice.

Sam Wexler Plumbing Inc is a little pricey but they are reachable, courteous, and did an excellent job. I'm going to use them again in the future.

I had no problems with him at all. They come in and do what they have to do; they don't prolong it like some companies that come in and take a week or two and it still is not done right. He came in, gave me an estimate and said what time they would be here to do the job. He said they would be here early and do what they had to do so my wife and I were very pleased. This job was handled through my insurance.

I had a small leak in a pipe in my basement ceiling. I arranged for a plumber to come through Ameriican Home Shield (I have their insurance). They referred me to Sam Wexler Plumbing. The plumber was prompt and professional. He did what needed to be done and cleaned up afterward. There hasn't been another leak there since. I was charged my $60 "co-pay" as per my contract with AHS. Sam Wexler Plumbing didn't try to get me to pay more which was as it should have been.

Overall I am happy with the service. The plumber arrived on time and replaced the faucets without issue or a creating a mess. In addition I got a quote from them for some other work and feel the pricing is fair. I would use them again.

From the beginning, Sam Wexler Plumbing was on time and polite but broke my toilet during a drain clean out and then wanted to charge me for a $6 valve but wanted $125 for the valve. After confronting the owner, a new toilet was installed but it was the wrong fit and sat way out in the room, away from the wall. The rough in was a 12 when is should have been a 14. After several days, they did return on time and replace the toilet with the right size and even changed the bowl to better fit in my small bathroom. I would use them again. This should be added to my last review of this plumber or delete the earlier evaluation as they have made it right.

Terrible. Fight for the replacement of the toilet they broke, then over charge on cleaning of the drains, then the wrong size toilet that is sitting out in the middle of the bathroom, 6 inches off the wall. Terrible workmanship and if my wife had been told to pay $125 for a $5 dollar valve, she would have paid it, just trusting them. Don;t use this service.

They were efficient and they came right now.

They were very good, prompt, and provided a lot of information. Additionally, I had another problem, which ended up resolving itself before they came. They didn't end up charging for this, which I was happy about. Overall, I am very satisfied.

I had a good experience with him. There was a problem with the water in my flue which turned out that the original install on my heater wasn?t put in right. They just decided to cut corner and they didn?t vent it properly. Sam Wexler came by and explained to me the problem. I gave them the manual because I wasn?t sure originally what the problem was. They explained and showed to me how it wasn?t installed correctly and what I needed. I also had couple of other people come by who told me similar things, but actually proposed a much more complex solution. So I went with them because they seemed to be the simplest and easiest. Also pricewise they seemed much reasonable. They did some other stuff too while they were here. I had a paper wet for my dryer and they changed that. They also replaced some thing in my washer and dryer because it was old. I would use them again in future.
