We highly recommend Newhouse Contracting for you roofing work. They did a fantastic job from start to finish. They did a thorough and meticulous job with our complex roofing issues and the property was kept nail and shingle free throughout the entire process. The siding work looks amazing and they went the extra mile by carefully matching it to the older and original siding, maintaining the look of our 80 year old home. The business owner went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and answered our many questions. Excellent roofing company!!

On my main roof, the wood decking under the shingles had started to delaminate, enough so that I had to have a hole patched previously. The next year, I contacted several contractors to replace all of the wood decking on main roof plus shingles on main, garage and porch roofs. One contractor said he never takes the old wood off, just lays over top of the old, deterioating wood. While that is the quickest, cheapest approach, it didn't seem like the right way to do it. Newhouse Contracting bid to take all of the wood decking off main roof. They were not the cheapest or most expensive bid. Chuck Newhouse struck me as honest and reliable. He and his crew did a very nice job. In the months since it was completed, I have found maybe 5 nails, which is pretty good for a job of that size. I would definitely recommend Newhouse Contracting.. Some of my neighbors were impressed by the work they did and planned to contact Newhouse for roofing work.

Extremely well. The crew was professional and polite. They came out on Thanksgiving morning before the next rain storm that was forecast, fixed everything and cleaned up. I was pleasantly surprised they worked on Thanksgiving and they took care not to crush any plants in my flower bed which I thoroughly appreciated.

Provided a clear, concise idea of our problem and a proposed solution. Actually completed the work much sooner than anticipated. The job was done professionally, the crew was awesome and the final work was of the highest quality. Can't recommend Newhouse Contracting enough.

Chuck responded to my email the same day and came to inspect my roof quickly. He provided a free and fair estimate to replace the shingles, seal pipes, secure other loose shingles and clean the gutters while they were up there. he had a team come the same day and the three man team had it all done lickety-split. The workers were very polite and hard working. I have newhouse contractors in my address book now and won't hesitate to use them if I need work done in the future.

Charles (owner) and crew where great. Did a wonderful job.Charles answered all of my questions and concerns. When the job was finished, they cleaned up like they were never there. I did not see materials left behind. I felt very comfortable with Charles during our get together. What Charles and I discussed, he does. Man of his words.

I contacted Newhouse and received a call back within 24 hours. We scheduled time for an inspection of some areas which I had some previous issues (vent caps) and a nail which was causing a indoor leaking issue. Chuck promptly came for an estimate within a day or two. He told me what my issues were and that I did not need a new roof but just a few minor repairs. His crew showed up within 2 days and worked on a Sunday to get this job done while I was home. CHuck also provided the name of a plaster repair service which I will be using to fix the issue I had inside now that they have fixed the problem on the roof. I will also be contacting Chuck about some gutter issues I am having. I would recommend Chuck to anyone who needs roofing repairs.

The gentleman responded quickly to my request to schedule a free estimate and was honest that he would not be able to help me out. I appreciate the fact that he responded and did not just leave me hanging.

They came out and did everything that needed repaired on my roof.

I called to get an estimate to clean the gutters on my old 3 story farm house. They called back later that evening and came the next day to do the estimate. Then they came a week later and did the work. They arrived with a crew of 4. Cleaned all of our gutters in 15 minutes. They all were kind, polite, and professional. Cleaned everything up and told us to let them know how they worked. All the gutters are clear of all debris and we don't have a waterfall on the back of house when it rains any more! They did a fantastic job, we will definitely use them again!

He was very professional and I liked them quite a bit. He told me exactly what it was that he planned on doing and it made perfect sense. I am quite happy with him so far. I had to wait a few days before he came out.

Mr Newhouse called on a Sunday evening to tell us he would be here on Tuesday morning. He and his crew were here promptly that morning. He has a very dedicated crew working for him. They are a no nonsense group of men, they came to get a job done and that is exactly what they did. Our roof and gutter were completed in 2 1/2 days. Mr. Newhouse and crew were quick to respond to my call. Arrived on time, professional, knowledgeable, polite. Asked what my concerns were, inspected roof, took pictures to explain what repairs were necessary. Told me entire roof should be replaced (which I assumed. It is 22 years old). When I told him I couldn't manage that at this time, there was no arm twisting or putting the fear of a collapsing roof in me. I appreciated that he gave me a repair option, answered my questions, and gave me a time frame in which he would be back to do the work. He and his crew arrived when agreed upon, made the necessary repairs, charged exactly what was quoted, and at my request gave me an estimate for a roof when I am able to afford it. I appreciated the way they conducted business, and feel extremely comfortable calling them again.

I called Mr. Newhouse on the morning of 3/31/14 for some flashing repairs in a few areas and set up an appointment for that afternoon. Chuck was promptly there at the agreed time and checked everything out and gave his recommendations for what needed to be done. He also stated it would be a couple of weeks for there were a few folks ahead of us. I received a phone call on Tuesday evening of April 8th that he had a cancellation and wanted to know if he could come out Wednesday morning which was great. Chuck and his crew were right on time, very courteous and professional. They set things up and started working paying attention to detail. The rear chimney looks ten times better than it did before. He used more shingles than he thought on the repair work for the front chimney due to improper installation from the previous contractor. Even the Shed looks a lot better where is was repaired and everything now is water tight. My wife and I are very pleased with the work that was done and will defiantly use Newhouse Construction in the future!

This company gets A+ in all areas! They were responsive, very punctual, and fairly priced! I was impressed with their expertise. Job completed within two days of contact Chuck is a pleasure to work with.

I was advised at my first appointment that they were booked up through the winter, but that since this job could probably be done in an afternoon, if they had a change of plans, or a cancellation they would be able to fit it in, but just couldn't schedule exactly when. One day I received a call that they could repair it the next day, and I was able to work out a time when I would be able to let the team in to access the area to be repaired. All repairs were done very well, AND they cleaned my gutters, installed two missing downspouts from the higher roof above the flat roof and repaired the two front downspouts.

When Chuck came to give me an estimate, he took pictures on the roof to actually show me the problem and what needed to me done, instead of just telling me. All of my interactions with him and his crew were handled very professionally. They were very efficient. So far, my basement has remained dry.
