Description of Work: Vented dryer to the outside instead of into the garage. Improved airflow from dryer over what was available before. Clothes dry faster. Now that winter is upon us need to contact about replacing louvered vent cover with one that seals duct when dryer not in operation. I believe heat pump pulls cold air through duct work into house. Money saved clothes drying is offset by longer heat pump runtimes. Will give A rating if method of duct sealing is found that shuts off cold air.

Description of Work: He cleaned my dryer vents which are in the attic. He also found that the current system is not vented outside the house...a construction mistake that we have lived with for over 25 years. The vent is above an awning over the back deck that we will have taken down in October. As soon as it is down, he will return and hook up a new vent to take the dryer air out of the house. We were very satisfied with him.

 + -1 moreMany years ago, a flexible duct dryer vent had been installed. The sagging duct work ran across the open ceiling of our unfinished Florida room to be vented outdoors. There was insulation wrapped around the duct which was filled with nasty water, either from condensation or a leak in the ductwork. This whole arrangement has always scared me a bit, and would be a hidden monster if we finish the Florida room ceiling. Jerry, the Dryer Vent Wizard, came out to inspect the mess. He agreed with me that the best solution would be to replace the incorrect flexible duct work with solid duct, installed to go straight out of the dryer and through the roof, creating a much shorter path to the outside. He came out a couple days later to do the installation (at my convenience, when the weather was nice).
Description of Work: Had a new exhaust vent installed for my clothes dryer.

Description of Work: My dryer was taking two cycles to dry a large load of wash. Jerry (owner/operator) was professional, prompt, and reasonably priced. I was very pleased with his service and will call him again to service our dryer. The cost to evaluate dryer efficiency is well worth it versus just going out and buying a new one. Plus a potential fire hazard if not attended to.
