Great communication from Brian. He was efficient and timely with emails. the guys arrived on time and returned to check on the progress.

Brian responded promptly to my email and came out to do a free estimate as soon as weather permitted. He gave me estimates for a variety of options and allowed me to choose. Even though I chose the cheaper and less extensive repair, the actual work done exceeded my expectations. Rather than just fill the pothole, Brian resurfaced a large section of the alley. I highly recommend G&V Construction!

We wanted the existing steps replaced, to add an extra step. This was to decrease the height of the risers making it easier to use our front steps. We originally received an estimate from G & V in mid-June. We went the summer without hearing much, than toward the end of September we heard that they wanted to start. We corrected some miscommunication and work began. More miscommunication with the wrought iron subcontractor, us, and G & V, but everything got smoothed out. The biggest complaint is a delay in hearing from them. The end result is that the new steps and railings look great. We plan to use G & V, and Pete Okonski again.

Our house has a lot of brick details that were in need of repair. Brian and his team were able to match new pavers to our 50+ year old bricks quite seamlessly and help restore the masonry around our house. We are really happy with the end result - most especially with the new paver walkway that leads to our front door. There was one spot on the stucco wall that needed touched up after they left. I sent a note and within an hour they returned to make the fix. The customer service is great, and we especially appreciated Brian and his team's honest expertise on the best and most cost-effective approaches to our projects. We would definitely recommend them and use them again in the future.

Brian responded either the same day I called him or the next day. He was professional and discussed with me any issues he could potentially run into with the job and explained how they would be handled. Within a week he provided me with a very detailed estimate for the work. While I ultimately went with another organization, I really appreciated Brian's responsiveness and professionalism. I certainly would contact him again in the future.

Brian and his crew were great and very professional. He explained everything step-by-step and was available throughout the jobs. Some of the work went unbelievably fast, testifying to their skills. He coordinated his work with a tree removal service and worked personally with the township in getting the permit and having the inspection done. Brian inspected everything and took personal responsibility. He was very attentive to details. He was always responsive to calls and emails. The final product--walkway, sidewalk, driveway, etc. look wonderful. He even supplied grass seed for areas that had been excavated. Although my township has an odd regulation that added unexpected additional work for them, Brian did not charge us any extra beyond the original estimate. He was personable, knowledgeable, and a gentleman. I wouldn't have a doubt about working with him again.

Brian came out as promised and on time (even waited for me - I had called to say I left work late). He looked at my front patio (~4'x8' size). He was professional, listened to my concerns, described in adequate detail what he recommended in order to reduce chance of future cracking from frost heave. The written estimate was provided in reasonable time and provided details on what they were going to do and how. They also included the fact that they would support the porch roof during the repair. The crew arrived with their equipment on time the morning the work was scheduled. I could not stay to watch the work, but when I returned everything was done as described and the work looked very good. I had to wait a couple of days for them to take away the molds and another week for them to replace the porch roof support. They left very little mess and did not damage anything. The work looks great. They were not the cheapest quote, but I thought they would do a good job and I was correct.

I called for an estimate on August 4, 2015 and left a voice message for them. Then I followed up a few days later on their website and submitted an email asking for an estimate & mentioning that I left a message on the 4th.Still no response and it's the 22nd of August now. In the ratings I said I would probably use them in the future because I cannot fairly rate their work at this time & it wouldn't be fair to either one of us not to give them a chance. I am very dissatisfied with their lack of professionalism. I would have no problem with the courtesy of a call back saying that they can't schedule an appointment with me because they are too inundated with work. Unfortunately they couldn't do that either. Strike 1 for using Angie's List.

Tom arrived on time for the estimate. He very professionally assessed the work to be performed and promptly provided a quote. Before the work commenced, Tom brought his foreman Brian to meet me and to familiarize him with the job. Brian and his crew arrived on time to perform the work and did a very competent job of re-? casting our concrete loading dock and provided a very nice mag trowel finish on the flat work. During the course of the excavation some additional necessary work was revealed and G& V gave us a fair price on the extra work. I recommend them and would hire them again.

