Contractor never showed up for the appointment. I came home early from work, had my pay docked because of it, and he never showed up. He never even called to reschedule or to explain his absence. I am most upset because I lost pay at work. I will never recommend this company to anyone.

Efficient & got the job done quickly, cleaned up & left the yard in better condition. Excellent job, I am well pleased.

Charles Newhouse of Newhouse Contracting called us back the same day. He was able to meet with us to see what needed done and gave us a written estimate and timeline for our repairs. We were pleased both with the cost and the Mr. Newhouse's knowledge and understanding of what needed to be done. When the day of the repair came, he and his crew were on time, they were very professional, and the repairs were done in one day. They were respectful of our property and the job site was clean and our soffit and fascia and new gutters look great! He also clearly explained everything that was done. We are very pleased with Newhouse Contracting and would not hesitate to call on them again.

Chuck and his crew did a great job.They were on time everyday and cleaned up before they left for the day.He was to start on the 10th but due to weather couldn't start untill the24th.I hope any one who reads this understand's outdoor contractors are at the mercy of the weather.His practice of not covering up problems (replaced damaged wood)and attention to detail will have me recommened his company.

Mr. Newhouse was prompt and courteous showing up at the time he said he would. Completed job in 2 days without incident. All work was exceptional.

The owner, Chuck, has now been out to see us twice. He arrived promptly both times and worked my problem instead of me! After interview several companies it became clear to me that finding the right guy for the job is not necessarily an easy task, even with Angie's List. This company was recommended by a friend and a search of Angie's list did not yield many reviews. His estimate was right in the middle price point of everyone else and as I mentioned before, he worked my problem. He is going to remove the existing shingles, replace the bottom plywood, install new OSB 7/16 over top my existing 3/8 plywood to make it sturdier, install new gutter apron and drip edge, replace crumbling chimney cap, install new gutters and downspouts, lay new Certainteed shingles, new ridge vent, and R-19 insulation in my entire attic space. My house is a split level entry and does not have much insulation at present (about 6" of loose fill type). He recommended not going overboard with insulation due to the fact that too much could cause more problems in the long run. I need storage space in the attic and laying r-19 rolls in the attic seemed a good compromise. Additionally, my attic needs proper ventilation. He is going to clean my soffit overhang and if necessary cut open the vents as needed if they aren't open already. I have significant ice damning in the rear and this along with proper installation of a gutter apron and ice guard should solve the problems by reducing the ice damning and providing a proper water barrier. As I said, I have gone through many estimates and schemes to address my problem. This company was the only one that tried to work my problem with me instead of trying to either sell me bill of goods or ignore me and my concerns altogether. It is amazing how many of these companies will not listen to your concerns! My install is to commence early April and I will update when it is completed. ----------------------------------------------- 4/24/2013 My new roof is now complete and Newhouse Contracting did a superb job. Chuck and his crew did a professional and superb job with my roof. They took the time to do it right and cleaned up well afterwards. They used a barrier to catch as much of the old roof as possible which helped keep nails and debris out of my yard. I am thoroughly impressed. Again to remind you, they laid new insulation in the attic, poured new chimney cap, removed old roof, repaired water damaged plywood, laid over one side of roof with new sheets of plywood, installed new Certainteed Shingle roof with ice barrier and 30 lb. felt paper, Installed ridge vent, installed drip edge, installed gutter apron, installed new gutters and downspouts, installed new facia board, opened up completely closed soffit vents in front of house by cutting new holes and removing insulation above it. This all was done for $9720. The original estimate was $9000 and the increase was due to new materials to install new facia and cut open airways in soffit area. This was unforeseen at the time of original estimate. Chuck was honest and very personable. I already have him coming back to do new shutters on the front of my house. A++ work!

They came out for an esitamte and actually climbed up on the roof to inspect the problem. He took pictures and showed me what was wrong and gave me a complete estimate for the work needed. The cost was reasonable and he came out promptly to complete the work which included removing a gutter, installing flashing that was missing, correctly reinstalling the gutter and then he patched several small nail holes in the roof. I also asked him to seal a number of flashing holes that hornets were entering and he did so at no additional cost. We had another company come oput for an estimate and that person didn't even come with a ladder to inspect the problem. That person's estimate was much higher. I will use this company for all future roof repair and I highly recommned their services.
