The plumber called to say he would be here at 9 am and he was here early .came in and found the problem and went right to work fixing the leak and the adapter.cleaning up after I would use Lowry Plumbing ,Heating again. will call for other work........pipe for my third floor..

We were very satisfied with this company and their electrician

It turned to be too good to be true. $200 worth of work didn't turn out to be all that much. I expected that to be a few hours or even half a day. This company considers $200 of work to be about equivalent to hanging a wall fixture. I respect that the work is involved, but the price & number of hours didn't seem to add up for what I needed done. I didn't really feel like the tech that came out for the estimate was really listening to my needs & was more concerned with making the sale.

On Friday 4/27/12 I purchased the Big Deal. Within 5 minutes a person was calling my house asking if I would like to schedule an appointment. I was very pleased with their responsiveness. I told them I wished to have have two ceiling fans installed. I was asked if 9am Monday (4/30/12) would be a good time. I agreed. The serviceman was very punctual and reviewed what I wanted done. Everything was fine except for one thing. THE PRICE WAS OUTRAGEOUS. Lowry wanted $859 AFTER the $200 off. I was shocked by these prices! Installation of ceiling fans runs $99 or less in my area. I figured that the $200 worth of services would cover the cost of the installation. I might have been agreeable if I had to pay a very small sum on top. The serviceman left me with a written estimate and told me to feel free to call if I reconsidered. I told him that there was no chance of that. I really wanted to tell him that he should be very ashamed to even put forth such ridiculously high quotes! At the prices that Lowry charges their servicepeople can go on 5-6 visits a day and do just one job and make out handsomely. Even though Lowry was great for responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism I rated my overall experience as an F. Why give any credit to a firm that smiles and shakes your hand while it picks your pocket clean.

This is an easy way for a company to get $49 and not provide any services. I requested an estimate to install a spot light above my garage door. I scheduled in advance an appointment for Friday afternoon. Approximately 3:00 p.m. I was called by the office and was told to expect the technician in approx. 30 minutes. At 4:30 p.m. (1 1/2 hrs later) the technician called and asked if I want him to come today since it was late or do I want to reschedule. I took a day off work for this service and indicated I was waiting for him. He arrived after 5:00 p.m. I explained I wanted a spot light above the garage door. The electrical box was on the wall next to the garage door. He provide an estimate that was outrageous. Without any discounts it was > $1,000. After the Angie's list discount it was $593 and I was supplying the light. I previously had estimates for this work and it was < $200. How can a company charge outrageous prices and stay in business. Maybe that's why they are desperate for the $49.

Great, pushed buttons and magically the outlets worked again. More important, he reattached my meter box before it ripped siding off the house.

He called to inquire about service and they did the job the next day. Easy to work with, very pleasant experience.

Matt was very nice and good at explaining what needed to be done. Work was more expensive than home inspector indicated, but that may be inspector’s numbers.

Keith the electrician was on time, reasonably priced, provided helpful safety information and was very knowledgeable.

I basically needed a faucet repaired. I spoke to Lindsey who was very nice and she scheduled the appointment. I told her what type of faucet and said I would email a photo or whatever was needed to make sure the plumber could fix it. Brian showed up on time and was very personable and honest. But I must admit that I have never had a plumber show up at the house without tools, just a clipboard. I figured he wanted to scope out the job first and would go out later to get what he needed from the truck. Turns out that the faucet was a Moen and said he couldn't remove the fixture without destroying it so I should call them up for the parts. Which I did. He said the service included a house plumbing inspection. So he does that. Upon finding our garbage disposal underpowered he quotes me for a replacement. All well and good. But it costs $850 to replace and then I still have to pay to have another 100 dollars to replace the faucet that was supposed to be fixed for 49 bucks. When I brought this up I was told that a lot of people have been confused by the offer and that no repairs were going to be made for 50 bucks. That it was really just paying for a plumber to come out and inspect your plumbing. Again, nice guy, but I think the Big Deal was a misrepresentation and he knew as much. If that is all that was being offered, an inspection and a diagnostic, then that should have been stated in the advertisement. No labor was done whatsoever and my understanding from Brian was that none could or would be done at that price. I understand marketing speak but this offer was just plain deceptive. It seemed to me like the Big Deal was just an excuse to get into your home and try to up sell you. I wish I could recommend Lowry but this is not a way to get new clients. Be honest and only offer what you plan to provide in the deal. That's all I ask.

The electrician came out on time and he was great. He was very professional about every detail and himself. Great worker and hard worker.

I set up the appointment. They were very prompt and they did the work they said they would do. They also pointed out some other work we might need to have done if we decide to sell our home.

I feel that I was over charged for the work. It breaks down to over 200 dollors an hour for work.

We have yearly electrical system checkups done at our home, and during the last few years, Keith Fugitt has been handling our service. Keith is highly competent and provides us with pricing before doing any work for us. His customer service skills are strong, and he goes above and beyond in completing tasks and making recommendations, which we seriously consider in that we trust him. Because of representatives like Keith, we will continue to use Lowry for our electrical needs!

They got into my house through this Big Deal scheme, looked at these two small jobs and wanted to charge me $900.00. That is in addition to the one hour I already paid for and a total of about $25 worth of parts. When I asked for a breakdown of parts and labor, they said they do not do that. I ate the $50, my mistake, but I was not about to waste another dime on this outfit. They were politely asked to leave.

They actually called me about 20 minutes after I purchased the Big Deal. When he arrived he said that the $49 was for a membership to Lowry Services and the one hour of labor was for a home inspection. This was misleading and I have requested a refund from Angie's List. I wanted to have them install a garbage disposal. I thought it might cost a little bit more than the $49, but they quoted about $600.00. Then he said that since I was an Angie's List he would do the serivce for $200. I decided not to go with them since it was so misleading.

I purchased a Big Deal for Lowry to provide a service call including one hour of labor. The Big Deal was priced at $49.00. When I made the appointment for the work, I indicated exactly the work I wanted done (a bubble box on an outdoor outlet and a three-way switch replacement). The person scheduling the appointment indicated that this would not be a problem. When the technician arrived he informed me that the included one hour of labor could be used ONLY for a whole house electric system inspection, something I neither needed nor wanted. I then reviewed the Bid Deal, including the fine print. The Big Deal did not indicate any limitation of how the included one hour of labor could be used. When I pointed this out to the technician he was adamant that the included one hour could only be used for an inspection. Because I had invested so much of my time in arranging this appointment and because I had already spent $49.00 on the Big Deal, I agreed to an additional price of $83 for the work I wanted done. The technician completed the work in about 35 minutes. This "Big Deal" was nothing more than a bate and switch and I will not do business with Lowry in the future.

Job went just like it was described. The oil tank was removed by Lowry's licensed vendor without so much as drip. The new Peerless Boiler looks fantastic and so far is much quieter than the oil monster that used to live in the basement. The crew were respectful and diligent in their efforts and by all indications complete professionals and technicians.

They have been terrific. They are very responsive. They even wore booties over their shoes to protect our floors. We have used their services for different reasons over the past twenty five years. The service people tend to be personable as well.

The experience was really good. They were reliable and I felt the price was fair.
