We sought and received several competitive estimates for this project. Although G and V's estimate was not the least expensive, I was very impressed with Brian's demeanor, knowledge and stated attention to detail. His explanation of what needed to be done to ensure a proper, safe and long-term repair was thorough and reassuring. The project involved removing and replacing several courses of concrete block in a garage wall that backs up to sloped yard. To safely complete the project, Brian's crew constructed bracing for the garage roof which was left in place until the cement cured over several days. The area behind the damaged wall was excavated, removing old inadequate drain pipes, and replacing the soil with stone and a new drainage system. He also recommended, instead of replacing the soil which was removed, bringing in river rock to allow better drainage and also give a more aesthetically pleasing end result. The soil which now was unnecessary, was moved to another area on our property by Brian's crew to be used in an upcoming project. The original planned start date had to be delayed due several large storms. Brian kept us informed as to the status of our start date and promptly began the job as soon as weather allowed. His crew worked each day promised and completed the project in short order. Each day they left the job site clean and tidy. Overall, we were impressed with Brian's knowledge, professionalism, attention to detail and communication with us. We will certainly recommend him to others and consider using his company for future projects ourselves.

Beautifully. I am a cautious shopper and I had 5 or 6 estimates. Brian was honest, he answered all of my questions and explained why a partial tear out as was suggested by another company would not be appropriate. All the other companies were okay, but not as professional and kind as Brian was. We had many delays due to weather, but once the driveway was in I was thrilled. There was a concrete curb on the left that he thought he would have to rip out. That would have cost me another $150.00, but Brian being aware of cost was able to work around it and saved me that money, plus the Angie's List discount. Thanks for a great job.

I called G & H after finding them on Angie's List. Brian made an appointment to come out and provide an estimate. He walked the area with me and reviewed the work we needed. His estimate arrived promptly and after clarifying details, which he did cordially, we set up the dates for the work to be done. G & H maintained the agreed upon schedule and showed up each day with a full crew and equipment. They cleaned up each day and always left the area clean, presentable and useable. In addition to a beautiful driveway, new sidewalk and the pad we needed for the Central Air condenser, they also refreshed all disturbed areas with grass seed and landscaping. they also helped us by moving the A/C condenser to pour the pad and moved it back unto the pad. We also had an old Basketball Post that they cut up and hauled away for us. We are very happy with the work, the service and the extremely courteous personnel employed by G & H.

This company came out to give a free estimate to me for the job I was going to have done. He did a great job with his presentation. I think the price was a bit high built it may be because the work they do is excellent. I am very pleased with the estimate and am leaning toward using this company for my job.

I actually went with someone else because they were able to make a better offer. They were responsive and they emailed me back immediately and explained what they were going to do.

They did the pavers in March. They were good at helping me save money. We had gotten other estimates but G & V had creative ways of doing what we wanted to do. It looks really good and it was well done. We've had a lot of compliments on it. We thought their price was reasonable. They were professional and clean. They cleaned up after themselves very well. They had good ideas. They were punctual and they were here at 7:30 in the morning sometimes and started work where we weren't even up yet. They just did what they had to do. They were friendly and we were very pleased with them. They were very good and I have already recommended them to other people.

I spent around $16000 to $17000. They were responsive. I work from home so I was able to observe their work. They did not seem to be too annoyed that I was checking what they were doing. When I would make a suggestion on how I wanted something done, they would go right ahead and do it.

They were very professional. They were really impressive. They had terrific eye for detail, gave great suggestion and were reasonably priced. They were a little pricey and a little slow to respond but that was probably because they are very popular.

