Person that did estimate was polite, but actually turned down several items I wanted done that the installers later said they'd certainly be able to do. I paid my deposit within a few days of the estimate. I was told that windows would be installed 4 to 8 weeds after that. After a few calls, installation occurred on the 12th week; the excuse was that my custom sized historic windows took longer to come in than expected. The installation crew was fast and very friendly. They dealt very well with a very bad parking situation. Matus Windows contacted the Philadelphia Historic Commission on my behalf and got approval before the job was started; this is a big plus!

Price estimate at home was very low-pressure. Salesman, Joe, was a little difficult to contact, but did respond to questions and messages in a timely manner. Only complaint is that a couple features he mentioned never made it onto the work proposal or finished product. But they were minor things. Crew arrived on time (early!) and in good spirits. They worked for over six hours without a break, before finishing for the day. They were pleasant and responsive to questions and comments as I noticed things. Did a pretty good clean up job, though I did have to follow with a vacuum inside. Replaced storm door on side door with no problems. Replaced front door, storm door, and transom window. Because house is over 100 years old, there was some extra work involved, but it was handled expertly. All gaps were filled and insulated well. When the job was done, the doorbell button outside was malfunctioning, so it was replaced (with a much nicer one).

We used Marvin windows & are very happy with the quality of the product. Matus Windows is a very professional operation & the workmen are superb. They did an excellent job installing. The only negative is that our salesman often did not get back to me in a timely manner on various questions. There was an unnecessary delay in ordering the windows. This could have been avoided if he had been more on top of things. Other than that, he did an excellent job- as did the workmen. Everyone was easy to work with. Great company.

The installer that first came out wasn't very positive and I told him about some of the items that needed to be fixed on the doors. The original installer left metal shavings on my door mats instead of asking me to move them. I called and talked to the owner and he came out and made all the adjustments on the doors. He also left me some touch up paint. I also have old windows on my house that needed repaired and they also did that for me free of charge.

Pretty good. The installation was performed over three different orders. Depending on the crew assigned to the job on a given day, the quality differed somewhat. Overall very good to work with.

The representative who came out to our house was friendly and helpful. We had an awful experience at the showroom when the gentleman who was there knew we were ''working'' with one of his colleagues and was unhelpful and even a little rude. After that, our order got lost, and the windows were not ordered right away. The original representative (Michael I believe) was extremely nice and helpful and did his very best to get things back on track. Overall, I felt like they acknowledged that they had screwed up and tried to make the best of a bad situation. The window installation went VERY well. They work wonderfully and look great.

IT TOOK TWO HOURS FOR THE WORK TO BE COMPLETED. THEY RESEALED ALL OF THE DOORS AND STOPPED A LEAK FROM THE PREVIOUS OLD DOOR. THEY ORDERED THE DOOR AND IT WAS DELIVERED AND INSTALLED ON TIME.

Seems pricey, but professionalism is worth paying for and I like the Marvin patio door.

Overall I was a little disappointed with the experience with Matus. It took a little long to get all the supplies in before they could do the work and then we scheduled the work three weeks out from there. On the day the work was to be performed, I had to call the office. It turns out we were not put on the scheduled. the good part of this is that they do not use sub-contractors and they had a team in the area that they were able to send over right away. All that being said, the day of the work the men who came were professional and polite and cleaned up great! I will use Matus to finish the job.

Alex responded and came quickly to provide an estimate (email and hard copy), and revised the estimate to accomodate changes promptly. The doors are custom manufactured, so lead time was about 6 wks, and they were more expensive than what you find in Home Depot, etc. The installer came and installed with no problems.

Company is listed as being approx. 14+ miles from my home. No notation was evident that they do not perform work in this area. When I called to ask about a visit, I received a rather curt, irritated reply from the woman who answered the phone that my home was too far away for them. Strike one for customer relations. Matus should make clear what their service radius is--and then send their receptionist to a PR/customer relations training course. Business must be exceptionally good for such arrogance.

I spoke with a woman there & she said she would have someone get back to me. I never heard from her!

My windows look and work wonderfully. The individuals who installed my windows took were friendly and did not mess up my house. They did a great job.

I am extremely happy with the doors, both in function and appearance. They were expensive but very solid, and I was able to choose 3 different styles and colors for the 3 doors. The salesman arranged for one of the doors to be made a little bit different from the model. It took 3 months from the day the salesman came to measure to delivery and installation. The installer was meticulous in making a tight fit for each of the doors.

Nice people, from the salesman to the installer. Work was done professionally, and the price was similar to other estimates I got. I chose Matus because they had high ratings on Angie's List.

ALTHOUGH I LIKED MATTUS' PROMPT RESPONSE, I GAVE THE JOB TO ANOTHER COMPANY FOR A COUPLE OF REASONS: (1)THEY BROUGHT A WINDOW TO SHOW ME AND EXPLAINED ITS VARIOUS FEATURES, AND (2)THEY GAVE A LIFETIME TRANSFERABLE WARRANTY ON MATERIALS AND LABOR.

VERY FRUSTRATED THAT THEY WOULD SHOW NO LOYALTY TOWARD LONG-TERM CUSTOMERS LIKE US.

TWO MEN CAME AND DID ALL THE WORK IN ONE DAY. THEY WERE VERY PLEASANT, EFFICIENT, AND THEY WERE EXCELLENT CRAFTSMEN. I AM EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE JOB. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO ANYONE WITH NO RESERVATIONS.

VERY RELIABLE AND METICULOUS IN THEIR WORK. WILL COME BACK IF THERE IS A PROBLEM. ALL WORK GUARANTEED.

THE SALESPERSON IN SHOWROOM WAS PLEASANT AND NOT PUSHY. HE, HIMSELF, CAME OUT TO MEASURE. AS SOON AS THE DOORS CAME IN THE INSTALLATION TOOK PLACE VERY PROMPTLY.
