This company is very expensive.

The person they sent out, Mike, was very professional. He was on time, and did a fabulous job. It was well worth it.

The service person was very nice and professional. I had to call the office to check as he did not arrive when promised. He apologized for being late. Work was done. That evening I noticed the toilet was running again and had a problem shutting it off so I called first thing in the morning to have him come back. They could not send him out that morning; had to take off another day of work. Had to pay $30.00 above the money I already paid. Services seem very high for the work that was performed.

Tech was over half hour late. Service was 5 times initial coupon price paid, plumbing was left unsupported so when hose is on bib it moves all over the place in the wall.

I purchases a $99for $249 worth of work coupon. Was easy to schedule and they arrived on time. I had them install/replace a celing fan and replace a light switch. It was done fast and efficiently. There have been no problems with the work and I would recommend them to others. There was no pressure to go beyond the $249, which I did.

His conclusion was that Lowry should put in a new line from the house to the garage. Since we were considering going to all that trouble, I asked for a service upgrade to a 60-amp sub panel in the garage. I understand that requires some work installing breaker boxes at both ends and using heavier copper for the runs. He was constrained by his company policy to quote trenching and installing an entire new service. His base quote with discount was $31,000. He admitted that there were several other less expensive ways to solve the problem, but that he was instructed to quote new work only. Not for this job. I have not called back. I solved the problem by installing a semi-perminent UF cable as an extension to bypass the problem area. Eventually, I will hire a proper driller to put in a conduit and upgrade/solve the problem for all time.

I used Lowry Services based upon a Big Deal that they had offered. The deal was $49 for $200 of electrical work. I needed a ceiling fan replaced so I thought this was a good deal since I have had other ceiling fans installed for approx. $150.00. After I purchased the deal, I contacted Lowry to get an idea of their hourly rates since I also wanted an outdoor flood light fixture replaced. I was informed that they cannot provide hourly pricing since all their pricing is done by the electricians once they see the job. Again I pushed for some idea of the cost per hour but was told that Lowry did not work that way. When the electrician came, he quoted me a price of approx. $400 - $440 to replace a ceiling fan. Note that I provided the new fan and had moved all the furniture out of his way so this price did not include any parts or moving of furniture. I was absolutely floored by the amount of money they wanted simply to replace the fan. Since I had already invested the $49 in the big deal (for $200 in electrical work), I decided to have them install the fan and pay the difference in price (another $200) since it would cost me that in aggravation to find another electrician and then take another day off from work. I did get a quote on replacing a flood light fixture that was located at the top corner of my first floor garage. Despite the fact that the electrician was already there and I already had the new fixture, the price would have been another couple hundred dollars. When I asked why the cost was so high considering that this would be a 1 - 2 hour job at worst, he told me that it was because he had to use an extension ladder. He said that Lowry uses a fixed price per job and showed me the book that they use for quoting specific jobs. He also said Lowry charges higher prices to cover their overhead since they provide the customer with the special service of contacting the customer to remind them of their appointment and arriving on time for their appointment. Overall, the electrician did a good job. However to me, their unwillingness to provide estimated costing on the phone and their unwillingness to charge by an hourly rate left me with a very bad impression. Having had similar work performed by other electricians, I would consider their pricing to be very excessive.

Received estimates to rebuild faucets for $550 as service man said could not be fixed on-site. I declined, and fixed faucets myself for $20 of parts. I believe knowlegable plumber should have been able to do repairs on site within cost of visit. Dispapointed.

Purchased a "Big Deal" from Angie's List. I called Lowry's to schedule an appointment. They came the very next day, gave me the differential cost above the "Big Deal", and completed the job on the spot. How great is that! Call to completion-less than 24 hours!

Overall I am happy with what I paid for the job especially since I got a free safety inspection of my main electrical panel, my outdoor electrical equipment, and all my outlets! I am just concerned that if I attempt to get further work done with this company (without a coupon), that I may not be so lucky next time. They quoted me $321 to replace a bathroom exhaust fan. I'm not sure if that is really a good price. Seems a little steep to me. Mike the technician was wonderful. He was patient, professional, and did a thorough job. He cleaned up after himself and answered all of my questions. If I have any future work done I will definitely be requesting him.

Overall it was a great experience and I would definately use them agian.

Brian arrived on time and proceeded to replace the outdoor faucet, including the pipe from the basement. He did a great job in a very timely fashion and I'm really happy with the new faucet. I'd definitely hire Lowry's again.

