Description of Work: They quoted a price of $1,850 to replace a tub faucet from their book without looking at the tub. The work was done by Longacre's of Bally, PA for $450. Their pricing is outrageous.

Description of Work: Having successfully worked with Lowry in the past, I requested an inspection/tune-up of my furnace after being told within the first few minutes of a "complementary" inspection by an air duct cleaning company, that the unit immediately required more than $500 in cleaning services. The Lowry representative responded quickly to my call, performed a thorough inspection of the unit, answered all of my questions and advised that although a little dusty (it's a furnace!), the unit was running well. No further services or fees were required or suggested. As in the past, Lowry fully performed the service I requested, without attempting to solicit additional, unnecessary work.

Description of Work: They replaced the light switches in the recreation room. One time before that they installed a lantern on my lawn. Their work is excellent and they are very professional - its just that they are pricey. If you don't mind paying the price, they are an excellent service.

Description of Work: Replaced broken sewer and water lines, both outside the house and inside. Showed up on time, worked hard for 2 days, and completed all outside and inside work professionally. Very knowledgable about what needed to be done and how to do it. Communicated well about what they would do, and kept us informed on status. May have been slightly more expensive than others, but were well worth it. In business 34 years with full credentials and insurance.

+ -1 moreFIRST EXPERIENCE WITH LOWRYS WAS 11 PM ON A SATURDAY NIGHT; BURNING SMELL COMING FROM FUSEBOX. THEY CAME WITHIN 45 MINUTES AND FOUND THE PROBLEM. SAVED MY HOUSE! WE THEN DECIDED TO HIRE THEM TO UPGRADE FROM FUSES TO BREAKERS AND GO TO 200 AMP SERVICE FROM 100. WE HAD GREAT PEACE OF MIND KNOWING THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WAS PROFESSIONALLY UPGRADED AND SAFE. ON THAT DARK NIGHT, THE TECHNICIAN WAS VERY NICE AND FIXED IT SO THAT WE HAD LIGHT AND HEAT UNTIL THE UPGRADE COULD BE COMPLETED.
Description of Work: UPGRADED FROM FUSES TO BREAKER BOX. UPGRADED FROM 100 AMP SERVICE TO 200 AMP SERVICE. (SINGLE HOME, 50 YEARS OLD).
