There was very good communication with the Lowry office for setting the service date and rescheduling due to a training day conflict at Lowry. The service tech, Ron, arrived on time. He was courteous, professional, in a clean Lowry uniform and was careful to ask permission before doing anything. He provided quotes that I asked for on additional plumbing needs. The Angie's List Deal was for replacing one outdoor faucet bib. While he was there, I asked for a quote to replace a second one. I felt that the price was high, but must admit that I am not up to date on plumbing services pricing. I agreed on the price and he replaced both bibs in less than a half hour. The work looked good and he demonstrated the water flow from the new faucets. Before leaving he asked if there was anything else that I may want looked at. Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend them and I would not hesitate to hire them for future electrical or plumbing jobs if the price was competitive.

I found the Lowry Services plumber and representative to be not only professional but personable. He arrived on time for the appointment wearing a uniform with his name displayed and a clipboard in his hand ready to not just provide an estimate but to supply a service if desired. After showing Bobby the area where the hose faucet needed to be installed, he referenced his binder with the prices for such a job and explained how the price was determined so that there would be no surprises. These prices were far more reasonable, a little over $100 cheaper than an estimate I received from another company days earlier. As a result of purchasing the services through Angie's List, he informed me that I would be entitled to a discount not just with this service but future ones as well, and he even went over how the discount would be determined. This made me feel comfortable, and I did not feel like I was being taken advantage of. Since the hose faucet was to be installed for the outside of the home, Bobby suggested that he come through the back entrance to gain access to the basement as to not track any dirt in the home, which I really appreciated. The job did require that he do some drilling through a stone wall and hook up the faucet to a PEX plumbing system. A previous plumber I was considering using was unwilling to do the job because this system required special tools, but it was no problem at all for Lowry Services. Bobby finished the job in no time and went over how he went about hooking up everything and gave me tips to ensure that the hose faucet would last for many years to come, such as turning off the water from the inside of the home and turning on the faucet to let out any remaining water during the winter so that the pipe did not freeze and/or break. He also gave me with a nice folder packet with other services they provide. I will definitely consider using this company in the future for plumbing and possibly other services as well.

Electrician was the same individual that did the work. He stayed in touch by telephone . It was necessary that I had some time to save some money for the project. He was very accomadating and worked within my timeframe. He was on time. The estimate was reasonable. Discussed the proper size for the circuit breaker panel. Removed obsolete circuits. Cleaned up after his work. I agreed to do some drywall work in order to keep the cost down. Overall the installation went very well.

The good reviews must come from people who no little about electricians. This company refuse to quote or offer any price guidance over the phone and with good reason. they charged $470 to install an exterior outlet when power was nearby. this is a 30 min job that most electricians will charge $200. They frequently offer coupons and special deals such as $50 for 250 in services but, because they double their price, you'll end up behind (like me). If you use them, you absolutely must get a not exceed price in advance (which i think they will refuse to provide as it kills their business model).

I was very,.very pleased with the service. It seemed expensive but the technician had a book and did the estimate based on published rates. I actually was going to have them install under the cabinet lighting in my kitchen but as we talked I mentioned about recessed lighting and the electrician explained the advantages of the recessed lighting and he was so right! He was able to adjust his schedule, go to a distributor and get the lights and call a coworker to assist. They had the lights installed before I knew it and the two outside outlets. He also showed me that I had a code violation in my breaker box and he took care of it for me at no charge. Then he walked me around to the side of my house and showed me that the main electric cable had a significant tear in it and explained how water would accumulate and ultimately result in a power surge. He suggested I get it fixed which I will. He was very professional, very efficient and very nice.I will absolutely call them to do the additional work. The total cost was $2200 which seemed expensive but they were so proficient at what they did that they instilled great confidence and you just knew the job was being done right. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who needed electrical work.

When the tech came he was prepared with a big notebook to go over additional prices before solving the problem. He solved the problem without any difficulty.

I had a very positive experience with Lowry. Mike arrived on time and was very professional, knowledgeable and clean. I found their prices to be competitive. I would definitely recommend them and will use them in the future.

