The initial phone call as well as the service visit went professionally and smoothly. They called in advance to tell me the name of the man who would be coming and to confirm the appointment time. Charlie was on time, knowledgeable, and a careful neat worker. I had listened to vibrating, squealing pipes when doing to laundry, had two ruptured water tanks in a short period of time, and listened to squealing pipes every time I took a shower or turned the water on and off. WHAT A RELIEF to have these problems corrected in 2.5 hours!

The technician came to check the noise coming from my water pipe. Within 1 minute he told me it wasn't the water pipe and nothing could be done by him to fix the noise. I respected his honesty, Three minutes later gave me the invoice. It was the most expensive 5 minutes conversation I ever had.

No estimate was provided and no offer of a receipt. The repairman came, fixed the toilet, told me how much it was, I paid him and he left. No warm and fuzzy feeling. Likely will not use them again. Plenty of other providers out there.

Figured my heat pump was shot seeing it was 23 years old - did the Angie's Big Deal for 79.99 for tune up to get their opinion - very professional - showed me all the wear and tear plus what it would cost to bring it back to normal which would have been money foolishly spent - had a quote (which was extremely competitive) for new system quickly but used another contractor who carried the line I desired - would not hesitate to use them again.

The plumber (Tim) was pleasant and courteous. He was here when they said he'd be here. I had already purchased the fixtures for the bathtub, not knowing that H.L. Bowman supplies their own fixtures, but Tim was very nice about attaching the fixtures I bought. He cleaned up after the job was completed. The price was less then I thought it would be, even though the work involved was more detailed than I thought it would be. I appreciated his honesty, and would definitely use this plumbing service again.

Arrived on time. Very courteous. Efficient. Would use again. He replaced elements in water heater...he was not the serviceman who checked screen doors or hung blinds. I got confused...had a few service people in to work. I will check with Angie in the future before I get helpers. Glad I joined!

I can't really comment on all the technicals of the repairs. It did take them two times to repair the problem. However their customer service was great and we will be using them for all the future repairs needed.

We discovered a water leak running from our 2nd floor guest bath drain piping into our basement. I thought it was going to be a big expense since the piping is not accessible. I called HL Bowman and the call was immediately answered by Brian. He said that they would have a technician out the same day or next day. Brian called later that morning and said the tech would be at our home in about 45 minutes. The tech arrived on time and after a brief conversation about the situation he set to work diagnosing the situation. He then opened up two small holes in a coat closet to get a better look at the piping and found the leak - the previous owner drilled into the drain pipe to hang something on the opposite wall. He fixed the leak and we ran water through the pipe for about 15 minutes and it works great. They did a great job for us and I'll be using them again for work at our home.

He had to come to fix problems after a flood we had from a water leak. He was on time and had to fix the bad repairs left by another company. He was very knowledgeable and explained things to us so we knew what was going on. If he did not find extra problems we would have had an extra flood on our hands. He fixed so many things for us. He even advised us on things we needed to do. He was very good and very efficient. Even when I had to call him back after I found another issue, he immediately came back and fixed it. He was also extremely patient with us.

It was extremely hot in the afternoon. They showed up at about 5:30 in the morning and worked until about 1 in the afternnoon. They had a great work ethic.

They were very responsive and their price was fair. It was an emergency, so I needed someone quickly, and they came through.

We have used H L Bowman several times now, and we have been very happy with their service. Our central air broke down on a hot and humid Saturday afternoon, and they were here within an hour to make the repairs. When our furnace broke down last winter during a cold snap, the technician went above and beyond to get the part we needed and came back on a Saturday morning to install the part. We will continue to be loyal customers of H L Bowman and would highly recommend their services!

