I hired them to perform a home inspection and I was very pleased with the experience. They were responsive and punctual and throughout the inspection, they kept me in the loop, explaining what they were doing. They were fair and at the same time didn't sugar coat issues, so I can now be confident that I know what I'm getting into with this house.

They did not note that the gas dryer had a plastic hose that is definitely not up to code and there was a range connector that was questionable. (See picture) Also, buyer noted that there was a gas smell and all they wrote up was the gas dryer. After closing on the house, gas was smelled again and the gas company came out and red tagged my furnace and pinned the gas lines outside. This is causing me unnecessary problems that should have been avoided by this home inspection. Don't hire.

Great service and on-time appointment

Our inspector Alex spent a great deal of time walking us (first time homebuyers) through our house pointing out what he was including in his report, general home repair and maintenance tips, and even help in budgeting what to expect by way of repair etc. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a thorough inspection!

Kelly/Eagle Home Inspections has been a pleasure to do business with. He greatly exceeded our expectations after reading reviews of his company, as well as several others. He was friendly, professional, honest, and made us comfortable as first-time home buyers. He set clear expectations from the start, he willingly addressed all of our concerns and answered questions as they arose. Inspection/Report: The inspection itself went smoothly - Kelly and his associate were very thorough and took pictures of all of the major (and some not-so-major) identified issues. They told us from the start we were more than welcome to follow them around and ask questions; they assured us we wouldn?t get in the way (but they did not make us feel obligated to do so either). We received the report via email several hours after the completion of the inspection - same day! The report was very easy to follow and clearly identified areas of significance from the rest of the findings. I forwarded the report to 3 family members (2 of which were/are involved in the real estate industry), and they all expressed how impressed they were with the inspection report. My aunt and uncle actually said it was by far the most thorough and well done inspection report that they had ever seen (uncle is a contractor and has bought/sold several homes, aunt used to work in real estate industry as well). Follow-Up: Perhaps more importantly, Kelly?s follow-up and responsiveness post-inspection have been incredible. During the inspection, Kelly told us he'd be more than happy to answer any questions during and after the inspection, but I did not expect him to go as far as he has. I called the business number with a question one day and Tammy told me to call Kelly directly on his cell phone. He has taken the time to speak with us numerous times since the inspection to assist us with prioritization of our response to inspection for the sellers, and to clarify some questions we had. He spoke to our agent a few times, I believe he spoke with the sellers' agent, and he even took the time to speak with the sellers AND their contractor to discuss some of the issues we requested they repair on different occasions. We really can't say enough about how impressed we were with Eagle Home Inspections and would definitely recommend them to others. From the thoroughness of the inspection, Kelly?s ability to explain things to people with no background in real estate, construction, plumbing, electrical engineering, etc, the composition and timeliness of the inspection report, to his follow up, we highly recommend Kelly to anyone in need of a home inspection.

Kelly was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely thorough and great at touching base with us throughout the inspection to provide updates and feedback. He is highly detailed and we feel 100% comfortable with his inspection of our new home. They took the time, went through it with us, as they were inspected, made recommendations on the spot, answered every question, and pointed out things along the way. Kelly was punctual and went through the entire house with us and explained what will need to be fixed and what his major recommendations were. He made us feel very comfortable with the home buying process as first time home buyers and explained to us the easiest ways to fix certain scenarios. I recommend them to anyone search for an inspection in the Pittsburgh area. We received the report within a few hours and were able to ask any questions and have them responded to in a timely fashion. Thank you so much guys!

Kelly showed up at the time he stated even though it was snowing. Was very professional. Put booties on his shoes so he wouldn't soil the carpeting. Explained very thoroughly everything every step of the way. Took his time and sent us a detailed report within several hours of completion. If you need a home inspection do not hesitate to use Eagle Home Inspections, you will not be disappointed.

Let me start with the appointment making process. They were the only company that responded to my requests for appointments on Saturday and Sunday evenings. They were prompt with scheduling and working with my schedule. They called and confirmed and were 100% accessible via email. Kelly was the home inspector he was excellent. He was overly thorough found things and point things out to me that wouldn't appear on the home inspection but for me to keep in mind. Showed me things to take pictures of and was a wealth of knowledge. Offered his experience and background to make the process of understanding the different issues a house brings a lot easier. He took his time and his report was prompt and thorough. Would use them again and highly recommend them to anyone.

Kelly was prompt and professional from start to finish. He was on time, actually beat us to the house, and thorough. He checked out the roof, the attic, basement, electrical systems, and plumbing systems. We were there for several hours and as my husband says, "He really earned his dime!" Kelly would call our attention to things he thought we should definitely check out. I would recommend this company to anyone considering a home purchase. Worth the money! We bought the house knowing what we had to repair right away and what could wait.

As a first time home buyer, I was nervous about the home inspection process. I didn't know what to expect or much of what I was looking at in the house. Kelly and Brian took the time to explain everything they were looking for and everything that they found. I was so impressed and appreciative that they took the time to explain what they found and what I should do about it. They were very thorough, professional, honest, and kind. Kelly was careful and did not cut corners. He found a pipe in the basement that was not in good repair and suggested we have a plumber look at it. I am glad we did because had we not we would have purchased a home in need of thousands of dollars in repair. We were able to walk away from our contract and find a home in good repair, and we felt confident that it truly was after Kelly's inspection.
