Description of Work: The work that I wanted done was a bit labor intensive. I expected the estimate from the provider to cost more than the deal time/price offered, however I wasn't expecting it to be 6 times as much. The offer gave me $249.00 worth of plumbing, his estimate to do the work was $1800.00 with the $249.00 taken out of the actual price. Perhaps I was naive about the work required, but the estimate was still way more than I expected.

Description of Work: Company representative called right after Deal was purchased online. Appointment was made for an electrical evaluation and estimates. Needed electrical socket for an air condition unit in a small bedroom. Also needed electrical sockets in home upgraded and replaced. The servicemen arrived at 9am sharp and finished at 430p same day. The serviceman in charge explained in detail everything that was needed to do the job and a walk through as to how the job would be completed. The men(2) were curtious,friendly and they cleaned up after the job was complete. I was quite satisfied and would definitely use them again.

Description of Work: No services performed. They quoted pricing from a book and pricing was super high (price quote was to install electric lighting in ceiling in a bedroom that did not currently have lighting in the ceiling)

Description of Work: I purchased this service, but haven't taken advantage of it yet. However, within a day, the company contacted me (leaving a voicemail) noting that I had purchased their services and that I could contact them anytime to schedule an appointment. The individual seemed very nice and very polite.

Description of Work: TERRIBLE!!!!! THE TECH ARRIVED TO REPLACE THE OUTSIDE FAUCET PER THE AGREED BIG DEAL COUPON PRICE OF $49. HE THEN INFORMED ME THAT THIS FAUCET WAS A FROST/FREEZE TYPE FAUCET (STANDARD FOR AN OUTSIDE FACUCET) AND THAT THIS IS NOT PART OF THE OFFER, AND THAT THIS WOULD REQUIRE A DIFFERENT FAUCET, AND INFORMED ME THAT THE NEW PRICE WOULD BE $450. (A LITTLE LESS IF I PURCHASED THEIR MEMBERSHIP FOR $99). THE PRICE THEN WOULD BE APPROX $380. I EXPLAINED THAT I WOULD NOT HAVE THE WORK DONE AT THAT PRICE. I PURCHASED THE FAUCET FOR $40. AND HAD IT INSTALLED BY ANOTHER TECH FOR $50. YOU SHOULD PREVENT THIS ORGANIZATION FROM ADVERTISING WITH ANGIE'S LIST. CLEARLY THIS WAS A BAIT AND SWITCH SALE. IF YOU WOULD REQUIRE DOCUMENTATION (WORK ORDER ESTIMATE) I CAN PROVIDE THIS TO YOU UPON REQUEST.

Description of Work: The person who came was nice enough and he fixed a problem with our electrical service box, but the price for other work I wanted done was too high.

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal outdoor faucet replacement for $49. Service was scheduled, and the technician told me that it wasn't a screw off faucet. He said he would have to cut the copper pipe to replace the faucet, and that there would be an additional charge of $200.00. I declined to spend the additional charge, and so no work was done. This seems to me t be a classic "bait and switch". I knew it wasted a screwed on faucet; if the Big Deal" had mentioned that restriction I wouldn't have purchased.

Description of Work: Installed the new water heater, said I needed a new gas pipe to bring it up to code and I bought that.for $100.

Description of Work: LOWRY CAME IN AND FIXED 5 IMPROPERLY INSTALLED OUTLETS IN MY HOUSE FROM A BOTCHED CONTRACTING JOB. LOWRY WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL AND DID A VERY GOOD JOB.

Description of Work: I liked Brandon's commitment to the safety of my household. He personally installed carbonmonoxide detectors free of charge. Although the overall price for the heater and a/c may have been more than other companies, when the air conditioner unit i ordered was not available the company upgraded me to next more efficient unit without charge. Brandon also went out of his way to inform me of PECO rebates for which I was eligible. Installation went very smoothly. The Ian and Sean were eager to show me how things worked. Cleanup was great I recommend Lowry.

Description of Work: Was advised by Phone immediately after purchasing the Big Deal by the company to say that they didn't service the Delaware area and I should get a refund from Angie's List. Very quick response.

Description of Work: I called on a Sunday re having rewiring done in a ceiling of my very old house so I that I could install a new ceiling fan-I had removed the old one and did not like the look of the old one's wiring. They called back (they are prompt at least) the next day and wanted to schedule a time to come out and look at the job. Because I had read the reviews on Angies List I asked if the estimate was free, and they told me that it would cost $49.00 just for someone to come out and look, which would be credited if I had the work done. They did not volunteer that there would be an estimate charge! Needless to say I will not be using this company-there are plenty of competent electricians who will come out and sassess the issue for free.

Description of Work: They arrived, did work, made some suggestions, left. I'm waiting over a week to to talk to Mr. Lowry about the suggestions the technician made.

Description of Work: Only had an estimate done. The prices were much too high for the little bit of work I wanted done. THe co. rep. was extremely courteous and helpful during our meeting. Should I want to do serious electrical work, I would call them back.

Description of Work: I called Lowry after finding water in the basement . I placed the call and stressed my concern for a bigger mess shortly. The reeptionist that too my call was very sensitive and eager to get someone out asap. I received a call back within an hour and had a technician here to fix the problem. Brian was the technicians name and without edcalating my concerns he slowly and patiently took me through the process and fixed the problem. Not only was he pleasant he also gave me some pointers as to what we can do to better utilize our faucets and put in salt bags into the water softner. I was unable to lift these bags. I would withoutt hesitation recommend this company. Briian cleaned up we will be calling them for future service.....thank you Brian!
