Comfort Basement

Description of Work: Our focus was on our basement area. Jessie gave us an overview on mold issues with basements - causes, where it occurs, what happens if left alone, etc. and showed us some areas where we already had signs of problems. He also ran the air test and sent us results and recommendations for resolving the problems. He was very professional and very knowledgeable. We will likely get a proposal from him for getting the work done once we get the room cleaned out.

Description of Work: Richard seemed very nice but what I needed assistance with, and the reason I purchased their offer, was not resolved during his visit, which lasted for over 2 hours. I have had two issues with water, one in the basement from two weather related floods, and one from a slow leak from the roof into a common wall shared by my garage and kitchen. I know I have mold, what I needed was an estimate on the cost and scope of remediation. What I received was a significant estimate for re-structuring my basement french drain, and repair for two cracks. While all of this would be great in the long run, I've already spent considerable funds to insure the basement doesn't have water problems again. Since it has been over 18 months and many rain storms inbetween, I'm comfortable that what has been done is sufficient, and I am now anxious to remediate the mold. Additionally, I was quoted an additional fee of $75 for each mold check, but the offer was clear that the special price included the 'whole house' . Richard kindly agreed to take a copy of the print-out back to his office to review with management and I was not charged during his visit. There was clearly a disconnect between my needs and their expertise, so I will not be using them beyond this visit.

Description of Work: They checked the drainage around the perimeter of our basement. They drilled some holes into the foundation for drainage and dug down and put rock on top of that. The work turned out fine. They are very nice people to work with.

Description of Work: They did the crawlspace and put in the French drains.

Description of Work: Thorough basement inspection for water damage and several alternatives to correct the problem. Detailed written proposal.The sump pump was replaced with a much better model for the same price I paid for the replaced one.
