Brian and his team were highly professional from the first estimate until the final step of the construction. He walked us through each process step by step and was always available to answer questions and make suggestions. Brian's team was prompt, courteous, and neat. The team even took the time to fill my wife's flower area with top soil rather than simply leaving the small step for us to complete. The final project looks like something out of a magazine and we could not be happier with the work performed. We will definitely be having Brian and his group back for work on our house in the future.

It went really really well. It went better than we ever expected. We could not be happier. The company has friendly, experienced and competent personnel and they have the equipment needed to do the job. All issues that came up were settled quickly and efficiently. Use them again? In a heart beat.

The provider came out to quote me on finishing off my basement. he was here, took measurements for about two hours. then he said he'd get me a quote, and that's where it all stopped. I never received the quote, I never received a call back after calling 3x (three strike rule) and that's it with them. I don't think they are capable to finish off a 1500 sq. ft. basements because of his timid responses to my loaded questions.

The driveway repaving was good but in the process of repaving the drive way they cracked the pavement of both my side and my neighbors. They said they would come out and repair it and after several emails back and forth saying they would send someone out they never showed up and never made the repairs. It's been over a year and I haven't heard from them. I would not use them in the future.

From start to finish, the entire experience was professional and first rate. All work was done on time, on budget and to a very high standard. Brian, my point of contact, was extremely professional, responsive and customer focussed. He answered all of my questions in a timely and complete manner. And, he went out of his way to ensure the work was performed to the highest standards and qualty, including frequent checking. I was very impressed with the talent and expertise of the crew. It was clear that they knew their craft and took tremendous pride in their work. The end result exceeded our expectations and we have been receiving a lot of positive compliments from our neighbors on the work.

Brian and team were very responsive, professional and accomplished a big job in very little time. He gave me great honest advice, and fixed the forms and excavation I laid out in order make sure that the project was done correctly. I highly recommend G&V for any masonry and stone work as they are a very diligent, professional, and talented company.

We really made the right choice choosing G & V construction. We started out thinking we wanted new steps and a screened porch on our back patio. The patio we had was rather decrepit and when we bought the house we knew we were going to have to do something as it was not draining properly. Brian listened to what our needs were and then explained all our options and the pros and cons of each choice. His advice was very helpful and he was excellent at helping us to think through each option. We decided to build and entirely new patio flooring, using handsome pavers that G & V recommended. A new drainage system was also put in. G & V's employees were very professional, courteous, highly skilled and diligent. They arrived on time and worked non stop. Our patio looks great and functions well. It poured last night and we had no drainage issues at all. We are now using them to redo our driveway and other walk-way work. We recommend G & V highly !

Brian and his crew, Tom, Al and Kevin arrived on time with all the necessary equipment. A piece of fencing had to be removed to allow for their mechanized equipment to get to the back yard. This piece of fencing was later replaced. Old concrete slab was busted up and removed and excavation was started. i had three drain lines, currently running above ground that I wanted buried under the patio being installed and this was accomplished by installing a dry well 20 feet from the house underground. During the excavation it was discovered that the current design would have to be tweaked because of the difference in elevation of our yard. Brian resolved the issue and explained the solution, we agreed, and the excavation and concrete pour was completed. I cannot find fault with the work, the attitude of Brian's workers and the way our property was respected. After completion of all work, Brian and his crew regraded a portion of the yard around the patio and re-seeded with grass seed. I would highly recommend G&V Construction for additional work and will be contacting them in the near future to put a porch on the front of our house. It is a good feeling to find a contractor who does what he says, stays within budget, works with the homeowner to find a solution when things don't go quite the way you originally planned. Other neighbors have asked for G&V's information for work they will be doing around their houses. Great job guys.

G&V only provided estimate, but went about it very professionally, being on time and with a quick turnaround. For another project would definitely consider them again. In this case another offer was lower and we had to consider due to budget.

I am still waiting the estimate from Tom Falcone who was supposed to email me a couple of days after his visit on April 7, 2014. Is that a professional behavior?

Owner (Brian) was very responsive and extremely competitive in pricing. His crews (including himself) were quick, efficient, and performed very high quality work. He also secured required permits. We would look forward to being able to use him again.

I was very impressed with their professionalism but did not go with them cause their price came in higher than someone else who came highly recommended. That said, I am keeping their cards and may try them again.

It went great, we would recommend them and use them again, gladly.

Both jobs were on budget and took less time than we thought even though they had to work around bad weather. I had my own ideas about how the concrete work and new drainage should be done, but the foreman patiently explained where my ideas fell short and explained what he thought would work better. After seeing it in action I have to admit he was right. It works great, and the concrete work was carefully graded to expedite drainage too. It's very subtle, but we don't see puddles forming where they used to in heavy rain, and we don't get water in our basement anymore.

