We were very pleased with the outcome. Jet Black responded quickly to our inquiry and came out to provide an estimate within a day of the request. They were quick, professional and clean.

They were very nice, prompt, and did a great job. I was very happy with the outcome of the work.

The three workers came out to do the work on the first day. We discussed different options for the repairs, and then chose a course of action. After the first day of work, there were some surprises. 1.) They were very sloppy. There was black top tar spilled on to our concrete sidewalk in the front of the house, near the street. It was on the main part and in the cracks of the sidewalk. I would think they could have used "painters tape" or something so that it would make a clean line and not run on to the sidewalk. It was very messy looking. And, since people walk past our house on the sidewalk, it is very unattractive. On the second visit a month later, they fixed some of this. But, still, there is some black tar leftover. And, duing the cleanup of this mess, that had to scrap the sidewalk to get it off, so it is lighter from the "sanding." 2.) As they were pounding in some patching near my garage, they chipped and cracked the concrete block foundation under my garage doors. When they were using the pounder, they missed and hit the concrete block. We have many cracks and pieces loose on the block. 3.) There were two textures/tones on the driveway. One texture/tone for the main driveway. And, one texture/tone for where the repairs are. Now, we have THREE tones. On the second visit, they used a paint-type covering to mend the repaired area to the rest of the driveway. So, we have two textures/tones near the sidewalk where some repairs were made. And, we have THREE textuers/tones near the garage. And, I have two tones near another crack repair. 4.) Some more minor sloppiness: They left tar pieces in my garage. There is a tar drip line on the driveway. The bottom line is that it is a complete mess. We have far and away the WORST driveway in our development. And, we were hoping to have one of the best after spending more money for a "quality" system/vendor. I never thought a driveway repair/resealing would be so complicated and would be screwed up so badly. I figured you hire experts for this minor stuff and they can take care of it. Now, I am on Angie's List, so I can check out some of this. I joined Angie's List to see if others had an issue with this company. I feel like I have to rip out the entire driveway and start from scratch if I want to re-sell this house some day. I'll be contacting other driveway experts to see what they make of this.

Everything went well. I would definitely use them again.

Start to finish, they did a great job. They were out to check out the job within 24hrs of us contacting them. We had other estimates, but thiers was the best price. Once we gave them the OK, it was just a matter of time waiting for the weather to clear. They called the night before and were out the next morning. Beautiful job, no hidden costs, we will defintely recomend them.

They were efficient time wise, price wise, and everything. I would recommend them to other people.

I contracted with Mr. Franlin to do this job. Unbeknownst to me, he sold the company between the time that he quoted the price and the work was done. I was not happy with the work - the cracks had not been repaired and the workers were hasty and sloppy. I finally tracked down the new owner (Paul, 215-862-1707, 64 Dutch Drive, Holland, PA 18966). He came out to the house on 7/8 and promised to do the necessary touch up work. Not hearing from him, I called again on 8/20/10 and he promised that his guys would do the work on 8/25. They never showed up. I called again, and he promised to call later that night to reschedule. He did not. On 9/7, I called again and he promised to have the work done on 9/20 and that we would receive a call the night before with a specific time that they would be here. We received no call, and once again, his folks did not show up. He has failed to respond to an e-mail that I sent yesterday. Both Kevin and Paul have been unprofessional - Kevin in not informing us of the change in ownership and Paul in not following up on a poorly done job. Had we known of the ownership change prior to the work being done, we would have gone with someone else, since it was Kevin who had been recommended to us. We only learned of the ownership change when we tried to contact Kevin to complain about the poor work.

We called for an estimate and Kevin arrived on schedule and provided us with a competitive estimate (not the lowest). After evaluating the product they use and the application we arranged a time to begin the service. Kevin and his crew arrived on time and completed the job in a very professional way. There were no spills, no puddling, no mess!! We were concerned about the brush lines left on the driveway and we were told they would go away and they did. I would personally recommend this company to anyone.

ROUTINE MAINTENANCE OF DRIVEWAY - POWERWASHED, REPAIRED MINOR CRACKS IN DRIVEWAY AND SEALED WITH BLACKTOP SEALER. PUNCTUAL, NEAT AND DID A VERY NICE JOB. PRICE SEEMED A BIT HIGH, BUT TO BE FAIR I NEVER GOT ANOTHER QUOTE BECAUSE I LIKED THE REPRESENTATIVE SO MUCH AND I LIKED THE JOB THEY DID ON SOME OF MY NEIGHBORS, SO I JUST WENT WITH THEM. NEXT TIME, I MIGHT GET ANOTHER QUOTE IF I GOT A REFERRAL, BUT I WOULD GLADLY HIRE THEM AGAIN IF THE PRICE IS EVEN A LITTLE ON THE HIGH SIDE.
