Scheduling the appointment was a real breeze. A professionally dressed service technician showed up, promptly at the prescribed time. We have a rather large home serviced by 2 distinct HVAC systems. This particular service visit was for the unit installed in the attic on the 3rd floor. I was impressed that upon entering our home the repairman immediately placed protective 'footies' over his work boots. As we'd recently installed expensive carpeting I was very pleased to see the company clearly requires its service technicians to be mindful of first impressions. I was even more impressed when, after the technician completed the 18 point tune up and had walked down the attic stairs, that he placed another clean pair of footies over the original footies he'd donned when he first arrived. When I asked about it he mentioned the attic flooring was quite dirty (no surprise to me as we're rarely spend any time in the attic). Further he took the time to complete his paperwork report and then discussed each section with me to ensure I understood his reporting notes. Net: I remain super impressed with the superior service level Lowry's provided. I'd recommend this service provider with no qualification or hesitation whatsoever.

They out an outlet on the end of the wire and they put a cord for the plug on the back of the stove. They came on time, he was very efficient, had it done in a short amount of time, and it was clean. He did a very good job and I was very happy with the work.

This was a great experience. Lowery was great we made the appointment for 9 am and they was at the door at 9 am. They found 2 part that went bad but I was on a budget and they worked around that budget. I will definitely work with them again.

Brian arrived and got right to work trying to locate the source of my leak. He also offered expertise on some other issues I was experiencing as I had just purchased a short sale house. He went above and beyond to complete his job and returned a second day to finish his project working with contractors I was using to renovate the building. Brian was very serious and competent. I would recommend him 100%.

Lowry's repairman arrived on time. Questioned if there were any problems with the heater. He went right to work wearing cloth protection on his shoes. After inspection was completed, repairman discussed his findings in detail and provided an estimate for central air.

It was a positive first experience with Angie's List work.

Lowry Services were professional. They called me to introduce themselves and set up an appointment.They accommodated my changes and showed up on time. They performed the services professionally and provided tips on how to maintain the outdoor faucet during the winter months. All-in-all they were "aces".

Although the services were a little more costly than I had anticipated, I was very pleased with the level of professionalism that the technician displayed. He explained everything that he was doing to me. It has been a couple months since I got the services done and I am pleased.

Because our house loses power regularly, we decided we wanted to get a good quality generator. An inexpensive model we had had for years did not work reliably. We called Lowry's and received an estimate for a top-quality 6500W portable unit, and installing it to our electrical system. The person who gave the estimate helped us select the appropriate model. He was an electrician, not just a salesman. We wanted this done quickly, and he was able to find us a unit the very next day. He was the person who did the installation. He took the time to set it up correctly, including making sure that the circuits we wanted were wired for the generator. The work involved installing a switcher box next to our house's fuse box, and then setting up a single outside outlet. He took the time to show me how to use the generator and how to maintain it. We decided to also buy an annual maintenance agreement, since there is some maintenance work that I don't feel competent to do regularly. We did lose power a few days later, and the generator worked perfectly. We had lights throughout the house, and the refrigerator, computers, and internet all stayed powered. Switching them to generator power is simple. The generator itself has a starter motor and starts with an ignition key. Once it starts, all that I have to do is flip a few toggle switches. The installer's work was careful and thoroughly professional.

We hadn't had our furnace or radiators inspected in years. I didn't even realize that the furnace was installed back in the 70s. The radiator system was a "top of the line" in 1938 when the house was built, but the system is starting to show it's age. There are a few leaks here and there, so the radiators have to be bled and the water pressure adjusted before the heating season starts. Branden provided us with complete service, a detailed inspection report, and gave us a couple of low cost recommendations for how to increase the inefficiency of our boiler and extend it's life for a few more years. I highly recommend Lowry Services, and especially Branden. I had planned to use some of the other Big Deals, in order to compare companies and get discounts, but I was so impressed with Lowry Services, that I'm now leaning away from that idea.

Bought an Angie's List coupon for this company to come out and rewire some stolen electrical lines in my basement. (The breaker panel's in good shape, and the basic infrastructure is otherwise sound; replacements were simply required.) They were supposed to come between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., but I got a call from their office telling me that their tech was going to be late. When their tech finally arrived, he called me to say that he couldn't find my house because of how poorly they're numbered on my street. How very tactful. This paragon of graciousness then went down into the basement and condescendingly told me that this was a big job, and that he needed to do [insert list of fairly simple tasks here] that were going to cost almost $2500. I should note that when I asked to see the figure, he started sales-pitching me right away on how I'd get a great deal for being an Angie's List customer, and they'd take my coupon into consideration as well. Then he shows me an estimate for $2400, as opposed to the $3000+ that they'd normally charge. Again, this isn't a job that requires an extensive amount of labor or skill, and I'd about had it with this guy's rudeness, lateness, and condescension anyway. I told him to take a hike, and I'm currently looking for a place that doesn't prey on the ill-informed to handle this job. I should mention that after I bought the coupon some of the reviews here gave me pause, but I was willing to give this company a chance. I'll be applying for a refund on that coupon shortly, since it seems that this company basically just price-gouges people who don't know any better by making things seem far worse than they are.