We had an 80 year-old-porch restructured, new walls erected, ceiling fans installed, new cement floor laid, an old but lovely ceiling renovated to look new but old-time, new storm doors (3), a bay window and several other double hung windows installed. I wish you could see it. Could not be happier. Have used G&V before and will never use any other company. Professional, friendly and amazingly skilled.

Brian and Tom were wonderful, from start to finish. They were extremely patient with my design changes, and questions. They worked with us and our budget. Brian was extremely helpful in making great suggestions about where we could cut so that we could stay within the budget we had. It was a big job, in an old house that had a bad DIY remodel that had never been entirely completed. Tom and Brian were always punctual and always showed up for the meetings we had before the project started and continued that punctuality when the project started. Tom was always returned calls in a timely fashion and oversaw everything during the remodel. All workers were professional,neat and clean. They were wonderful in every way, and provided me with exactly what I wanted. I love my kitchen, they did a beautiful job and I would recommend them to everyone and plan to use them for other projects in the future

call on them again Brian was on time, polite and professional. The job required the work be done in two parts and Brian understood the need for that and was quite willing to accomidate me. He looked at the job and told me he would send me a proposal vie e mail in a day or two. I recieved the proposal two days later (right on time!). Although I did not hire G & V I would definitly call on them again.

Everything went beautifully. The team arrived as promised, did outstanding work, were very professional and true craftsmen, and produced a gorgeous driveway and front steps. We are extremely pleased and recommend G&V to others.

Excellent service from start to finish. Received a return call promptly. Tom arrived as promised to review the job and provide an estimate. Received emailed estimate within a few days. I changed the scope of the project, as well as some materials after the initial estimate, and Tom returned to my home to make sure he understood the changes. Brian and his crew were prompt and professional. Brian even arrived extra early one day (before 6:00 AM) to get started because it was supposed to rain later that afternoon. The workers checked in with me at key points to make sure they understood my preferences. I was especially pleased with the detail of the brickwork for my sidewalk. Finished within a reasonable amount of time and right on budget. Overall, a great experience.

great. i could not be happier. i found G&V through angie's list as we were new to the area. Brian was the lead and he is incredibly responsive and easy to work with. we wanted some unusual things like ordering the cabinets from indy our previous hometown. Brian worked with us on everything. the bathroom looks great and was significantly less expensive than the first contractor from angie's list. the project was completed in a very reasonable time frame. Brian made everfy effort to assure we were happy. anything i need done that requires a contractor here in the philly area i intend to call G&V.

We signed on for Angie's list to find a contractor to replace our driveway, front steps and a large retaining wall between the driveway and the lawn. We found GandV Construction in Havertown who had great reviews and this made us immediately comfortable. I contacted GandV via email and we started our project quickly. From the day they promised to start work to the day they finished the work, GandV were professional, polite, and very thorough and careful. They came to work when they said they would, arriving each day before I left for work. Brian (the owner) suggested that we may want to replace instead of repair our cracked and crumbling brick steps and wall with EP Henry products when he discovered that the wall did not stand on a proper footer. We chose to replace everything and we could not be happier with the result. Brian even helped us pick out the best color for our home. Steve who did most of the stone work, carefully placed each and every stone and element of the wall as if he were working on his own home. The driveway, wall and steps are finished and look fantastic. Our home has never looked better. Each and every worker from GandV was courteous and careful with our neighbors' property too. We are so very happy we found GandV on Angie's list. We highly recommend this company, G&V Construction.

The job was done quickly (two hours) and very neatly. It's beautiful. I was given the choice of a rough or a smooth sealer. I chose rough because the driveway slopes and it's the main path for rain runoff and snow melt on that side of the house. Traction is sometimes an issue The rough is like 150 grit sandpaper -- very fine but far from slick. The roughness is visible only as a matte look rather than the shiny-slick look one assuciates with freshly-coated asphalt. This was a perfect followup to the great job G&V did on my driveway last year.

I chose G & V Construction for this job after being very pleased with work they did for me last year (new concrete patio in the back) The concrete on my front porch had started to form cracks, which quickly became larger and threatened the supports for the canopy. Also, some of the curbing in front on the street was broken and the drain pipe for runoff from my roof that is supposed to terminate in the street was not connected. I called Brian to come out and provide an estimate for the job. He reviewed the work and we discussed my concerns and expectations. He then provided a detailed verbal scope of work, including his own recommendations based upon the inspection. Within a few days, I had a detailed estimate for the job in writing. Once scheduled, his team showed up as promised. The workers were courteous and professional. One even took the time to move some of the summer plants from around the existing concrete porch that would have otherwise been crushed in the work. It was clear that they took pride in their workmanship, adding an extra design bead around the perimeter of the porch to dress up an otherwise plain concrete patio. I also appreciated the swirl pattern on all surfaces to ensure proper traction in the winter. The work was completed within the projected time frame and I was very pleased with the result. I would use this contractor again without hesitation.