Original service requested was to repair toilet leak. While servicer was here all hardware and internal equipment was upgraded. While servicer was on site, I extended requests to have bathtub hardware upgraded. Servicer was responsive, polite and left the bathroom clean when finished.

The estimate for the job was $5830! The existing wiring(4 15-amp circuits, no ground) could not be updated, only a new breaker panel would be installed. A new circuit for the AC would be the only one with a ground. My main concern was the high cost of the job.

We bought a new faucet set for our kitchen sink then decided to hire someone to install it. The mechanic was very professional and not only installed the faucet but replaced the pipes and shut off valves (which were in bad condition). When the flow seemed a little slow he "blew" out the feeding pipe and cleared the line.. I was very satisfied with the work but the price of the valves was very high (I did check on the internet and those prices were the same so it was not an overprice).

We bought an Angie's List deal for electrical services from Lowry ($249 worth of services for $49). Though the guy that came out was super nice, and helpful, it was clear that this deal was only intended as a marketing gimmick to extract more business from the customer. After a quick assessment of what we considered minor needs, the estimate to actually finish the work was astounding and prices were insanely high. So I felt bamboozled in that way and would never buy a deal like this again. To reiterate, the guy that came was very professional and we liked him a lot and he was professional about doing what he was assigned to do, but this is company is a sales organization as much as an electrical services company, and the this deal was not in fact a deal at all. I cannot say whether their service justifies their prices, but you will pay top dollar when hiring Lowry, and I distrust them now based on my feelings that we were baited.

the person that came out had to replace some pipe because he couldn't put a torch near the faucet because of the vinyl siding. We opted to get the shutoff value replaced as well for another hundred. It did surprise us that to shut off the water (functional valve 3 feet from the supply), cutting the pipe and installing a 4-5 feet of plastic pipe, a compression fitted valve and the faucet would normally cost over $500 but with Angie's discount it was about $350. I was disappointed to learn that once the main water supply was turned back on the line wasn't bled nor was my wife told that it needed to be bled. When she started to use the water and it came out black, she called Lowry who informed her that the lines needed to be drained. Still no instructions but she called me at work and I walked her through what to do. I would have rated "A" for quality if they had at least warned my wife that she needed to bleed the lines.

Save your money, it appears to be a scam, they charge your $49 as an estimate. Their prices are almost obscenely through the roof. No wonder they are in such a hurry to get out to you, as they appear to be cleaning up! The experience throws the whole value of Angie's list into question for me. As far as electrical work, unless it is something real complicated or requires code work, find a handy friend or handyman down the street to do it, you'll save big time! Don't be a sucker!

I felt like they gave a "Big Deal" on Angie's list so that they could get into the house and then overcharge for what was done. I was not pleased with the experience.

Work went very well, but they are too pricey.

We purchased the Big Deal for $49 for $249 worth of electrical service. We called to schedule and they were able to come out the next day. They troubleshooted the issue we were having with our front door light and ended up replacing the switch. They replaced the outdoor flood light with an LED we had previously purchased. All work was finished within 90 minutes. The only downside was their prices. We felt the charges for 2 fairly simple tasks were pretty steep (We had to pay $15 of pocket over the voucher value), as they did not install anything 'new'. We asked for estimates on some future work, but those prices were even higher! We will not ask them to come back, since we cannot afford them, but the work they did was fine.

A Big Deal for $49 plus extra services.

Technician arrived on time and did a professional job with courtesy and knowledge.

They are a local firm and were very good. They were punctual, neat, clean and picked up after themselves. They took care of the job very nicely. They did exactly what they said they would do and I could not have asked for more than that. The people who they have sent us have always been very well experienced. I hardly have to wait for them because when I call and make an appointment they are there which is very convenient.

The electrician showed up on time; assessed what needed to be done; went right to work; and did a fine job. He was a most pleasant person, conducted a free inspection of my box, and gave me the results. Excellent experience.