They were very nice & very prompt but they were pretty expensive. I had other estimates that came in around the same price but I've found a handyman service that more in my price range. The work they did was fine though. They came out & provided the electrical service I needed at the time. I used them for heating & cooling services as well when my air conditioner went out. They came out & did tune-ups & such & did a really good job with that.

They called within seconds of my placing the order to schedule the appointment and I was very impressed with that alone. Then, they were very accommodating with the time and date of the appointment. The person arrived early and was finished with the job in about 5 minutes. I know that it wasn't the most complicated job, but if they are willing to treat this tiny job with the amount of professionalism that I experienced, I can only imagine how they would handle a large job. If I need anything that has to do with plumbing/heating/electrical in the future, I will definitely be calling them.

I purchased a $49 deal on Angies List for $200 worth of work. I needed a hot tub hooked up and also wanted an estimate to upgrade our very old house from 100 to 200-amp. The electrical service technician came out on time and was very professional and gave me lots of advice. He was the first of 3 electricians I had come give estimates for these 2 jobs. Lowry was FAR and AWAY the most expensive estimate, nearly TWICE as much as the other two electricians' estimates. I guess they gets lots of work from people who don't know better. I still have my Angie's List coupon for $200 worth of work. I'll use it for something minor in the future, maybe it'll be worth changing out an outlet or two. Otherwise, I will not be calling Lowry again. *Additionally: I also had a Lowry plumbing technician come out the same day, to look at a major plumbing issue. Again, the technician was on time and very professional and personable. However, the estimate for the work was FAR more than the other 2 estimates we've received. One point I did not care for: there was a steep cost included in the estimate for a permit. When I asked about this, I was told that Lowry charges everyone the same amount for permits, no matter the Township requirement. Really? I should not have to pay for a permit at all for REPAIR work, AND I should only have to pay what the township requires, not some inflated "across the board" standard fee. Sorry, Lowry... you're not my company.

They came right out and took care of it.

Complete sewer line from house to street and replacement of drain. Work was done on time, proficient, and meet and/or exceeded all expectations. Angel was a real doll and was helpful in explaining all details and answered all my questions to my understanding or the job that was done. I would definitely use again. Nice to meet honest contractors. This business card is a keeper! Cleanup and professionalism of the workers exceeded my estimation. Well done A+++.

It went quick and smooth, luckily I had $249 voucher from Angie's List and only had to pay an extra $1

They were great. They came and did exactly what was needed and on time and on budget. Would use them again. Excellent work.

The repairman came out the same day we placed the call and he was on time. He took care of the problem, advised what to do to prevent the issue from happening again. He asked if I had an Angie's list coupon, which I had forgotten to print out - he was nice enough to wait while I printed out the coupon. After checking my lists of reviews I noticed I had neglected to review this company when I first received the service, it was not a reflection on their service, just an interruption of brain service on my part. This was a very positive service experience and I would use this company again,and would recommend them.

They were very professional and timely. I was very happy.

Work was done at good quality, albeit it seemed a bit slow. Primary complaint is that the prices were quite high compared to another major plumber that provided quote for the same work.

I have a very old furnace that needed parts replaced and left me without heat during the bad weather here on the East Coast. I am a member with Lowry for both heating and plumbing, which gives me supposed faster service and discounted prices. On the first visit they made to my home yesterday, one of their technicians replaced a part on my furnace and subsequently found a gas leak. I had already signed off on the part replacement fee of $208 when he showed me the location of the leak then proceeded to leave my house without shutting off the gas. I had to notify my gas company, who made me leave my home while they inspected the leak and proceeded to shut of my gas until the leak has been repaired. No heat again! Today a different technician from Lowry came out to check the part with the leak and quoted me nearly $800 for a replacement part that won't be here until next week. I am obviously thankful that they are going to be able to fix the problem, but it seems to me that they are extremely overpriced. Also, the first technician clearly put myself and my family in danger by leaving my house with the gas leak that he had found. On top of it all, they continue to push me to get my entire furnace replaced for over $8000 for a 96% efficient unit. The first time Lowry came out was to fix a plumbing problem and I had a great experience. I am starting to regret purchasing a membership with the company because I feel locked into a contract with a company that I no longer trust. If you have money to spare, they will do the work you need done as long as you go with their most expensive options (such as an entire furnace replacement). I do not recommend using this company. As of now, I am supposed to get the second part replaced sometime next week. Here's to hoping the weather warms up this weekend.

They came out and gave an estimate. The guy was very nice and seemed like he would do a good job. I knew there would be a price difference, but the difference was just too much, so I had the deal refunded.