Tony was AMAZING! He arrived on time, and worked non-stop until the work was complete. He kept everything neat and clean, Probably cleaner than when he got there when he left. He even made sure my garbage disposal didn't need to be replaced and my dishwasher didn't leak. He was professional and friendly. Welcomed me to my new home and wished me good luck in my home when he left. When it came time for a bill, he called the office to make sure I got the correct amount (a discount on Angies List was provided). It's good to know there are business professionals that believe in GREAT SERVICE and hire GREAT EMPLOYEES THAT FEEL THE SAME WAY! I have dealt with plumbers a lot over many years as a renter, and never had I ever had such a wonderful experience. I would highly recommend HL Bowman to any of my friends or family, actually they would be the only plumbers I would recommend to anyone. I will never have another plumber as long as I own any home. Bryan also came to give me a quote on a conversion to gas and a all new/all house HVAC system. He was extremely thorough and took lots of time to make sure he got exact information. I look forward to getting his estimate as I am sure they will be competitive with the other companies I have contacted in the area.

I discovered that my water heater was not producing while taking a shower (not good). Of course it was the day before Memorial Day and I had guests. I left a message on the plumbers voice mail and they called me the next day. They had a plumber here the next morning as I requested. The water heater had a bad leak as well as a very corroded pipe. He said he was unable to fix it and it would have to be replaced. They had a new heater at my home the very same day and installed it immediately. The young man who did the work was very pleasant and professional. He answered all my questions thoroughly and I had lots of them as the water heater was only 10 years old. Angie's list said this company had a special deal on a replacement water heater and I asked about that. The total for the replacement ended up being a good bit higher than I had expected. As I was not willing to wait I told them to proceed. The response and work that this company did was very good. My only comment would be that they did seem to be pricey. They also removed the old appliance.

Prompt / punctual / professional. Will use again. Love H.L. Bowman! Technician called for help when a sink valve was corroded and taking a long time - did not charge me for the time. Thank you! This is a large enough company that they can radio back to their shop and get parts - they had my Kohler faucet cartridge onsite and had someone drive it out to my house. Cannot tell you how pleased I am...! Had a minor problem a few days later with one of the toilet adjustments (would occasionally keep running) -they sent someone out and fixed it immediatly, for no charge of course. Very professional. THIS IS H.L. BOWMAN, NOT THE OTHER BOWMAN LISTED NEARBY...!!

Easy to get appointment for service due to friendly person on the company phone. Jared arrived on time and worked efficiently. Fauctes were in somewhat awkward location but he made the connections easy to use.

Excellent response time...just a few hours. Friendly, clean (no smell of smoke) serviceman who explained everything to me. Will definitely call again.

Our experience with HL Bowman started off well from the beginning of our initial call to them. The woman who answers the phone was very pleasant every time we talked to her. We called first thing in the morning and they had someone at our house later that day. The gentleman who serviced our house was very professional and explained everything to us in detail. A couple days later, the problem occurred again, and they had the same gentleman come out as soon as they could. He ran the tool through our sewer again, made recommendations about what we should do if it happens again.

They were excellent. Because of the particular work, my bill was extremely high. To explain the situation: it was upstairs in one of my bathrooms and it was between the toilet and the tub. One would drain and the other one would not and three months prior to them coming out I've had it snaked and all systems appeared to be going. Then three months later I was faced with this situation again. So obviously something was wrong. The guy did everything he could, include using this camera and industrial drain snake to try to open the drain, which he eventually did. He went above and beyond as far as I'm concerned to do this. Off course I had to pay for it, but never the less, they got the drain open. I knew it was going to be expensive. He gave me a warning beforehand when he asked me if I wanted him to use the camera.

Woke up on a Thursday morning with no hot water and guests coming on Friday! What to do? Checked Angie's List and found this service provider. Company repsonse was within 5 minutes of request for service. Pricing was explained and agreed to. Repair request was added to service list with 30 minute arrival notice. About 2 hours later, company called to inform me of 30 minute notice of tech arrival. Tech arrived, diagnosed water heater problem, explained options for repair. I chose to have the thermostats replaced. Repairs completed before noon on Thursday. Plenty of hot water for guests on Friday!

I had a leaky toliet and saw Bowman had good reviews on Angie's List. I called and they sent someone over the next day. The plumber was on time, professional/knowledgebale, and friendly. The leak was an easy fix. The plumber also fixed one of my toliets that was flushing slowly. He gave us our Angie's List discount and the whole thing cost less than $70.

Tony, the plumber, is always assigned to my home during a service call. This creates a relationship versus just some random worker showing up at your home. His work is top notch and he is quick and reliable. I would highly recommend him.
