Prompt response to phone call. Arrived when scheduled and went right to work. He was able to get the right parts quickly, even though they are uncommon. I will be using Mike Leonard's Plumbing as long as I live in the area.

We were able to get an appointment within a week of calling. When they were running late, they called to let me know and then called again when they were heading my way. Joe was extrememly personable and even my dogs thought he was great! I think the biggest surprise was that Joe wore booties over his shoes while he was in the house even though it wasn't wet or nasty outside that day! The overall experience was wonderful and I will definitely call them again if we need any more plumbing work done.

We were amazed how fast and polite they were. It was a great experience and we will use then again in a heart beat.

Awoke to find small flood in one room of our basement in the first week of moving into this house. Water heater had corroded through, despite the excellent appearance of the unit. One company only had voice mail and second call was to Mike Leonard's Plumbing. The individual who answered was able to tell us that the next available crew would be at our house within 2 hours, gave us the approximate cost, including work time and the replacement unit. They arrived well within the time given, had everything managed and repaired and hauled away the failed unit in very short order. The approximate price given was $850 and the real bill was $893. You can't get much closer than that for emergency service. The crew were pleasant, professional and cleaned up as much of the water, including using a wet vac on the carpet in the neighboring room. They deserve and get an "outstanding" rating.

They do an outstanding job. We called them when we bought this house and they've been phenomenal. We've had problems where there has been mysterious leaks. They would sometimes come out for days on end to figure out the problem. In the process the things sometimes got damaged but they've completely paid for the damage. We've had problems with the well as well. The owner of the company would come out to consult with us about it and do some work on the property. Their response time and prices are great. They're professional and a wonderful company to deal with. They come in and know where they are going. They make sure everything else left clean.

I called Mike Leonard and was offered an appointment the very next day! We settled on the second day, 'first thing in the morning', (my request). The person on the phone explained their charges before hand. They sent Henry out, he was exactly on time, polite and efficient. My work was completed WITHIN THE BASIC HOUR CHARGE! He even went the extra step and caulked between the countertop and base. I would definitely use Mike Leonard plumbing again, (and will request Henry). Highly recommend them.

He happened to be doing work for somebody else in our neighborhood and we saw his name on the truck. We didn't ask our neighbors, we just called. He did a good job for us. We did have another plumber who installed it, but these people were prompt and competent. They put it in and it worked. They cleaned up after themselves. In fact, we were satisfied enough that we called them back for another job for our upstairs bathroom and they came promptly. The trouble we had with previous plumbers is when we call and leave a number nobody calls back. What's nice about Mike when we have a plumbing issue is that when we call they are absolutely responsive and fix it quickly.

There's no way it could be better. If we had a problem he came out. He even came out 9 PM on a Sunday night. If every business operated like him we'd have no problems.

MIKE LEONARD'S PLUMBING I would give Mike Leonard's Plumbing, 4 Stars! I have been using them for 10 years. The reason they are so good is that he came here and I guess when he left he forgot to turn the water back on. When I called him I thought they would just tell me how to turn the water back on. Another guy came back and took care of it and canceled the fee, he said it should had been turned on. Talk about being reliable, their service has to be of the up most. He gives me options and levels of quality that I can choose.

Upon the recommendation of the list, I hired Mike Leonard's to install two toilets. The plumber showed up on time and told me he would have to use two seals on the downstairs pipe as it is quite old. He spent about an forty-five minutes prepping the downstairs without installing the toilet. He then proceeded upstairs and disappeared for an hour and a half. I checked on his progress and he was placing the toilet and stated the downstairs would be installed in no time. The first floor toilet was installed in about half an hour. By this time I hustled my kids into the car, as I was going to be late to work. The plumber went to his van to get the bill in order. This took over twenty minutes which of course was added to the total bill. Total time to install two toilets was over three hours. This install could have been done by myself, (an amateur) in half of the time. What was really infuriating was that the plumber replaced the "guts" of a perfectly performing toilet upstairs because, "these seals TEND to leak." I asked if the seals were actually leaking and he replied, "No, we are just replacing them as a rule." I was never asked if I would like new plumbing. It was amazing that the installation of two toilets could be over $500. I appreciate paying for the time of a skilled craftsman, but this is excessive. I would have appreciated being consulted before extra work is done. For that price, I could have purchased a new toilet and had them both installed.

He fixed them correctly within the hour. He’s very clean and even wears plastic covers on his shoes to make sure he doesn’t track dirt. He also calls before he comes out to make sure we are home and he’s always on time.

I love using Mike. He is a great guy and is very knowledgeable. Simply by me saying I have used him for 8 years, you should know he's doing something right! I would highly recommend him.

They were done in an hour and a half. I paid the bill and he left. The toilet is working fine! We will use him again.

