It went very well. He fixed the initial problem within the first five minutes he was there. We have various equipment that can all be interconnected and he gave us suggestions on how to do that.

I called Mr. Aurand, and his wife booked a home visit for his first available time slot which was 2 days after my call to figure out why my machine would not boot-up . He arrived as promised and took 2 hours to diagnose the problem which turned out to be quite different than either he or I assumed. It took 2 hours because the symptoms indicated quite a few possibilities and the machine had to have several scans and different monitors had to be tested. The culprit turned out to be a bad video card. Mr. Aurand located a proper replacement and procured the card late in the day. He suggested I pick up the card from his office, which I did, and I installed it in my machine myself since I'm knowledgeable enough to do that, saving myself money on the project. Worked perfectly! His wife called that evening to be sure everything was working OK. He will return in the near future to clean hard drives on two of my machines which I don't have time to do.

They came on a Saturday. They were here about an hour.

We have two HP laptops. As a senior couple we are NOT tech savvy. My wife's was running very slow and she also really did not like the Windows 8. My computer was not running as slow but had issues with it freezing. I was running Windows 7. We had contacted a previous computer repair service but they said it would take about a 4 days turnaround and we would have to bring them into their store. They also advised us that we should both download the free Windows 10 prior to bringing the computers into the store. The estimate they gave was 85.00 per computer so 170.00 plus tax. Now Rick gave us a 2 hour window where he would come to out home in two days. He did in fact arrive well within that window. He proceeded to look at both laptops simultaneously. He told us right away that to download the updated Windows 10 was contrary to his advice. Newer systems are not always better. We agree. So he did restore Windows 7 to my computer. he then wiped the Windows 8 and 10 off the other computer and we are bot very happy with Windows 7 and its ease. He did a complete sweep of both computers wiping off all unnecessary malware, cookies etc. Using the programs he brought with him does take time. But the 3 hrs we were billed for was more than reasonable. Especially given the in home service benefit. My wife also had received a free Microsoft Word Pro to download. Rick loaded that but we had an issue because although it was running the package she received did not include an activation product code to run it. Rick advised that she contact her company later so she can get it activated which she will do. He also advised her of another FREE program that mimics Word Pro that she could download and she did and seems fine.

It went well. Rick was running a little late but made sure to call me to keep me informed-which was appreciated.He was knowledgeable and knew his resolution options. He was careful to make sure everything was backed up before starting. While installs were running he worked on a couple of other pcs and their issues. He was very informative and shared suggestions for pc improvements.

Rick was fabulous. From the minute I met him I felt comfortable that I had made a correct decision in going to him to fix my laptop. He explained the issue in a way I could understand. He had to wipe out my computer and re-load everything. He was extremely prompt and professional in his service, and his prices were very reasonable. I would not hesitate to use his services again or to recommend him to family or friends.

I've used his services for years now. Rick comes to my house and cleans up the computer. I am very pleased with his service. The price and the quality of his work is excellent.

My computer monitor was flashing on and off. I called Rick, and he told me that it could be one of two problems....a video card or a bad monitor. Instead of "guessing" what the problem might be and ordering expensive parts that were not needed, Rick brought a monitor with him and plugged it in, and quickly determined that my monitor had "bit the dust." He let me use his monitor so that there was no down time for me, and ordered a new one, which he guarantees for three years. Additionally, he set me up for remote contact, which I greatly appreciate, as I tend to panic when I have computer problems that I can't fix. Rick is a Christian man and doesn't try to cheat anyone just to make more money, and I do admire and respect that in a day and time when so many businesses are "all about the buck and not the customer." As long as Rick is in business, no one else will touch my computer.

We lost the sound function on the TV and Rick checked the settings and found everything to be in working order so he unplugged the cable box for a minute and when he plugged it back in the system reset itself and fixed the problem with the sound. Then he checked out the several problems we were having with the computer and found the solutions to fix everything. We were also having problems with a printer which he solved as well. Then he reset the WiFi connection on our laptop to make it perform better and initiated the process of downloading numerous updates which were available.

Rick's work was very professional and informative. He kept me updated on what was going on and shared some basics on how the printer worked to explain what could (or could not) be causing the problems. He was persistent until we got repeated clean prints. He arrived on-time, and completed the work within the time-frame that he had reserved for us.

We have known Rick for more than 20 years, and he has always been extremely helpful and knowledgeable concerning our computer needs. He has been very flexible and worked to get to us as quickly as possible when we've had those occasional "meltdowns" that take our computer out of service and hinder our ability to communicate with customers for our business. We could not recommend him more highly!