Unfortunately, not very well. Originally, I spoke the companies secretary, to schedule a date to get an estimate. I had a date scheduled during the week of April 5 but had to cancel it and she, supposedly, rescheduled it for Tuesday, 5/12. When no one showed up, that's when I found the card I had from Tom, the estimator (I received an estimate about 3 years ago which is why I had a business card), and he suggested I email him to reschedule. He confirmed for 5/19. In all of these contacts, I gave my address. On 5/19, I received an email from Brian stating that they no longer do work in Philadelphia. Of course, this is confusing since in speaking with the secretary and with Tom, neither stated that G and V does not do work in Philadelphia since last year. I think not working in an large city like Philly would be something that staff could easily remember, unfortunately, it is not.

Great job! Punctual, professional, a pleasure to work with! I would not hesitate to recommend them highly. A first rate job!

Although estimator arrived early for our appointment we were only told at the appointment when we asked for a quote (the point of the appointment) that architectural drawings were required to have G & V give us a cost. We understand that this would have ensured their quote's accuracy however if we had known when we made the appointment that this was a prerequisite for the quote, we would have had them made and available. With the estimator springing this on us during the consultation it just seemed that they didn't want the project so found someway to decline it. Total waste of our time. We want to hire a company who is upfront and provides clear communication.

They were very good. I would use them again in a heartbeat.

Provider was on time, responsive, and took time to look at solutions as issues were uncovered during the job. Additional cost for extra work was explained in detail and agreed. We feel like we got a good value for our money.

Excellent. There was one issue -- a huge boulder underground that impeded G&V's ability to lay an underground water conduit, and instead of complaining or jacking up the price too much, Brian (the firm's owner) when out and got a jackhammer and chopped away at the stone until his crew could proceed. Halfway through the project, we (the homeowners) requested an upgrade to the original specs. Brian agreed and raised his price only a little to accommodate the extra expense he incurred in complying with our upgrade request. Months after the project was completed, we remain quite satisfied with G&V's work. This autumn, when we tried to lift the iron grate covering the drain in order to remove leaves, we found it was too heavy to budge and mistakenly thought the grate had been inadvertently sealed into place. I contacted Brian who assured me the problem was simply that the grate was incredibly heavy and tough to move -- but he didn't just end with that. He ended by saying if we couldn't move it, he'd send someone over to do it for us. Looks like we'll be taking him up on that! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Workers did a very thorough and complete job. Workers arrived as scheduled. Really, a very satisfactory experience overall.

Very well/. Brian was easy to reach and responsive. He worked with our schedule perfectly and we are satified. If i have one negative the apron was nor sealed at the road and i was not informed to do so. When i asked them to do it they said the do not do that and said my township shpould. My township said no and when i called for a referral the had none

Brian, Tom, and the crew were punctual and professional. The work was high quality and they were a pleasure to deal with going above and beyond. In addition to doing all the work, they also brought in a ladder to climb into the second floor of the house and open the door when my aunt got herself locked out with our toddler.

Responded promptly to our email request and followed up with a site visit within days. Tom, spent a considerable amount of time with us, sharing ideas and options we had available to us. He made several suggestions that we thought were helpful to our project. Pricing was fair. G&V was one of 3 bids we considered, however, in the end we did select another contractor because he fit into are schedule and was able to fit in another job as well. We were impressed with the professionalism of The G&V Company.

Had to wait a few weeks for work to be completed and needed to put house up for sale as soon as possible so I did not use the services. They were very good and reviewed all of the details with the estimate.

We have not had a very good experience with them and i was surprised because i got them from Angies list and they had good reviews. They were very professional, we were pleased with his knowleagabe because we had some major problems. He told us he could get us a bid for the front landscaping and he told us to get an Engineer for the back. It took us a while to get to the engineer and we were playing tag with him. Two weeks went by before i had to ask him the name of the engineer and the phone number. He said he would email that to me and he did not do it. It was another 2-3 weeks i emailed him and he had not yet drafted a bid. He said he will not do the job until i talk to the engineer. I told him that was not in the agreement but he insisted i talk to the engineer first and that was after 2 month. I was frustrated and disappointed.