I called and asked them to coordinate with my tenants to see when they are available to let them in. They were courteous on the phone and within the week fixed the issue. Price I felt was reasonable. Mailed me a detailed bill explaining everything done. Would use this service again

He is a fantastic plumber. He has been our plumber since we moved into this house. I noticed when their truck was going around town that he was Harrisburg readers' choice award. I recommend him to everyone and I have nothing but excellent things to say about him. We have been customers of his for so long. He thought that it was just because we had all the flooding that maybe the water table was high. It was a little bit wet. We have a gravel basement. He didn't even charge us. He told us that we were okay. That maybe because we are long-term customers. That's the kind of people they are. They are very fair, they are very honest, and they are very helpful. I have had them order things for me. I have old toilets in my house that have fixed colors. They have gotten toilet seats for me that are hard to find colors for. They have located them for me. They are very nice. They are very professional and very fair priced. I just can't say enough good things about them. I would highly recommend them. The last time he didn't even charge us. That's the beauty of it. He looked at our basement and checked at the well head for leaks, couldn't find any, and he said that he thought it was just the damp and moist because of the terrible flooding here in Hershey. The flooding has been terrible. He thought that the water table was a little high and the basement was a little damp and he said no charge. He is just very good to have with emergency calls. You can reach him on weekends if there is someone on call. We are in a neighborhood that had to go from septic to sewer. He just knows his stuff. We were debating about whether or not to connect to the water and he could answer really good about the hook-up fees, long-term, and downturns. He was just very knowledgeable. Mike is a great guy. He was recommended to me. He came out the first time and I have recommended him to other people and they have told me that he is the best guy and thanked me for recommending him. I have no hesitancy. He is so busy. He started out alone and he has still built up the business now with maybe four or five other guys. He has a great staff in the office. I have never had a problem with them. I have known him now for 25 years. It's a long time. The quality is great. He comes in and fixes something and it is fixed. He gives you really good advice. I made a mistake of putting in a porcelain sink and they came and installed it for me. He told me that he was a stainless steel fan. Now I can say that he is probably right. He gives good advice. He didn't judge me for putting in a white porcelain sink. He will tell you his favorites and he will tell you what he thinks will work for you and they are not necessarily the most expensive products. I am sure porcelain was more expensive than stainless steel. He will give you an honest and fair opinion. He is very fair priced. For returning customers, their funny thing is on Valentine's Day, their Valentine's card comes out and it is always a discount card and it is good for a year. It may be $25.00 off your next service. For their loyal customers they always send out a valentine. It's very cute. It's a cupid, but instead of it's bow it's a plunger and it's for their loyal customers or repeat customers. They give you a discount card that is good for a year. I have used it and never had a problem using it. They are very nice people.

They were very efficient and knowledgeable, very clean and professional.

This is the third time I've used Mike Leonard's plumbing. I switched to ML after getting frustrated with the high cost of another shop. Up until the most recent work, I have been satisfied with all aspects of their service. This time, however I was disappointed. After the initial contact, they came out and to estimate the work. After not hearing from them for a couple of weeks, I called to find out when I would receive the estimate and when the work would be done. I was told I would receive the estimate that week and the work would be scheduled soon. After another week or so, I had not received the estimate or a call to schedule the work. I called again and the work was scheduled for the following week. I inquired about the estimate, which I had not yet received and was told it would be sent out. I did not receive the estimate, but trusted them enough to allow the work to proceed. The day after the back flow device was installed, I received a call that Mike would be out to test the device (required by PA American Water) and that the cost would be $225. When I asked what I was getting for that price, it turned out to be about 30 minutes of work and completion of a one page report (mostly check boxes). I politely expressed disapproval about the charge, which seem to be based not on the difficulty or time required to do the work, but rather the fact that it was a requirement that I could not avoid. Facing an October 31 deadline to have the work completed, I felt I had no choice but to authorize the work which I did. 1/12/2012 Update - I stopped by the shop and to talk with Mike. We sat down and had a good conversation about the situation. Mike is very committed to customer satisfaction and I appreciated him spending the time to sit down with me.

I ended up calling them later in the day or over the weekend; they sent somebody over within the hour but charged me a time and a half. They are always available. So even though the price is a time and a half, it is really good to have people that I can call and say that I need somebody within the hour, which is the biggest thing. The first time, the price was close to $200. I would definitely use them again in the future if I need somebody in an emergency.

Every time I have called Leonard's with a problem it has been resolved quickly and well. They are expensive but worth every penny. They are my plumber of choice.

They are fantastic. I grade them A plus. I have used them over the years and they are absolutely rock solid. Their pricing is reasonable and their quality of work is outstanding. They are just one of the best companies that exist. I would trust them in my house if I wasn't here. I will use them again in the future.

They were very responsive in scheduling a time to come and then called with a time update. There were no surprises. They did exactly what I asked for.

He came and fixed the problem within 20 minutes. He was reasonably priced as well.

The technician arrived on time (and called ahead), was courteous, knowledgeable, and even answered all of my weird questions about plumbing while he worked. Our pump pit had remnants of baby wipes that had not been removed by another company. So, the technician co-ordinated with a third party to suck the "stuff" out of the pit, cleared the line, cleaned the pump, pulled data from the pump to ascertain the age, and got us back to normal. I, without hesitation, recommend this company for your plumbing needs.

It was quick service, Mike himself has done a job for us. The second job one of his guys fixed. He finished in a half an hour and he said I would be charged for an hour so he asked if there was anything else he could do. He fixed the faucet to at no additional charge. It wasn't overly expensive, they didn't try to pad the price and they were very upfront about it.