He was very thorough and patient. I couldn't even close out the e-mail, so he helped me know how to clear the screen and get to the desk top so he could fix it remotely for me. He cleaned out areas I didn't know existed. When he was finished everything was fine. I was concerned I really messed up, but he saved the day. Thank you, Rick.

He called me to explain the remote access program, then installed it from his office. He was then able to diagnose and fix the problem I was having using my external backup drive, showing me exactly how to use it. He answered all my questions through a chat program. He did not charge me for this service he provided.

Answered lots of questions and, in general, helped keep our data easy to find and safely stored. Very experienced, trustworthy and friendly. Highly recommend. Coming back to help us make some changes in set up.

After spending about four hours at my home trying to find the problem Rick ended up taking the tower home with him. He spent a lot of time finding the problem and then had to order and install the defective memory stick. He next had to reinstall all the PC programs from my backup hard drive, updating everything that needed to be updated, including loading Windows 8.1. When he returned the tower he spend another hour resetting and backing up the whole system. The brightest spot...next to getting my computer back...was the fact he only charged me for the actual hours he spent replacing the memory stick and resetting the system...and not the three weeks it took to get the part, which had a lifetime warranty and didn't cost me a cent. Rick had built the system for me a year ago and he made sure all the major components are backed with lifetime warranties. I have never experienced this kind of service from any other provider and would recommend him for any and all computer and printer related problems and service. He came to the house to set up and took his time. Answered all of the my questions and gave me lots of options. He explained everything he was doing in the process. His wife handled all of my calls regarding my PC build with great customer service and knowledge.

Perfect. Rick built a new system for me, to my specific needs. He preinstalled the new software I needed, then brought the system to my house so the stuff that was on the old machine could be transferred to the new one. He was careful to show me how to better arrange my desk area to help keep the system clean, and showed me how to clean the new machine from the destruction of cat hairs. I have worked with Rick, and his assistants, for many years, and have always found them courteous, professional, knowledgeable and helpful above and beyond.... Rick is my First Line of Defense for any computer related issues, and I have never been disappointed with them.

Rick was very helpful in taking me through the many steps of setting up the new computer, giving me choices of preferred format, program operation, and other choices to personalize my new computer and also to make it user friendly for me. He also set up my printer to work from the new computer. Various precautionary measures were implemented by him to make sure nothing was prematurely deleted. I did have some questions and slight problems operating the new computer and contacted Rick. He responded the same day to assist, to assure me of his availability to address my questions and to schedule an appt. for follow-up. We worked through some re-tweaks of the new programs. The computer is operating excellently. Could not be more pleased. I would definitely recommend Rick - particularly for those people who are have some computer knowledge but not to the degree of setting up a computer or handling technical operations. The fact that he will do home appointments (which is what I wanted and Ihad called a number of services but was told to drop off my computer) is extra nice as the computer session can be done exactly where it will be used.

Rick was terrific. He had a cancellation the day I called, so he was able to be here right away. He did a lot of work on the operating system, including calling Microsoft for some codes. After the operating system was restored he reloaded Internet Explorer and Adobe and made sure my printer was working. (I can do the rest.) All of this in 3 hrs!! I can't say enough about his work. I had checked with Staples and they wanted me to bring in my computer at an initial cost of $150. I am a senior citizen and it is not easy for me to be carrying a PC back and forth. Finding someone who would come to my home was a God send. Call Rick -- you can't go wrong!

We called him the day the printer was delivered and he arrived that afternoon. Within 30 minutes he had the printer unpacked, hooked up, installed and working. He also diagnosed and fixed a problem we were having with a laptop computer.

As our trusted computer technician, we asked Rick Aurand to recommend a TV to replace our failing antiquated model. He not only made a recommendation, which agreed with another expert opinion we already had, but also offered to purchase, deliver and set up the new TV and the CD/BluRay player we needed to go with it. The weather was bitter cold and snowing when he brought our new equipment and set it all up. We are in our 70s and it was not something we could have done on our own. We are forever grateful for his fast and efficient service both in this instance and in responding to our son's call for help when his new laptop failed and we could get no satisfaction from the company...Rick had it fixed within an hour. He is the man to call for any and all technology problems.

Rick knew what he wanted to do and went to work resetting the router, cleaning the computer and checking for malware. The work took a little longer than I expected but when I got the bill I was pleasantly surprised. He was very knowledgeable and polite. I was a little concerned having someone come in and work on the computer because of security issues. Rick put my fears at ease. I would recommend him to anyone who is cautious about having their computer worked on and concerned about the price of computer service.
