Description of Work: I had a toilet leaking onto the floor and was going to just do the puttying myself. Good thing I called the plumber because that wasn't the problem. The plumber came to the house with a smile in his face and went right to work. Found a corroded connector and replaced it. Job done quickly. I wish the cost of just coming out was less but the plumber did not waste time and my money.

Description of Work: I discovered today (that is, a gas company official discovered today) that my water heater was not vented through the chimney as it is supposed to be, thereby spewing carbon monoxide all over my house. Fortunately, my house is over a 100 years old and quite drafty, which is probably the only reason me and my cat are still alive today! Anyway, the gas company had to shut down the water heater until it could be fixed - which means no hot water over the weekend if I couldn't get it fixed today. I immediately called HL Bowman, having used their services several times in the past, and they sent Tony over right away. He of course was as prompt and professional as always and after spending several hours at my house - venting the water heater, patching up the brickwork where the vent entered the chimney - I was back in business and spent a measily $260 to get there! I cannot say enough good things about this company. They are a real gem.

Description of Work: We had a problem with the toilet clogging and flooding over the weekend. I left a message and early Monday Tony came and fixed it ASAP. He did a great job getting it working again in a very short period of time.

Description of Work: He did repair work on a toilet, reseated with a new seal and replaced a frozen pipe and exterior faucet.

Description of Work: Had a leaky faucet in bathroom. He did an excellent job. Also, I had a pipe in my laundry room that had a cap on it. That cap had fallen into the pipe and he was able to get it out and fix the cap so that it could be used again and hopefully won't fall into the pipe again! I was very pleased.