We used Angie's list to find the two highest rated contractors that were reasonably close to hour home. We secured estimates from both. Although the G&V estimate was higher, they offered a more complete scope of work, including the complete removal of the existing drive way material, isntalling a good level base, and then a substantial new asphault layer. The most complex part of the project was the isntallation of the Belgian block perimeter. This was done with outstanding precision. The job did run olver the estimated time, but cause of the delay actually reflects on G&V's profesionalism. Due to a period of heavy rain, the ground was saturated. G&V would not pour the asphault layer until the ground had drained enough to insure a good pour on a stable base. We are very happy with the results, and would use G&V again, and would highly recommend them to others

We called for an estimate to completely replace a driveway. This would involve chopping up the old one and creating a new one. They were very professional, punctual, and helpful. We did not use them yet because he advised us to wait. We are having other work done on the house and he advised us that the heavy trucks involved could damage the new driveway. So, he advised us to wait. They were very professional.

Brian was polite and knowledgeable came to my home to give me an estimate on removing and extending my existing patio with pavers.

I only received an estimate from this company for a total driveway replacement.

The owner Brian came out right away and gave me the estimate right on the spot. The office then called to give me a start date,the week before the work was scheduled to be done and they callled and asked if they could come a few days EARLY due to expected rain the following week. When does that happen anymore? Brian took care of everything including the permit delivering it the week before the work was started. We had a small miscommunication on the curb work being done I thought we went over it but it wasn't in the esimate and I didn't realize it until after the work was started. I then called Brian and without any hesitation he said he would take care of it he said he wants all his cusomers satisfied. The work was done quickly, they cleaned the area throughly and my sidewalk looks beautiful. I can't wait until I need something else done after talking with him I found out he does just about anything and said if he can't do it he can recommened other reliable contractors that he works with. This is one of the most upstanding companies I have ever used it's hard to get this kind of service anymore.

The workers arrived on time and finished in the three days they had expected for completion. On the first day they removed the old concrete and put in framing for the new work. The second day they poured half of the project and completed the work on the third day. It is beautiful! My neighbor and I are very happy with the finished effect.

Overall, I'm still trying to find a contractor who is willing to do the work for a little less money.

I found G&V Construction on Service Magic, but after reading the positive reviews on Angie's List, I was confident to contact Brian and have him come to give me an estimate. Brian was the second of three representatives who provided estimates. He was not only responsive to my initial call, when we met, I was very comfortable and confident in him as he explained a lot about the process. His estimate was presented to me via email within a few days and while I was very impressed with the third contractor, I chose Brian/G&V because the estimate was the most reasonable and I was very impressed with his enthusiasm and professionalism. The work began a few weeks later. The three-day process, unfortunately, turned out to last longer because G&V received a bad batch of concrete from Allied Concrete. I came home to the job and being a novice, didn't really notice anything significant to indicate its inferiority other than a chipped/broken corner on one of the steps. I did, however, have a voicemail message waiting for me from Brian indicating that he was extremely upset with the quality of the concrete that was delivered to him and that, as a result, he was removing it all and replacing it with the quality of concrete he expects each of his customers to receive! A few days later, his crew came out and proceeded to remove the bad concrete. After some uncooperative weather passed, they poured again and what a difference ... even to my untrained eyes! The concrete was beautiful and after the pavers were put down a day later, it was exactly what I was hoping for ... a professional job! I highly recommend G&V Construction and hope to hire them again for future projects.

Very prompt response to initial call. Work started within a couple of weeks of initial discussions. Tom Falcone very easy to work with, no pressure. Polite crew, clean up well - easy to have around.

Their quality and customer service stood out the most. They did some work for us before; so we got them back again. The overall work went very well. They were very conscientious. Their final price was actually what they quoted and they didn't overrun. They gave really good customer service. They would call us and tell when they were coming. If they couldn't come, they always cleaned up which was really important. We will use them again as we just quote from them for patio.

The representative was very professional, seemed knowledgeable about the subject matter, and was able to quote on various improvements around our house. Since their price was higher than contractors that specialized in the specific trades, I decided to go with different contractors.

They did an excellent job. They were very neat and cleaned up everything completely. They had excellent communication skills and answered all of my questions as well. They also had all the proper licenses and paperwork necessary. They showed up on time and had the lowest estimates of the four I received. I also examined some of his previous work examples and he performed great work.
