The computer is behaving perfectly now -- it's very responsive and has no annoying pop-ups. Mike also recommended that I use Norton antivirus instead of what I had and installed I 2-month free trial for me. He is very personable and professional.

My husband's computer would not power on at all. He called Michael Petro at Petro Computer Solutions. Michael said it was either the power supply or the motherboard and gave an estimate of how much a repair would cost. (Understanding that the motherboard cost could vary depending upon required work needed.) He scheduled an appointment at our convenience. He was prompt and professional. He diaganosed the problem as the power supply and relaced it on the spot. He also helped configure our laptops to our wireless printer.--we had been having several issues with it working one day and not the next. The printer issue was not included in the orignial issue but he was kind enough to do it while he was here.

Outstanding service!! The power supply in my HP Pavilion computer died over the weekend. I found Mike Petro on Angie's List, and called him Saturday morning. He answered the phone, and scheduled me for an appointment 11:30 am Monday. Mike was fully aware of the nature of the problem, and familiar with it -- he had done many of these power-supply replacements recently. He arrived promptly at 11:30 as scheduled. He went to work immediately on the computer, and replaced the power supply. He brought the replacement with him and installed it. He cleaned the inside of the computer to remove some dust build-up, powered up the computer, and showed me that it worked fine. He was here all of 15 minutes! Outstanding job -- can't praise the on-site service more! No need to lug a computer to shop and leave it there. He comes to you. I'd gladly call Mike again for computer service and would be happy to recommend him to friends.

I called Mike after reading his reviews on Angie's List. He responded very quickly and made an appointment to come to my home. He picked up the tower and told me he would try to back up all my files before he found out what the problem was. Of course there is always a risk with that and I was pretty concerned because we have a lot of sensitive things on our computer. It would have been devastating to lose all that information. Mike asked me if I would like him to email me after he backed up the files to give me peace of mind. Of course I agreed. I was surprised to get an email from him that same evening to say that he successfully backed up the files and that my computer would be ready on Friday. He came today to reconnect the computer and to make sure everything was working. It was..He also helped me by contacting Norton because they automatically charged my credit card without my authorization. He took the time to get everything straightened out even though this didn't involve him and wasn't part of the repair. He is a very trustworthy and talented man. I highly recommend him and will definitely use him again if I have a problem.

I called Michael and scheduled an appointment at my house for the next day. He quickly figured out my issue with my wireless connection. He secured my connection for my pc, mac and i-phone. He installed my wireless printer on my mac and work pc. He explained the basic features of the wireless printer and performed a test run to make sure it was working properly. He also answered connection questions regarding a future purchase of a home entertainment system. I recommend Petro Computer Solution for any computer issues you may have.

Mike was very prompt getting back to me, came to the house, took the computer and brought it back fixed promptly. He was very pleasant to work with. I'm looking forward to having him come back to set up a home network.

Excellent experience and outcome . I called Petro Computer Solutions and left a message after my computer stopped working due to a storm-power-surge. I received a call back within 10 minutes. I described the problem and we set up a time for Michael to come over to do the diagnosis and repair the following day. During the call Michael quoted me a price for the upcoming visit, including parts cost for the most likely fix required based on my description of the problem. He arrived exactly on time, was both professional and personable. He efficiently diagnosed and repaired my computer and the charge was exactly as quoted ahead of time. He advised me on ways to prevent the problem from happening again and also gave me ideas for ways to back up my data. Thanks Michael!

I thought that the price was very reasonable. The person who repaired my computer was very personable, competent, and did an extremely good job.

We were concerned that moving all of our emails (going over many years) across 2 computers of different vintage would mess up either the emails or the computers. Mike came to our home and took care of everything. He had a comforting manner, explaining what he was doing, answering our questions, and and demonstrating that our email was up and running on the new computer before he left. He accommodated our scheduling needs for a Friday afternoon and was punctual. We would seek his advice and service again.

He's great; he's really good. I've used him for a couple of years. He is very prompt and reasonably priced. I've never had a problem. He is excellent and I would recommend him highly. I would absolutely use him again.

I came back from vacation to find my laptop and car needing repairs. That being said, I was in need to find someone who could fix my laptop asap and at a reasonable price. I also wanted to find someone that I could trust to come into my home. I found Mike by doing a basic google search but was impressed with how many good reviews he had on Angie's List. I had found a few other local computer repair companies, but they all wanted to charge some $100 plus an hour- I was impressed with Mike's flat rate fees. Mike was about to go on vacation but still answered his phone and spent several minutes on the phone with me. He set up an appointment to pick up my computer as soon as he returned from vacation. He would have had it back the following day, but I was not available so he held onto it until I was available the next evening. When Mike returned with my laptop, he was patient with explaining to me what the problem was, answered all my general questions and connected the printer that had been sitting unused for one year. He even went out to get some sort of adapter that was needed get my printer running! Mike completely cleaned up my laptop, installed Norton Anti-virus and removed McAfee (which had been slowing my computer down), performed all necessary updates, even my iTunes. My laptop is running smoother than it ever has before. On top of everything, I felt comfortable having Mike in my home. Finding people you can trust is hard these days! Anyone in the area should use Mike for computer repairs. I have already recommended him to my dad and co-worker.