We purchased a $49.00 faucet replacement coupon from Angies List. Lowry staff called immediately to schedule an appointment. The appointment was scheduled for the exact time I requested. The plumber arrived as scheduled. He was polite, couresous and professional. Of course, the price was not $49 per the coupon but turned out to be an additional $125.00. The plumber did replace some pipe through the wall and add a cut-off vavle which can prevent winter freezes. I'd use the Lowry service again.

Not happy with the price, especially considering they are running a special right now - $49 to have an outdoor spigot replaced, when I payed a balance of $649.68, after the $200 was applied. Today I spoke with the general manager, who tells me that the deal is not for the frost free - that will be extra (which it DOES state on the add). Buyer beware that it doesn't cost you an additional $325 for the spiggot itself.I had Lowry do electrical work for me Feb 2000 and I felt their price and work was fair back then. That's why I didn't hesitate to buy the deal. Yes, they gave me an estimate on the job before doing it and it was my choice. But considering my original appointment had to be rescheduled due to a worker getting hurt (I hope he is better now). I scheduled for the Saturday before I went on vacation and felt I needed it to be installed, due to having landscape work scheduled to be done while I was gone. My origianl frost-free spiggot sprang, which made it spray water out the top when turned on. The other spiggot when turned on sometimeS leaked in my basement and I didn't want to take any chances on using that spiggot while I was away, so I agreed to have it done. After checking with other plumbing contractors, I now know their price was too high.

Excellent. Lowry called me to say that they saw that I bough their coupon. They asked if I wanted the work done now or in the future. I said now!. They asked if I wanted work done today, and I said yes. They said between 10 - 2pm a tech would be out and they will call when en route. They called 15 minutes later and came in 15 minutes after that and had the job done approximately 2 hours after that. I was shocked and amazed!.

Lowry gave me a four-hour window for the plumber's arrival time, from 12 to 4 pm on a Friday. I called around 3 pm to make sure they were still on their way. A gentleman told me "we'll call you back shortly." I called again around 3:35 pm, and a woman told me, "It's been a long day. They are still coming, but probably a little after 4." When they did not arrive by 5 pm, I called again, and spoke with a guy who said "I'm forwarding this to a tech, if you don't hear back from us within 15 minutes, call us back." A woman called me back at 5:15 and said, "the plumber was at your building five minutes ago, called you, you did not answer, so he left." Turns out they had the wrong number. However, since I live in a high rise with a concierge, I couldn't figure out why he didn't come in and ask for me at the front desk. They could have easily called me - at the right number - and sent him up to my apartment. I explained this to the woman at Lowry. She called him on the road, and he turned around and finally arrived at my building at 5:20 - an hour and 20 minutes after their four-hour window had expired. The plumber was great when he finally got there. He did the job fairly quickly, and I haven't had any problems with the hoses. He told me he was actually done with his scheduled jobs at 4, but the office called him and asked him to pick up "one more job" - mine. So apparently they had actually left me off the schedule, and didn't realize it until I called. At least they squeezed me in when they realized their mistake. The job didn't cost me anything above the $49 I had paid through Angie's List - but the inconvenience of waiting around for six hours probably means I won't use them again.

We had bought the Angie's List big deal, which is $249 of electrical work for $49. Mike E came and gave us the estimate, which was $1381.62 after the coupon. The total work took approximately 4 hours. He did complete the work on the day requested, but the schedulers had overbooked that day. He arrived approximately 1.25 hours after the three hour arrival window provided. I understand that construction work is not something that can be timed precisely, but this pushed the timeframe into the time when we had to pick up my child. I called Joe, a manager at Lowry, the next day about the timing concern. That was how I found out about the overbooking situation. Joe and I spoke calmly, and we were able to come to a resolution. They were responsive to my concern, which I highly appreciate. The quality of the electrical work is excellent.

They were very good to work with overall They were always very professional. For the most part, they’ve been responsive and good at what they do. They were higher than most of the estimates that we got, but we chose them for the quality of work that they’re known for doing!

They wanted to charge me an outrageous amount of money for something very basic. My neighbor was able to complete the work for far less money.

The job was done well however.....even AFTER taking out the Angie's List coupon ($49 for $249 worth of work) I still ended up paying $232.00 for this job. This is extremely pricey for the type of work performed.

We purchased the Angie's List Big Deal from Lowry for $250 of electrical work for $49. The electrician replaced 4 light switches and inspected our electrical panel. A previous electrician told us our panel had cheap circuit breakers that needed to be replaced ASAP, but we wanted a second opinion. The Lowry electrician told us the panel was in great shape and the circuit breakers were fine. He replaced the light switches quickly and efficiently.
