Description of Work: My 1953 vintage exterior hose faucet was leaking; Brian from Lowry's inspected it and saw that it is concreted into the brick wall of my house, so not easy to remove and replace. I was disappointed hearing that, but Brian told me not to worry, that he would try to repair the existing faucet, which is in great shape except for the leak. He worked on it and--sure enough--was able to fix it! It may sound like a small thing, but the location of the faucet is critical to keeping my gardens alive in dry weather. He also located the shut off valve for the faucet and gave me some great advice for when I have the bathroom in the basement restored. I will definitely call Lowry first for that project as well as any other plumbing, electric or HVAC needs!

Description of Work: I had a laundry tub and faucet replaced in the basement. Also had some faucets replaced in the Kitchen and bathroom. The Gentleman was very punctual and courteous. I was very happy that I did not have to wait for the services.

Description of Work: The man was polite and mannerly. But why pay so much for a washer in the sink for a new shower head that is still dripping.

Description of Work: Everything was great until the estimate came. I wanted to do more of the same work I had done a few years ago with a different electrician: specifically to add some new lines. The guy's knowledge was great. He was helpful in explaining some issues to me. But his price was more than $1,000 for the same job that was priced at $200 a few years ago. I have more time to use the original deal, and I still might, but not for that job.

Description of Work: We had the basement waterproofed by another company, and during the process, they removed a suspended ceiling, leaving wiring hanging down. We called Lowry, and they came out to clean it all up, and they also replaced the electrical panel.

Description of Work: The work was done over a year ago; they repaired my air conditioner. I thought they were pretty expensive.

Description of Work: Beware!! I purchased their Big Deal for AC tune up. This is a scam. They basically used this as an opportunity to come in and try to find problems with perfectly good AC unit. They even tried to tell me my unit had mold and miraculously they have an air purifying system they could install for $$1,200. I didn't purchase anything more than the tune up, but then I had another trusted AC company look at everything and nothing Lowry told me was true! This was a total waste of $49 and put me in a total panic for no reason. I thought since Angie's list was promoting this deal it was a good deal. It was not.

Description of Work: Stop leaking faucet. They told me the faucet had to be replaced for $750 but they could reduce that to $570 and give me $250 credit for my coupon. My coupon was for coming out and 1 hour service, however Lowrey does not bill by the hour so the coupon was inaccurate. They were to charge me $250 for a faucet but I got the same thing for $60 at a plumbing supply and still had to pay $122 in addition to the $49 for the coupon for work that took only 50 minutes. They removed an old single lever kitchen faucet and replaced it with one I purchased.

Description of Work: We just came home from the hospital mid-afternoon on Saturday. My husband had a heart procedure and the house was 54 degrees. We called Larwry and they sent someone within the hour. He checked things out a part was needed that they couldn't get until Monday. The head of the company filled his truck with heaters and was ready to come over to prevent our pipes from freezing. We then found out that our meter was broken as we had no hot water and gas for the stove. We ended up having to call PECO, but the responsiveness we received from the company was amazing! When we need a new heater (soon) we will call them.

Description of Work: Had Lowry come out for an estimate for some very basic re-wiring of lights in an unfinished basement. The rep told me it was a one man job and would take about half a day. Their estimate was almost $5000.00 and there were no parts-only labor! I had another company come out and the estimate was $500.00 Like everyone else says, Lowry seems to dramatically overcharge.