Within about two minutes Michael had determined that I had a very-hard-to-get-rid-of non-maiicious program called XP Antivirus 2011. He went to work with a program he introduced into my computer and in minutes it was outta there! As he worked he kept up a nearly-continuous explanation of what the program was and what he was doing to get rid of it. He ran some diagnostics, acertained all was well and gave me a brief tutorial on what to do if it ever showed up again. He even took a look at a second computeer that was running very slowly and gave me tips on how to improve performance, which I'm following. Good guy, good work.

Once again, my experience with Mike went very well. He was more than willing to explain details about what could possibly be wrong with my crashed laptop. He also offered to assist me with my new computer purchase as far as any questions I might have had and I did later have a few which he gladly answered. With my new computer purchase, I don’t anticipate having to make use of Mike’s services anytime in the near future but he will remain on my Favorites List as the number one go to guy if the need arises. When conversing with him I could tell he was not only very well-informed and subtly avid about his profession but that he was being forthright and honest about his explanations and recommendations. Good support is very hard to find in these troubled times but Mike is definitely one person in whom I have much trust and faith, I highly recommend Mike.

On Friday March 11th, my laptop failed to reboot after a restart. I called Mike that same day at 19:45 (7:45pm civilian time) and left a message stating my problem. I finally got in touch with him on Monday the 15th in the afternoon. Mike apologized profusely for not getting back to me sooner but he had been out of town for the weekend. (His tone and demeanor told me that if he had been in town he would have called me on the weekend; I was most impressed.) Mike and I reviewed my problem and as stated earlier he gave me some possible solutions to try as we talked on the phone. None of the solutions worked and we discussed the possibility of him repairing my machine. He thoroughly explained the details of what he might need to do to repair the contraption, length of time for the fix (two days) and gave a reasonable, concrete, no haggle fee for these services that were totally in line with the prices shown in other reviews. Mike spoke about data recovery and what he could accomplish in regards to that and what I might have to do for very detailed data recovery. I was quite at ease with him and felt very encouraged by him to the point that I was ready to set up a fix at that very instant. However due to other commitments, I told him I would have to contact him later on this matter. We even discussed a potential commission for him to build of a desk top and he gave me some exceptional information and insight into that process. I was very pleased with his attitude and concern for a customer who might not even wind up paying him if the potential over-the-phone-solutions he gave had worked. I plan on utilizing Mike?s services in the future as needs arise.

Mike Petro called a bit earlier than the appointment that he was in the area and came right over. He is very pleasant and professional. Mike promptly returned my call regarding my computer that was infected with a virus. He explained what he does, how much it would be, picked the computer up and returned it the next day. He was prompt, professional, called when he was going to be early to make sure it was OK and fully explained what he did, how to prevent the issue in the future and provided a discount code for software. Hopefully I will not have to use him again (means I have a virus) but highly recommend him.

Mike picked up he computer and quoted a price on how much it might cost to repair. He installed a new harddrive and was able to save all the information on the old and copy it to the new drive. The price he quoted was what he charged and he gave us the old drive and recommended on how to either store it or to destroy it. He was very professional and very knowlegable AND prompt. My wife was especially thrilled because Mike was able to save her iTunes!! We highly recommend Michael to anyone who may be experiencing problems with their computer.

Michael explained that though he worked primarily on PC's, he would do his best for me. We made an appointment, he came over promptly and he proceeded to restore my computer rapidly and efficiently. And--he's also a really nice guy. The total cost of $99. was exceptionally reasonable and I strongly recommend him to anybody in need of computer help!

Mike Petro was fantastic! He came to my house, looked at my computer, decided it needed to have diagnostic tests run, and took it to repair. He quoted prices before beginning the work. He replaced my defective hard drive and reinstalled all my programs and files. He returned it shortly, hooked it back up, and checked everything to make sure it was working. He reinstalled the printer program to fix a glitch and spent time helping me fix an outdated e-mail program that I enjoy using. He set me up with a better, cheaper anitvirus program. He turned off unnecessary programs and made it run much faster. He patiently answered all my computer illiterate questions in a way that I could understand and gave me advice on how to back up my hard drive and what type of printer would suit my future needs. He was completely professional. I highly recommend Mike Petro.

Over the weekend, my ancient HP PC was seized with a virus that wouldn?t let me access anything ? on- or off-line. I called Michael who responded on Monday, arrived to pick up my computer on Tuesday. I also had an older than ancient laptop which I asked Mike to wipe clean so that I could donate it. He returned with both computers on Friday: the PC was virus free and equipped with a 60 trial version of Norton which he recommended. As requested, the laptop was wiped clean?several times with a very powerful program. Michael was very professional and very accommodating. I am very glad to have found him on Angie?s List and in my neighborhood. His service is excellent and very reasonably priced.

I contacted Mike to repair my existing computer and load files on new computer,he looked at the old unit and instantly saw a leaking capacitor on the main board and declined working on it knowing more problems may exist and determining it not to be worth the expense. He removed the drive and loaded the files in a new computer instantly. He flawlessly and quickly transferred all files with ease. I am thrilled to have discovered him and his talent.
